Our Philosophy

As the founder of Bay Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, P.A., Dr. Richard Miller is known for his caring, warmth and dedication to his patients. He has been practicing in the Tampa Bay area since 1988 and was recently honored by Tampa Bay Magazine as one of the region’s finest dermatologists. Board Certified, he specializes in diseases and surgery of the skin as well as cosmetic/laser surgery.

Dr. Michael E. Krutchik, co-director of Bay Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, is board certified in dermatology and has been in practice since 1993.  Dr. Krutchik specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the skin, hair, and nails as well as cutaneous surgery.

Co-director David W. Dorton is a board certified dermatologist who has been with Bay Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery since August 1995. He specializes in diseases of the skin, hair and nails and his areas of expertise include cancer surgery, various laser treatments, sclerotherapy, chemical peels, Botox and dermal fillers.

David Esguerra, Co-Director of Bay Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, P.A., is a board certified dermatologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of the skin, hair and nails. His practice involves numerous surgical and cosmetic procedures, laser surgery, skin cancer screening and cancer surgery, as well as general dermatology.

Dr. Kristin Witfill, Board Certified Dermatologist, has been practicing in the Tampa Bay area for over 16 years. She is co-director/co-owner of Bay Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, the largest privately owned dermatology practice on the west coast of Florida.

Dr. Jason Swerdloff is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. He provides an important role as Bay Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery’s Facial Plastic Surgeon, practicing out of our Palm Harbor, Spring Hill, and Downtown St. Pete offices.

Krina Chavda, graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2004 and was recognized by the National Osteopathic Honor Society. She completed her dermatology residency at St. Johns Episcopal Hospital in New York in 2007. Dr. Chavda specializes in both adult and pediatric dermatology.  She also offers a full array of general cosmetic dermatology services.

Summer Moon is a board certified dermatologist and a melanoma survivor with special interest in early detection of skin cancer. Dr. Moon accepts adults and children with a variety of dermatologic conditions, including psoriasis, eczema, acne, warts, and skin cancers. Dr. Moon preforms outpatient surgical and Cosmetic procedures including Botox and fillers.

Risa Ross is a board certified dermatologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of skin, hair, and nails. Her practice involves medical, cosmetic and pediatric dermatology, as well as skin cancer surgery. Dr. Ross treats patients of all ages and has trained with top pediatric dermatologists in the country.

Jaimie Bryan, PA-C, MPH, is a board certified Physician Assistant. She has been practicing with Bay Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, P.A. since 2005. Jaimie attended the University of South Florida, the University of Florida, and Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale where she completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.

Lou Ann received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Tampa, graduating with High Honors.  She is board certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing.  Before beginning her career as an ARNP-C, Lou Ann completed undergraduate work at Eckerd College earning a Bachelors of Arts in Human Development, graduating with High Honors.

Karen E. Rosochowicz, PA-C, MPH, is a certified Physician Assistant who joined Bay Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, P.A. in 2007. She is a second-generation Tampa native and has been practicing dermatology in the Tampa Bay area since 2002.

Ms. Weston graduated with a Master’s of Science in Nursing from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing in Baltimore, Maryland, in 2003. She is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Before beginning her career as an ARNP-C, she received an undergraduate degree in nursing from Towson State University in Towson, Maryland.

Bonnie L. Nestler is a board certified Nurse Practitioner and has been practicing with Bay Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery since 1999.  She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of the skin, hair, and nails.  Her practice also involves cosmetics, including anti-aging programs and various laser treatments.  She welcomes all adult and pediatric patients.  Bonnie’s mission is to deliver superior dermatological care to her patients.  She believes in spending enough time with her patients to assure they are educated on both their diagnosis and treatment plan.

Katie Bernhardt, PA-C, is a certified Physician Assistant new to Bay Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery. She joins after practicing both medical and aesthetic dermatology in Jacksonville for almost 5 years. Katie graduated as Valedictorian with a Master of Clinical Medical Sciences and Physician Assistant Studies from Barry University. She received a dual bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and Exercise Science & Nutrition from Florida State University.

Michelle Tursi is a certified adult-gerontology nurse practitioner through the National Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She obtained her Associates Degree in Nursing from Pasco-Hernando State College and her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida. Her nursing background includes progressive and critical care, and holds a certification in critical care nursing.

Dr. Bindernagel received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami (FL), where he majored in both biology and Spanish with a minor in chemistry. He attended medical school at Kansas City University where he was enrolled in the DO/MBA program with a focus on healthcare leadership in conjunction with Rockhurst University’s Helzberg School of Management. After graduation, he joined the HCA Healthcare/USF Morsani College of Medicine GME dermatology residency program in Largo, FL. During his four years in residency, Dr. Bindernagel served patients throughout the Tampa Bay area including those at Bay Dermatology. He taught and mentored medical students from across the country during his training and served as chief resident during his final year. He is an author of several peer-reviewed, scientific publications and has presented his research at local, state and national conferences.

Dr. White is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology in both Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (Mohs micrographic surgery). Originally from Northeastern Ohio, he obtained his Bachelor's degree in chemistry from Case Western Reserve University, where he graduated with honors. He attended the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and was inducted into the Sigma Sigma Phi medical honor society. Dr. White completed his internship and dermatology residency at the HCA Healthcare/USF Morsani College of Medicine in Florida, where he served as chief resident. He has authored numerous articles in major dermatology journals, conducted research, and presented at national dermatologic conferences. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

Clarissa Gabriel Malafronte is a certified family nurse practitioner through the National Academy of Nurse Practitioners. After graduating from Villanova University in Philadelphia, Pa with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Clarissa began her nursing career working at Tampa General Hospital where she was recognized for her excellence in patient care. Clarissa specialized in ER/Admission, Primary Care, and Neonatal Intensive Care. While working full time at Tampa General Hospital, Clarissa graduated with honors from Simmons College with a Master’s of Science in Nursing. Clarissa is a member of the National Academy of Nurse Practitioners, National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners, and the Florida Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Laura Ramos-Heckman is a licensed and certified dermatology Physician Assistant who recently relocated to the Tampa/St. Petersburg area. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University in Jacksonville, Florida. After completing PA school, she was accepted into a highly selective dermatology fellowship program focused on training advanced practice providers.
