Which store has greeters who ask you what they can help you find? Which store has helpful staff throughout the store to assist you? Which store pays for your parking? Which store does not sell guns? Which store does not make you prove that you haven't stolen the item before you leave the store?

My son purchased a tire warranty on new tires which is good for 6yrs. Our one tire is almost bald and there so called experienced manager comes out and started yelling at me, I'm his mother. I pointed and said this is the number of my son that bought them, then gets on the phone and started yelling at him. This so called Bob that is the so called manager of service really needs to be taken down a notch and should have nothing to do with the public. I will say that the issue is not over as my son said, nobody deserves to be talked to like that.

Unreliable
May 4, 2022

I ordered tires on line and on the day they were to be available for pick up I got an email cancelling my order. I tried again, using a different store. What was confusing was that it said there were 6 tires at the store, yet when I went to the store they said the tires were coming from Montreal, on another day they told me they were coming from Ontario. The authorized amount showed on my credit card and the day they were to arrive the credit card authorization was cancelled. I called the store and that's when they said tires were coming from Ontario. I called 1-866 number to get some help, and they offered to call the store to find out where the tires were.
The day after expected delivery I cancelled the order. If it wasn't Canadian Tire, I would say this is all a sham, and someone out to get my credit card info.

CRAPPY TIRE
May 3, 2022

I will never buy another thing from Crappy tire. I had tires mounted by crappy tire and I had to go some where else to get them redone. Never balanced the tires. There mechanics are a bunch of kids with a head mechanic certified so they are not very good. Also bought back my battery for a core refund but they wouldn't do anything even though it still had the motomaster stickers all over it. Horrible service. Never again.

Recently My family moved to Canada from states - I was told to register our car in the port of entry if our stay extends more than 6 months.
We got safety certificate from usa before porting the ve hicle however social service office said certificate from Canada is necessary.
When We went to this Canadian tires(@wonderland road, London) we were said day light needs to be installed to our car as per Ontario standards.
We made appointment and got it fixed. When We got car after fixing we notified display screen is not visible (working but not visible) in any mode but lights on(Auto) mode.
When We asked about the issue with the engineer he said he has not seen such kind of issue before and they don't have some flash system to check the display.
When we said it's their responsibility to take the issue for consideration we got response stating "I am ready to revert the work done and take back the car"

We ended up paying around $1000 and spend around 8 hours waiting (2days fixing up other issues - attaching photocopy) to get this kind of service for the customer.

Is Customer satisfaction not an important factor for Canadian tires? Or is this kind of engineers ruin reputation of the big concern?

Can we take this legal? Or is this something we need to go dump and spend extra amount to fix the light again?

I've ordered a bunch of fishing stuff and half of my items were cancelled due to not being in stock? So i checked on the item and it says it's in stock the *****? They clearly stole my money for one and 2 the item was in stock so what the hell? I would stay far away from this site and i would rather go in the store and buy it. Online shopping on here is a joke and they're a bunch of thefts i have no words about this site i've wasted 30$ for nothing i wont be shopping online here again.

Bought tires and rims, installed 18 months ago, Shawn the Service Manager said He would include seasonal tire swap outs at no charge. Good deal, bought the wheels, first swap out no problem, "Shawn is no longer there, swap out last fall the new service manager indicates on the service order that the deal is nul and void. I called corporate customer service, no help unless I show a written contract. Store manager in Kenora argues that there is no company policy, Shawn overreached himself, he is not responsible for his service managers promises. Manager lost his cool during the phone call, refused to acknowledge any responsibility and hung up mid conversation. A note on the work order saying Warranty code T1 see service manager for details is not enough proof for this guy even though the current service manager said she new "Shawn" has made this deal. Be aware, get it in writing and don't expect a fair deal at the Kenora Canadian Tire Store.

Their Master Card finance department will bring a problem literally decades old when reducing your credit line after borrowing and successfully repaying hundreds of thousands of dollars since then. Just when I counted on and needed them most they halved my credit line every 3 months after a use it or lose it letter. I would up using the other cards that I needed as a cumulative large amount, thank goodness, and they lost huge interest for that 14 months.

They also cap the amount of cash to 50% of your credit limit as they want you to buy product. Its like Costco credit card scam that only gives you 500 limit then cancels your card if you do not renew membership claiming it is in the fine print- like anyone reads the pages of fine print requiring a lawyer and a magnifying glass.

I went to repair my tire. And they told me that I need to change my filters. I had no idea about the price. So they over charged me for a filter and just a spray. It was supposed to be 30$ max but they charged me 100$. I am really disappointed in Canadian tire. They just scammed people. I just want to tell everyone that never go to Canadian tire repair shop. It will come very cheaper if u do it by yourself or do it in another workshop.

Tried to return extra Sodastream canisters accumulated during Covid. During Covid, returning cannisters wasn't allowed. Still charged deposit of ~ $15 for each of these.

Policy now is to only give back $1 for extra canisters as I had apparently missed the return window of June 2021 (not sure how long this went on.)

I am out of pocket $45 dollars for 3 extra cannisters. Spoke to the young manager who repeated what the supervisor said, that "it is their policy" and that he nor anyone else can do anything about this. Acknowledged that just because it is their policy that it may not be right. Didn't offer and refused any alternative options, eg. Store credit. I told him that we spend way more than that each week on average at Canadian tire. He didn't seem to care, nor did he seem to care when I told him I am not going into their store to look at shelving and I will be shopping elsewhere as much as possible.

They really do need to spend billions on "improving the customer experience."

I'm a Disabled Senior (64)Veteran, living on$16,250 dollars a year. I am presently homeless living in an unheated E350 Ford Econoline van. I had some badly needed work done on said van 2 days ago to the tune of $2623. 67. Upon reviewing My sales slip I found a hidden charge of $67.96 for a six year tire warranty and a $71.04 charge for SHOP SUPPLIES.
The shop charges $129.00; s per hour, mechanics get around 30-40 dollars and hour... The Dealership marks up parts used at 30-40%... so why should the customer be responsible for "coveralls worn by the employees, paper towels to wash their hands and saw blades, to cut of the old shocks on My vehicle( that was the explanation provide for Me)
I complained to the service manager and he scoffed at Me. He did refund the tire warranty, explaining it was a "mistake" (sic) but refused to refund the "shop supplies". Cost. I was also charged $120.00 for wheel balancing for the new tires that I purchased and upon doing a road test, that service wasn't performed correctly and the steering wheel jumped out of My hands at 110-120klms per hour. The New LED head lights I purchased for $129.00's short circuited My dash lights and needed to be replaced the next day with the RIGHT ones (with a partial refund)
I left very angry and refused to do further work with their shop to replace a leaking power steering pump. I then tracked down an assistant manager of the store to bring this issue to his attention and he took My name and number and has yet to call Me back. This morning I called HEAD OFFICE in Toronto... and they told Me to wait 3 business days for a reply AFTER I promised to start writing feed back reviews like THIS one... obviously showing their level of caring, deserves a poor review rating. I am "old School" with very minimal computer knowledge or skills and I'm NOT able to download My receipts... I still use a flip phone and I'm typing this remotely using a private signal outside a business. I can provide a picture of Me next to My van. Thankyou

Worst customer service
February 7, 2022

I've had it with canadian tire. I will never shop here again. First time leaving feedback but definitely not the first time I received very poor customer service. FYI not a good idea to insinuate your customers may not have paid for items.
