Stop fighting. Start connecting. Couples therapy that works.

Deep, emotionally focused therapy for couples ready to heal.

Welcome to the Colorado Center for Couples and Families

When relationships are strained, life can feel overwhelming. Whether there’s distance, conflict, or betrayal, it’s easy to feel stuck and unsure of what to do next. You may be feeling unappreciated by your partner, caught in the same painful arguments, or struggling with the impact of addiction, infidelity, or sexual issues. Family stress, parenting challenges, and shifting roles can also place a heavy burden on connection and communication.

At the Colorado Center for Couples and Families, we specialize in helping couples and families move beyond surface-level fixes to create meaningful, lasting change. Using a deep, emotionally focused approach to therapy, we help clients uncover the patterns and emotions at the core of their struggles—so they can reconnect, rebuild trust, and grow stronger together.

How we can help

Couples therapy

Whether a couple is stuck in the same argument, feeling distant, or struggling to reconnect, therapy can help break unhealthy patterns, resolve long-standing conflicts, and restore emotional closeness. By addressing the root causes of disconnection—not just the surface issues—couples can build a stronger, more secure relationship grounded in trust, emotional safety, and lasting intimacy.

Infidelity

Affairs can shake the foundation of even the strongest relationships, leaving both partners hurt, confused, and uncertain about the future. Therapy provides a structured, supportive space to process what happened, rebuild trust, and decide how to move forward—whether that means healing together or parting with clarity and compassion.

Relationships

Every relationship has its challenges; whether between partners, family members, or close friends, relationship struggles often stem from emotional disconnection, not just poor communication. Therapy offers a space to slow down, explore the patterns that keep you stuck, and get to the heart of what you truly need from each other. When deeper emotions are seen and shared, relationships don’t just improve—they transform.

Our approach to therapy

At the Colorado Center for Couples and Families, our work is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)—a highly effective, evidence-based approach to improving relationships. EFT helps couples and families identify negative patterns, access deeper emotions, and create secure emotional bonds that support lasting change. Jonathan Zalesne, LPC, is one of the most experienced EFT therapists in the state, and also teaches and supervises other clinicians in the model.

This approach isn’t about quick fixes or surface-level solutions. It’s about creating real transformation by getting to the heart of what’s keeping people disconnected—and helping them find their way back to each other.
