Am really disappointed. I just bought the monthly package and the money was deducted but it won't let me play. Now it won't even let me log in and I can't stop the money being deducted from my bank account.
My partner never even visited their website and doesn't have a clue who this company is. She has no idea how this company has taken 3 lots of money from her account. They need to be taken to the authoroties and shut down!
I found charges to my card that I did not authorize from Adapted Mind- twice in one month. I did not sign up for membership, yet this site took $79.90 in total- in one month. I am not the only one complaining of this also. This is on some level a scam; as these charges are fraudulent. It's disgusting!
We just started and when you choose on a subject, it makes you sit through a 10 minute unrelated cartoon video. Waste of time
I've been getting charged $9.95 every month for 2 years now. Have tried contacting support to cancel and every time I'm told that they have canceled back in 2021. They even tried to tell me that I'm using another email address that's not even mine! I think they made that up because they DO NOT want to cancel! I had to contact my bank and have them cancel and issue a new card. Funny thing is the last email I sent them to cancel they said they would refund me and then charged me again! Crooks! Do not give them your CC information!
It was a great math game my little kid really loved it she loved it so much so can we get it for free cuz I don't know where my password is my husband stole it
This is the only game that he is willing to even sit down and try to do work with just started a day go so well see if I think it's 5 stars so far it got his attention so that's a great for me I'm hoping he finally starts to learn the only thing I hope it stops closing out on us I have to keep clicking back on to the site not sure what that's about
My kids love adapted mind and it's an awesome learning website if this was just based on that i would give 5 stars but it's not.
My problem is I had to transfer money to make a payment when the card declined but it wasn't updating so I called customer service and customer service said they can't use the same card more than once and i have to put a new card on the account.
The customer service rep said they can't recharge the account with the same card which makes no sense to me, if i had to use a different card everytime i had to pay wouldn't they not be able to have the card saved to the account.
Adapted mind needs new customer service employees or find out why they sound like they don't want to be there because they aren't giving good customer service.
The customer service is awful I stayed on the phone agreeing for 1 hour for a manger or supervisor I don't recommend adopted minds to no one
After noticing a charge from this company I called to have the charges refunded. Well they will only refund 3 months ($30) They have been charging me for almost 3 years ( $300+). I know I know I should have been checking..
I find Adapted Mind an excellent educational application for children, including to those for whom English is a second language. However, the price may be too high for the residents of the third world and hope that a special price can be granted to students from the middle and lower income countries. Kids do well with Adapted Mind even though they may grumble about having to do daily practice, seven days a Week. I 🤔 thought that Adaptedminds was a good program. I received a free month, paid for a month and then I let it go for a month. The site was not accessible for the month that I didn't pay. Then they offered a free month if I would provide a new and different account. I provided that and they immediately charged me. I didn't complain. But then they charged me again a few days later. I called to have 1 of the 2 charges removed and she said that they charge for the subscription even if you can't access the site! Ummmmmm how is that legal? I mean I didn't even complain about the bogus email offering a free month. I just wanted 1 of the 2 charges removed. NOPE! She refused and said that she could shut down my account and reimburse me. I told her that she'd better do that then. I will be surprised if they even reimburse me! Deceptive practices and billing for services that they never provided is the name of this game! On top of it, I paid for the super skills class which is an additional charge and they had a handful of lessons and then nothing...day after day of no lessons.
I don't typically leave reviews, and I can't say I've ever actually googled where I can review a product, just to share the positive experience I had with others. Well not before today I haven't. So about 6 weeks ago my 5 year old daughter started nagging me about getting this app. I caved once I saw the free trial they offered. I'll be honest, I knew I was going to cancel my membership before the trial expired regardless how great or terrible the app turned out to be. I'm a single mom living in public housing and am barely making it each month. Hearing my daughter nag about an app that is strictly educational, not the typical building games she played, made it hard to say no. So I signed up for the trial and was honestly shocked at how much the charges would be if I didn't end up canceling. So a day before the trial expired, I cancelled. My daughter was upset but I figured I could find some free options out there if I put a little effort into it. After I submitted the cancellation, a survey popped up asking why I cancelled and what could be better. So I took a few mins and gave my honest response. It seemed like a great app, my kid loves it, it's educational and a far better option than most the popular apps for kids these days, but it's way way WAY outta my budget. $5 a month is way outta my budget at the moment, so what would've been $50+ a month was simply outta the question. Then something happened I never have experienced before. Someone from the company reached out to me, asked me for a little more detail on my responses, and then surprised me with an entire year completely free, with access to all the content they offer. I think it impacted me so much because all I've ever wanted for my two kids is they have a better life and make better, more responsible decisions than I have. For my family, that starts with trying to provide them with the best education I possibly can find for them. This gesture meant so much to me. It also showed me there are still businesses out there not totally consumed by greed. My daughter has been enjoying AdaptedMinds and I have seen her improve little by little. I don't know what so many negative reviews could be about except maybe the cost? I recommend checking it out and judging for yourselves. This is a great app, it's educational, it's fun and if my financial situation improves by time my subscription expires, I'll def feel good about spending the money on this business. Thanks for reading.phew that was longer than I expected haha!
The site is not easy for a child to manage alone. If you are looking for your child to work independently it's not great. My children also became bored using the app compared to other Learning apps.
This is an amazing app for learning math for young kids, it is fun amusing challenging and interactive
Reading the books, the books are not as easy to navigate through for my daughter(8) who has trouble reading, there is no button to read the pages so when she is struggling she gets frustrated with it, so you have to sit with her through it so it's not an independent activity.
For my son (3) pre k the activity is definitely not independent, he himself can not read and the pages and the math was great the first day it was simple things he sees daily, but the second day it was completely different it was asking for the actual words for number and what 3 year old reads actually words the number it self yes he can do that.
Both my kids 4 and 7 are using ADAPTED MINDS. Both of them enjoy it. We're focusing on maths and super skills at the moment, loved the mental health aspect of it especially. Teaching my child to have a growth mindset. Even though they can't do it now, they know they can work their way up to it if they persevere. The website is very engaging for the kids. They love watching the videos, the customisation of their avatar and pets, the store. Can't rate this highly enough. It's made helping my kids with their maths so much more enjoyable compared to DREAD which is what it used to be. THANK YOU for developing the website. I love it and would recommend it to all parents!
Pretty rough interface (click boxes are often missing or poorly aligned), questions are not age appropriate, very repetitive and not very engaging for kids. Gamifying learning is a great idea but you should test your product before trying to charge for it.
I signed up for the free trial to see if my daughter with ADHD would be interested in it. She ended up only seeking out the videos and watching them over and over instead of doing any learning. So I cancelled the account, but then it offers 5 months free whilst saying billing would resume on date that was just a week away? I cancelled anyway, then it says "You are on a Scholarship to AdaptedMind! YAY!" which I assume is supposed to be free, but I still tried to cancel. Then I was charged $76 AUD on 5 June, but the card I signed up with expired at the end of May, which is why I took the risk giving my card details in the first place. How are they able to still charge an expired card?
Unable to cancel subscriptions after several attempts. I happened to notice that they were still charging my credit card months later after I cancelled. When you follow steps by going to your accounts page, then cancel account, you never get an email confirmation. The following day or minutes later upon your return it shows account active again. Is there an ethics board or website to report this company's practice?
