I totally wasted my time and money; it was snowy so I thought the flight would be cancelled so I called UA customer service. They said the flight would be cancelled so I called cheapoair customer service and it took me 2 hours to get connected! Then the customer service person said that their system shows that flight is not cancelled so I can go to the airport and check in. I went to the airport and the flight was cancelled. I called them to rebook but they still they the same thing! I am telling you people if your flight is cancelled or delayed, their system will show nothing and they will tell you to go to the airport and check in. DO NOT EVER USE CHEAPOAIR IF YOU WANT TO SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
Long story short, bought international flights from this site and 2 out of the 3 tickets DID NOT WORK. Airline said the seats were booked but NOT PAID FOR. Called and chatted with Cheapoair representatives who were not helpful at all and barely spoke English, had to purchase new tickets that were way more expensive than if purchased earlier. MONTHS after speaking to Cheapoair's higher up problem resolution agent and being promised a refund, I have received nothing. I will pursue further action and report this to every possible outlet as well as call my credit card company to try to reverse the payment. I'm sure there are times when things don't go wrong with this website but I will absolutely not take the chances after this experience. Their customer service is the WORST I've ever experienced in my life.
I stumbled upon the cheapOair app and found that they had the cheapest direct flights so I purchased the ticket immediately.
After reading all the negative reviews and comments online about cheapOair I panicked and got really anxious about the possibility that I may have just lost $450 or about to go through a really bad experience.
So as soon I got the confirmation email from cheapOair with the eTicket number, I immediately called the airline directly and confirmed with them that the eTicket number is legitimate and is showing up in their booking system.
I also got the airline to assign the window seat that I like and got them to email me the confirmed itinerary and copy of the receipt.
So now I have an email directly from the airline with my confirmed flight, itinerary, seat allocation, and eTicket receipt.
With that I'm hoping that cheapOair will not be able to cancel/change my flight without my knowledge/consent.
All in all it hasn't been a bad experience so far...
BAIT AND SWITCH! Wow, what a bad experience. I didn't get a confirmation after entering all my info including credit card number. So I called in and talked to someone I could barely understand. I found out that the flights I selected are sold out and if I want to fly out on the dates when I took off work for vacation, the price jumped over $150. To be fair, I tried to choose another flight and got the same thing. The price suddenly jumped between $150-$250. STAY AWAY! This is a scam. I'm sorry they now have my credit card number. I'm considering calling again to see if my information stayed in their system. I've been checking my account to make sure they won't suddenly charge me. This is a concern that I didn't think I'd have to deal with from a travel site. If I thought I could speak to someone in customer service that I could understand, I would call and raise Hell. Of course this company outsources their customer service staff. Only crap companies like this go the cheap route. Obviously, they don't care about their customers since they don't put much effort into being a legitimate business. They did tell me that I could get a cheaper flight for a little over what I had tried to book in the first place - when I can't go! Duh, I took time off. It's not like I can just switch it because this website sucks.
Beware, stay away. Thru cheepo air I booked air travel to see my dying friend who got sicker much too quick, so we had to move our travel plans up by two weeks. Booked the second trip travel thru cheepo air also Cheepo air refused to credit or make the change even with with an added fee. Their offer was that my travel friend could receive a dollar for dollar credit tobeusedwithinone year with an added charge of $200. Such a credit not available to me due to a different spelling of my name cheepo air account. (My friend booked the travel and used an abbreviation of my first name. So we paid $800. TwiceTo travel to see a friend at the end of her life. No exceptions, no appeal. Book thru the airline sites. They are courteous and have policies for this kind of sad event.
I will never use cheapoair again. They hands down have the worst customer service I have ever received. I am an active duty Army officer and had to switch a flight due to a change in our command leave schedule. And while I was willing to pay the ticket change fee and rebook a flight, it was the most grueling process to endure. They supposedly take down your number incase you get disconnected but failed to call me back after hanging up on me 3 different times. It is also next to impossible to call this "business" and be on the phone for less than an hour. Over my 5 calls I easily spent more than two hours on hold for them to give me BS responses and ask me for repetitive information. Never again.
Their customer service is alright 7 day-24 hours support, however they lure you to book with them at a really low price, then they might tell you your payment didn't went through and the tickets became almost double the original price, they tried to come up with alternative airlines that can offer low price, I refused the offer o I had to rebook with other airlines/travel agents. After this happened I think it is a scam. If they cannot offer the price on their website, they are liars.
This airline agent is the worst scam I have ever encountered. I was looking to make an international flight to Africa for the holidays so I decided to look around to see if I could get something cheaper. Long story cut short, I found a flight for $1700 and decided to get it since other agents/airlines had prices well above $2500. As I was filling out my information to purchase this ticket suddenly when I clicked next the price changed from $1700 to $6900. I couldn't believe it and immediately did not proceed to complete the transaction. To my surprise again, cheapoair sent me a confirmation email for my trip stating that my account was charged $6900. When I called cheapoair customer service, they transferred me to a different department and kept me on hold like forever. They repeated this even after like five calls. I was glad I used my credit card so I decided to call my credit card company and report the transaction from cheapoair as fraudulent. My card company canceled the transactions, closed my account and sent me a new card.
Overall my experience with chaepoair was a disaster, they DO NOT deserve any star at all. PLEASE do not use cheapoair, they are FRAUDSTERS

