New HDTV DVR box wont recognize their own or any of my USB drives - necessary to record programs. The unit is worthless and I have tried 8 times calling for service, 3 emails, and texting their text number. Absolutely NO RESPONSE from them after 2 weeks of this. DO NOT BUY from them! I believe the positive reviews are a hoax. I saw the negative reviews and figured... yeah, a few people got bad products but I won't. I was definitely wrong. They will not respond to you.

FOLLOW UP to my previous review - AFTER I posted this negative review, the Antennadeals owner contacted me and offered to give me a refund without returning the product ONLY if I removed this negative post. I offered to consider it only after I saw the refund, but for him it was all or nothing - he would do nothing for me until the post was changed or removed. I've seen that he has done this to several others who posted on this site. I reminded him that this is blackmail and not a wise business practice, but the result was that after I resisted taking down my honest summary of my experience, he withdrew the offer and became very uncooperative. He said I must return the item (at $18.00 shipping, which was half the cost of the product in the first place), but based on his other reviews and comments he made to me (called ME a scammer) I was sure he would claim the return never arrived and I would still not get a refund. BOTTOM LINE - This company ONLY responded to me AFTER I posted a negative review. The customer is NOT a priority, and if I never would have posted a negative review, I would not have been contacted at all. Although I'm stuck with a brand new piece of junk, at least there is power in warning others about this owners complete disdain for trying to make things right for buyers who get his defective products. I'm sure there would be many other negative reviews that you won't see as he insists buyers remove them in order to get a refund.

Although trying to reach and interact with customer service was very difficult and discouraging, after posting this review I have learned this owner is 100% committed to satisfied customers. Just before the holidays might have been a busy time trying to keep up with the volumes. They have now been in regular contact with me to properly and satisfactorily remedy this situation. PayPal has blame in creating this fiasco. In spite of this very upsetting situation, their recent effort to remedy will make me willing to place future orders with them. I had placed an online order and immediately discovered an incorrect shipping address was listed after the PayPal transaction completed. I called all the numbers listed on their website at least 10 times over the next several hours. No answer ever. Left messages each time, emailed them as well. Product shipped to someplace other than to me.

Purchased a Lava HD8008 from antennadeals.com on 11/3/19. Once I received the antenna I was informed that I needed the power supply to be within 50 feet of the antenna. Since my antenna is 50 feet high that was not possible. This was not indicated on the antennadeals.com site or in the video for the HD8008. I called Lava support to find this out. I contacted the support people at antennadeals.com to get some help in resolving the issue. Three calls and no one called back. I finally went through the web sight return tab and was able to return the antenna with an RMA supplied by LAVA. The antenna was delivered to antennadeals.com on 11/29/19. No refund has been posted as of 12/16/19 on my account. I placed a call to antennadeals.com support on 12/13/19 with no calls returned. I called again today 11/16/19 and do not have anticipate on getting a call back.

I would not recommend this site to anyone. They may have good products but their support is not worth much. The people I contacted at LAVA were very responsive and did provide some help even though I could not use the HD8008 antenna.

Ordered a small indoor antenna. I arrived in three days. Could not get it to work properly. Made six phone calls for technical support. No one ever returned the calls. Requested a return and they granted it saying in their letter to return it to lava electronics in Ontario California. I sent it there and they claimed I was supposed to send it to Texas. The letter clearly states to send it to Ontario California. Still waiting on a refund. I call antennadeals and no one returns calls. You can only leave a message in an automated system sends you a text message. I even responded to the text message and heard nothing back. Horrible company to deal with. They are tied into lava electronics in Ontario California, but live electronics won't claim any responsibility for what antennadeals does. It seems to be a game they are playing. They are expecting people will get tired of pursuing them. Highly recommend not purchasing anything from them.

I had this antenna mounted about 30 ft above the ground. Live about 45 miles north of Indy in a low area with tall trees to the south. Indy channels are GREAT and to my surprise, with the antenna pointing south, I also pick up South Bend and Fort Wayne stations which are the other direction and farther away. So my initial response is very positive. Longterm? The plastic body seems kind of flimsy to withstand very cold Indiana winters and blistering Indiana Sun during the summer. We shall see.

