Bunq, not worth joining. Not following GDPR regulations

I have tried to open an account and for some reason it didn't work out. I then asked to delete all my data (according to GDPR).
Until this point I was polite.

A few weeks later I got a reminder that it was not possible for them to deduct the fee.
What fee?! I requested to delete my data and never be contacted again.
Again, now demanding, asked to delete my account including data according to GDPR regulations.

So today, September 18th, 2022, I received a survey where the only 2 questions were about if I was aware that they couldn't deduct my fee!
Again! What fee!? I never had an account as every time I tried my ID was denied, and therefore I requested to delete my account. Including my data.

Don't use them. Even when the onboarding fails they want to get your money. The GDPR rules aren't being followed and that should say everything!

The card is really nice with rainbow colour, also it's really not hard to use the app. Very easy UI, so I think they did a good job there.

It's easy to pay with iDeal and also I can use it both on the phone and on the web. Convenient and quite unlike other online banks that I have used before.

What's the best plan for me if I want to save some money, but I don't use cards a lot?

Answer: I am not sure, perhaps you can try Easy Savings. This plan earns some interest. Also you can still use it to pay for some services using your mobile app.

Why do i need multiple IBANS?

Answer: Oh, that's easy, when you have multiple IBANs, you get an opportunity to make international transfers without paying any imposed fees. It's a super useful feature for those who admire travelling and can't sit at one place. Hence, advise you to think on Easy money or easy green plan, as far as I know they have the maximum possible number of local IBANs.

Answer: Guck mal, soweit ich mich erinnere, gibt es Cashback bei den Easy Green- und Easy Money-Tarifen. Das gilt für Restaurants. Cashback im öffentlichen Verkehr ist etwas mehr, aber es gibt es nur bei Easy Green. Du hast nach Beschränkungen gefragt. Soweit ich weiß, gibt es keine Begrenzung.

Which plan is more suitable for students?

Answer: I can make few assumptions. But if I'm wrong, please forgive me. I imagine that students besides studying and paying for daily necessities travel a lot. At least it seems to me that this is the most appropriate time for that. So the plan that you think can provide you with all necessary things for traveling is the most suitable for you.

Have you ever had to use the insurance coverage they claim about on the site?

Answer: No, man, for God's sake! I have never had to use the insurance coverage provide by their regulating entity or how it is called, and I wish you the same. To be sincere, the bank are really interested in protecting customers' money and private data and it embedded a lot of modern protection measures, that is why I can say that it's even impossible to imagine that someone loses his money or someone has stolen this money from other clients. I bets it reacts quick to prevent such situations.

Answer: As far as I know you can use any ATM for withdrawal of money. The only thing that you have to pay attention to is the number of free withdrawals per month for your plan.

Any advice on the best way to use the 30 day free trial?

Answer: Um, I think you should remember what your plans are for the next 30 days. Maybe you have trip planned or you need to make some kind of money transfer. I recommend that you choose plan based on that and make the most of it. Or you can just open most expensive one and use its advantages within 30 days. But there's chance you'll like it and want to buy full subscription.

Answer: Mostly, it is for residents of the EU. The Bank operates in some countries outside of the EU, and you can look at the list of the countries on the website ;)

Hey, buddies! I was curious, I want to get involved in bunq but I am not sure about whether I should order a physical card or not, any ideas?

Answer: Whatever you wish, buddy. As many other clients, I also ordered a physical card cuz my chosen plan allowed it, but I quickly understood that I could get by without it. If you just want to experience feeling of possessing it, then order for sure. But, as I said, this option is available only for 3 plans out of 4. Savings isn't included.

I am curious to know if they intend to broaden their service offerings to the United States market?

Answer: I guess so, they have a lot of fintech, online banks, and thats not makaing any sense if there is no bunq! I am betting they will!