To be quite honest my hubby and I waited so late to book our flight to Seattle from Barbados, that by the time we were ready to book the flight, the prices had skyrocketed.
The cheapest fare we came across was on cheapoair.com, I did read the reviews and to be honest most weren't very flattering, but what the hell it was cheaper than everyone else, I chose to give it a try, first flight AA early morning flight out of Barbados to Miami, then AA to NY, Frontier Airline to Seattle with a stop in Denver, it was long but I was with my husband so who cares.
We had a wonderful experience, as for the seating as I decided not to go directly to the airlines websites to do it, and well seating was interesting to say the least, but we still got to sit together, even though frontier airlines was full single traveling passengers didn't have any problem exchanging with me, best part was I did read the fine print.So I did reconfirm our booking online when it was time to return home and cheapoair did send me a reminder email the day before we started our vacation.
I will definitely be using be using this company again.

I booked (2) Tickets on August 23,2013. I was assured seats would be assigned - and all but one was assigned within the week. I just checked to find all the seat assignments except 2 (out of 12 needed) had dissappeared.
I call CheapOair - and they basically told me - too bad call the airlines (United, US Air, & American), we can't help you. So after 2 hours on the phone with (3) airlines at a cost of $450 - I finally received seat assignments.
Based on that experience - I would tell you to RUN AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY as possible. Thet fail at customer service.
I booked a return flight on august 23,2013 for me to return to the states on may 1st 2014. I asked to change my return date on september 29 2013 and i was told there would be a 275 dollar fee. Ridiculous fine.
I don't understand why this website got so many bad ratings. I have the best experience finding the cheapest tickets and the customer service phone line was the best i ever experienced in my life. Sad that you can't connect to the same customer service rep because they don't have their own extension line. But let me tell you if you get an Indian guy name Basco, you are going to have the kindest customer service ever. He literally saved my life and he doesn't even know it! I was stuck in a different country while traveling and lost my passport couldn't make it to my flight and was running out of money. He did some kind of magic cause he persuaded his boss to cut my new fare literally in half. God he is an angel. Hope good karma is in store for him and his family!
My friend and I were trying to arrange a flight for her via the website. We have several complaints (so far) about the booking and the service.
1. The website let her select her flight, which seemed fantastic, but after she filled in her credit card info it proceeded to tell her the flight was suddenly sold out and she should try this alternative, slightly more expensive option. She tried 5 or 6 times, but it kept happening. To say the least, this was a huge red flag!
2. When she had finally given up on CheapoAir, she was starting to look on other sites, when suddenly, someone CALLED her from CheapoAir - HUH!? They said they noticed she was trying to book something, and tried to suggest a different flight, more than $400 more expensive then her original plan. After about 2hrs on the phone (mostly on hole), they finally found her a ticket, $100 more expensive than her original plan, but she decided to go for it.
3. When she received the email confirmation, her name was spelt wrong! She called the agent back and mentioned the mistake, which the agent had already made when they were on the phone the first time - and she had told the agent it needed to be corrected. She informed my friend that she needed to pay $100 to have the name fixed -EVEN THOUGH THE MISTAKE WAS BY THE AGENT AND SHE HAD CORRECTED IT ONCE BEFORE WITH THE AGENT WHEN MAKING THE BOOKING! Needless to say the agent finally changed it at no cost and it was fixed, but it was a huge hassle and required another 45min call.
4. Even after booking, when she looks at her confirmation now it shows the flights are not confirmed and the price could still be raised - which is ridiculous!
I would highly recommend NEVER BOOKING with Cheapoair- it has scam and rip off written ALL over it. I hope everything works out for my friend but we both agree neither of us will ever book with them again - horrible experience!
Because of the number of complaints, I decided to call to confirm the price rather than book online.
The online price was $713. When I called, the operator confirmed the price and started taking details. Then, about halfway though, she stated that a price increase had come through... the new price would be $839! [... which was $14 more than Expedia].
So I suggested a different day. Again she confirmed the $713 price I saw online. But again, a sudden price increase!
Coincidence? I think not. It seems they may use low-ball internet price quotes to suck people in.

I tired to book airfare, hotel and car through cheapoair.com. My mastercard bank would not accept anything cheapoair tried to put through but kept rejecting the charges. Cheapoair called me about it and, after talking to the bank, I told them my bank would not do business with them (Bank of America - Shopsafe). Since that time they have bombarded my mastercard account with attemped charges. The bank finally issued a fraud alert on my account and closed it out. They are go to re-issure a new card... but what a mess all caused by Cheapoair. My advice DO NOT EVEN TRY TO BOOK ANYTHING THROUGH THEM.
Over an hour on hold on the day of the flight for a flight American airline would not to the full check in due to cheapoair booking in wrong not allowing enough time to transfer bags between connecting airplanes. An hour and ten minutes and still on hold. This is crazy!
Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
