I reported this right from the beginning of my subscription and it still is not fixed a year later. Videos and ads are constantly cutting out, making it too frustrating to watch a video, I pay for this streaming channel and the ID channel is the only reason I did. I see new episodes of shows on the ID channel on YouTube which is free, and none of those episodes are on Discovery plus, which I pay for. It's a ripoff. Plus, I pay almost $80 for my Internet.

What makes television personnel think that all that loud and unnecessary backoground noise makes programming more interesting. I am very interested in the programming, but cannot tolerate the loud banging, music, and other noises. I can't even hear what is being said. Discovery Channel you are losing a devoted watcher. You need to change your presentation because I know you are rapidly losing viewers. Just had a thought. I would think any scientist, woodsman expert, etc. would detest the stupid booms and other distracting sounds. They need to complain to programming.

Aggravated!

I have three little ones. We loved,
(LOVED)(past tense!) watching Discovery!
But then, the nasty, propagative, sexual comerciales come on! ("Naked & Afraid" being one of the Worst ones!) And my children get uncomfortable and ask a million and one questions! They just get flat out GROSSED OUT! I don't think you should have the stupid advertisement for all those shows, like you do. Save those kinds of things for better timing, or maybe an Adult Chanel!?! It's bull trying to have a family evening and naked people pop up, literally almost every single comercial!
I'm not the only person who feels this way. And honestly, it's a huge reason you're losing viewers!

The Repair Shop

Some months ago I happened upon a show I had never seen. I have watched about 20 episodes and hope to see every one that they made. It is an English show about a group of repair artisans that accomplish the most amazing transformations of wonderful old, broken things that have fabulous and meaningful memories. If Discovery would let the audience know about the show I believe it would have a very large following. It has been running at 4:30 4 or 5 days a week for a few weeks. Now it has disappeared. This is a great, uplifting show that needs to be shown often. It's called The Repair Shop

I pay for cable with Discovery and HGTV already, but in order to watch all the shows I like on those channels I have to pay $4.99 a month for Discovery plus, and now they have adds every few mins! I'm going to cancel my subscription! Super disrespectful for their customers

I had not watched gold rush in quite some time. I switched to Discovery to see what was on and Gold Rush was on with the Hoffman's back digging for gold. It was great! I mean that sincerely watching these guys fumble around was better than the three stooges, Laurel and hardy, seinfeld, keystone cops. And I mean it with an enduring quality please keep these guys on it is awesome.

Unfortunately I paid for a year, even though it was really cheap, it's not worth rhe constant headache. If you're lucky, it will only freeze on you twice during one episode. Started off it would freeze and you would have to go back to the main menu and click on the episode you were on to resume. Then a few months ago it started to freeze a few seconds before the ads were done (there is a countdown timer in the corner), so you go back and and do the resume thing and guess what, have to watch the ads all over again... make more money that way, right? Now, as of a few days ago some times when it freezes you can't resume. It is just stuck in that episode wherever it froze and nothing fixes it.
Mind you, nothing that they will say is the issue (which will all be on our end) is the actual issue
I have other apps on the same and other devices and everything works fine except Discovery Plus on all of them. I have high speed internet that never buffers and always clear cache and etc. It's irritating that the issues just keep adding up and getting worse.

For a Space enthusiast, Discovery Science has been a blessing. With the rate at which new discoveries are evolving, the daily diet of the programme is just about adequate. Thnnarrator Morgan Freeman was outstanding. However he has been missing and his substitute is not a patch on him. Some of the scientists like Hakim are too dramatic.

Discovery Channel and discovery plus is no longer safe for families, especially children. Discovery now has a pornography series called Naked and Afraid with love which shows naked people having sex. This is pornography. They advertise this even on their channel with images of it. Do not get discovery plus if you are looking for family safe content.

Tired of the lagging freezing having to restart constantly. Then you contact them and they tell you its your internet speed. I have 3 different wifi connections all are high speed and have no other issues but discovery plus. Bad customer service and crappy app. Isn't worth the money and the crappy service making me feel like i don't know how to run my apps. Only reason i gave it one star was cause it wouldn't let me not have no stars.

After weeks of wasting my time because I had to write lengthy responses for THEIR app issues, them forcing me to download iPhone updates so it "fixes the problem" (it only made things worse) then saying they'll update me because their "engineering team" is fixing it (that was also a lie), they only NOW told me they don't support my Apple TV device. Why did this take almost a month? They won't even tell me why this took so long and keep avoiding all my questions about their horrible lack of accountability, inconsistency and unreliability.

Their support team didn't know what to do half the time and would send me support instructions that had nothing to do with the devices I own. They refuse to take any accountability for the issues they caused on my phone or for wasting my time the past few weeks with inaccurate information. They have no idea what's going on with their own app and are suppressing all the negative feedback they have in the Apple app store.

Really tired of 'Naked and Afraid'. The channel needs an upgrade, it's the same ole story. And what's so making me want to change the channel, is while watching a program, it's inundated with promos of othe programs to be aired sometime in the future, which I think is not a necessary act. Why, because who watch the channel already know what they want to watch, and it's air time, so why waste precious airtime doing those promos so many times an hour?

Way to many commercials!

How many more commercials can you possibly cram in a street outlaws episode. I'm considering to stop giving you my ratings on Monday night. I'll give them to Monday night football. The amount of commercial time is ridiculous compared to actual program time. So unacceptable

False promotions

Discovery plus is a faily new service here. I signed up about 5 or 6 weeks ago for 4.99. Last week they email me a black Fri promo it clearly said "resubscribe" for. 99cents for 3 months. When I tried to resubscribe it didn't work. When I contacted customer service they wouldn't honor it saying it was for new customers only. I argued that I'm a fairly new customer and that they emailed me the promo. They still wouldn't honor it. I don't have a problem with the content of the streaming service but more about their unethical business practice. It's not about the money but about the fact that they send me an offer and then say I can't have it. I hate companies that try to recruit new customers but treat their existing customer like crap. I cancelled
My subscription. They obviously don't care

Discovery plus for who? I even had a promotion code that didn't work and it's not free and it's not even 99 cent Black Friday deals more like Black Friday Nightmare and there's password issues and at the end of day it's not worth installing on any app I was more than happy to get the ad free but I got nothing!

I enjoy watching the crime stories on the Discovery Channel. What I mostly like is the stories from Joe Kenda. What I don't enjoy is constantly hearing on how great he is. He thinks way to much of himself ( arrogant self centered). He puts his pants on just like anyone else. Also, I don't need to hear about his family life. Especially his wife and how she was such a great person putting up with his job. If I need to hear about people's family life I can turn on a soap opera. In other words I like the stories but I can't stand Joe Kenda and his family.
