Avvo will not allow sincere reviews of bad lawyers, thus misleading the people considering to hire legal help.

Protects lawyers. Won't post bad reviews. I gave them state bar grievance and won't post. Screens my calls now. I call from a different number and then they answer

I'm relieved I'm not the only person with a bad Avvo experience. Avvo won't allow me to post a negative review to warn others.

Assistant Attorney General Kaelen Brodie represented the state during a January 2022 hearing. When filing a false emergency motion, Mr. Brodie intentionally misquoted a witness's testimony. Mr. Brodie argued state laws forced a court to accept knowingly false evidence into the record.

Mr. Brodie coordinated false testimonies among his witnesses. All changed their versions of events between hearings to the same or similar questions.

Mr. Brodie also shared confidential information between attorneys with his witnesses before the hearing began. That's not only unethical behavior; it's illegal.

Unfortunately, Washington state residents may never know of Kaelen Brodie's corruption.

My last message to Avvo:

As a veteran with multiple honors, and someone who has served his Country in numerous ways for decades, your organization is part of the problem in this Country.

Since you won't stand up for what's right, I won't be wasting anymore time on you. There's other places I can leave reviews about the attorney's behavior. I will also leave reviews about your lack of help and behavior. SHAMEFUL!

Many people are beginning to figure out that AVVO is not a trustworthy website for posting reviews.this is just 1 of many comments warning consumers about AVVO. It would be one thing for AVVO to post NO reviews. But to post ONLY positive reviews while refusing to post fact based negative reviews is very dishonest

Attorney marketing is a complete rip off. Their sales staff promise leads and acts very optimistic when convincing you to sign on. I have received ZERO leads since signing a six month contract that they refuse to cancel.

I've had two different bad attorneys and they refuse to allow me to speak the truth. They only allow good ratings, so don't trust them.

Avvo denies ALL real, validated, with evidence, reviews. It's only purpose is to promote.

Honest review platforms permits the good & the bad (especially when evidence is provided) so the consumer does not get scammed by the lying lawyers who shouldn't be lawyers!

Ask AVVO a difficult question and they just delete it.they have zero purpose.its how/where less desirable ambulance chasers telemarket

They make every excuse to delete a review that you make on a bad attorney. The attorney pays a fee. Therefore they don't want you to share your true experiences with another. I told them I will provide them with videos, and evidence what I went through with unprofessional attorney. Please don't depend on any reviews for attorneys, they will found every reason to not post the review. Now if you're saying something nice it goes through. I follow all their guidelines they find every excuse not to post the review, you're better off using goggle not this site here. I don't want anyone to go through what I went through with the attorney I hired. They kept denying ever review the one they approved it was deleted in few days.

There are truly No Words to express how my Attorney Jerry Bodow has been a true blessing in my life. Jerry an his staff have been family to me and have looked out for me throughout a 7+ year case. They have worked tirelessly hard for me and my family. The support, friendship and love they have shown words can't describe enough. Jerry I am blessed to have you as my attorney and friend. AVVO is filled with fake reviews posted by attorneys and their staff and friends. The only reals reviews are the ones where people write about their horrible experiences after hiring one of the shysters but AVVO frequently removes those or edits them. AVVO should be removed from the internet. How are they different then any other consumer fraud? One way to see if some reviews are fake is to check the court docs. For example in NYS you can go to https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/HomePage, and click search as a guest. Put the attorneys name in and you get a list of their cases. If the review has a name (although the majority of the fake reviews are anonymous) you can see if the attorney actually represented them. Every name but one that I randomly checked was a fake review.

AVVO is a horrible site deceiving innocent people searching for lawyers. I was deceived by their 5 stars rating on a horrible lawyer. Hired that lawyer and I was destroyed and ripped off. When I tried to review that lawyer, Avvo denied my reviews 3 times. They have pre filled the questions at the best rating. That is AVVO.

I last put a review why this 5 stars has only A few ratings over 20 years?
Shame on AVVO for creating a platform or managing a platform to protect liars and crooks.

THEIR REVIEWS ARE ONLY LIES! I hired an attorney following these website reviews and it was a terrible mistake! Now I'm trying to review this attorney with them and noticed that the people purchase their GOOD REVIEWS! IT DOESNT ALLOW ME TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT OR WRITE A REVIEW.

Avvo approves reviews and then denies and pulls the same reviews citing very little if no reason for doing so. I have witnessed this first hand as they could care less about clients who need good attorneys. Avvo does take sides and is being reported to the BBB.

I hired the attorney and paid on behalf of my son. What is the problem with the review, this is my personal experience, and I signed the contract with Peter Wosnik. How can my experience with the attorney not be appropriate and personal.

There is a point when you can pay the attorney what is asked, but they don't have to provide you with an informed and helpful defense as what was the case for my family. Not all attorneys are defensive or fighters. This attorney proved to be just that, and I could not in good conscience recommend this person as a defense attorney; not if you expect sound advice. He is not to be trusted. I found the way this attorney worked to be more underhanded and should have tried the public defender system. (Or found a knowledgeable attorney that has the respect of the court to fight and not secretly agree with the DA. In retrospect, I made a crucial error in hiring Wosnik.

That is the truth and facts from my point of view.

I posted a question about changing the lease of a property from one landlord to another landlord. I did not indicate that I am having a hard time or that I am very unhappy with the existing lease that I have inherited from one landlord. As a matter of fact I was just asking if I could change the lease to my own.

Many of the lawyers think that I am in a bad or awful situation. Many of them said that's why I should retain an attorney. Someone said now I am stuck (but I am not!), now that I am in a miserable situation.

Some of them are saying I am pinching pennies and condescendingly said being a landlord for 10 years I should already know that I have to have a lawyer.

Being there expecting some good kind advice instead I get all these insults and reprimands. The whole thing had turned into a drama. So I quit.

Low quality website that doesn't allow honest negative reviews about lawyers. Their goal is to get lawyers to pay them so that negative reviews are being taken down. Don't trust their ratings

Avvo Reviews are fake, all good reviews are written by the attorneys itself read those reviews carefully you will see yourself, that the attorney have written their own review praising themselves try testing avvo by posting a bad review, watch that review will never apprear it will immediately get disqualified, avvo is juts a martketing tool for these corrupt attorneys who are starving for business and making money by cheating innocent people

Two highly rated Avvo Attorney's, one allowed himself to be retained by a legal entity with whom I have an adversarial relationship, refusing to return legal documents he acknowledges I dropped off,. Citing himself as "believing"them as belonging to his client
A second. Whom I later retained to take action against this same adversarial legal opponent, panicked me into signing a stipulation releasing my opponent from liability (I recorded him stating this NOT to be the case), requiring me to furnish this same adversary with details of overseas employment and living arrangements (!) whereupon I rescinded his retainer
In spite of this. He is is filing OSC to remove his firm from the case without my consent (though I had already terminated contract), referencing my "chaotic mood swings", a tacit testament to a psychiatric disorder (Bipolar Disorder) with which I am NOT currently diagnosed