I am remolding my bathroom so the vanity is in the family room. I took the antenna out of the box assembled it in 5 minutes or so. Placed the mounting pole into the drain hole on the vanity sink, ran cable to box, plugged box in, tested motor -- rotated 360 worked terrifically. And finally re scanned my TV to 59 crystal clear channels, mind you it was still sitting in the sink. Purchased another antenna last month and could not get channels in no matter what part of the house I moved that antenna to. The Antenna Deals, is the real deal and great value, as well as very easy to set up and test. It does not get any easier than this. 2 Thumbs up.

The antenna was easy to assemble and mount. The only challenge I had was getting the vertical orientation of the antenna stabilized and "locked". I had to really tighten the bolt. Once I got the system connected, the antenna oriented for best reception, and ran the channel setup for antenna reception, I suddenly had 58 new channels in really nice HD. Most of the stations were within 65 miles. A couple were about 85 miles away. Remained firm in wind gusts to 60 mph. I am pleased with his product. It does what I needed it to do.

First, I want to say thank you, item packed well, so it was received in good condition. Instructions were clear, all pieces needed were included. It was easy to assemble and install. This antenna captured 37 channels with consistent connection, unlike the inside antenna from another manufacturer only picked up 2 consistently. Thank You for developing this. I have already recommended this to a friend, would recommend to anyone. I understand the reasons it might not work the same for all locations, but for me it worked out much better than I expected.

This is a great product! First, it arrived in pristine condition, very well-packaged to prevent damage. The antenna is solidly built and the installation instructions were complete and easy to follow. After installation, I scanned for channels, picking up 31 channels, approximately 55 miles from downtown Washington, DC. All the major networks received in 1080 HD and many secondary channels in 720 or 480. And that's without any fine-tuning of the antenna's direction - I simply pointed the antenna east in the general direction of Washington. I suspect I'll either pick up a few more or the same in better definition. Customer service is also extremely responsive.

Purchased this for use at a remote hunting camp in the north wood. Was receiving some stations using a window antenna with amplifier, but very inconsistent. This antenna worked immediately with easy installation as advertised. Has held the signal, and increased our stations input to all 12 stations available in our area. I broke off a fitting in error, during installation, and after emailing the people supplying this( Antenna Deals), received an immediate response and problem solved by their efficient replacement at no cost to me. Cannot say enough good things about the great price, the product and the customer care team. Excellent!

So easy to install, I'm a 71 year old female and I can say that. Instructions were really easy to follow and understand. It came very well packaged and in good condition. I'm very happy with it. I had some problems that their service department went well over and beyond being helpful in getting resolved. (It was an issue I had at my house and not with the antenna.) I would recommend this antenna to anyone wanting to cut the cable.

I live in an area with lots of hills and typically poor broadcast reception. I thought I would give this a try after doing some research on reception in my area. I have lived in this house for 3 generations so I know the history of over the air broadcast. They are poor. I temporarily installed this close to the area it was going to be in and boy was I amazed. It worked great. I can rotate it to any location and rescan. Presto more stations. It comes complete and ready to go.
I liked it so much that I bought another one for another building and it also works perfect. What more can you ask for. It works and it will run 2 tv's. Perfect.

I had one of those flat HD antennas and it caused many channels to be pixelated despite aiming it towards the strongest heading. So, I decided to try this one. The first inside attic location was not a good position. Before trying to move it outside, I instead positioned it very high on a wood beam with no direct interference. WOW! What a difference. I now get so many channels in HD with no pixelation! I aimed it at the strongest signals and even getting some at other headings. It really works. I am so pleased... that's why I decided to write this review.

We love our antenna! We had been using indoor room antennas for years. We moved to the beach in Florida and got horrible reception about 9 channels on our indoor antennas. We decided to try an outdoor antenna on the roof, and I'm glad I did. We get 61 channels now! The picture is clear. It was super easy to put together and install. We were missing one of the directionals. I emailed them on a Saturday afternoon. They emailed me back quickly, and had the replacement by Tuesday. I debated on whether to take part of a star because of the missing part. I decided no because, they quickly resolved the problem. It did delay the install, but so would weather, no worries. The antenna itself is awesome! It has everything included insead of paying more and having to buy each piece individually. We love Antenna Deals!

Frustration and anger at what I perceived as poor customer service led to my original review of this company.
I need to give them their due since they did the right thing and refunded me for the antenna. I am returning the antenna to them since it was a good antenna but simply did not work adequately for me but may work for someone else,
I always try to buy from American companies which is why I purchased from them in the first place. Hopefully they will work on improving their Customer Service so that they can become an exemplary company.
