I am beginning to see very little difference between duck duck go and Google. I started using this search engine approximately 8 months ago and was very impressed with the information I could find that Google was burying and censoring. But as of late, I am seeing very little difference in the left leaning propaganda and censorship. I think I need a new search engine. Is there one out there with values and balls?

I started using Duckduckgo a couple years ago as a substitute for Google. It was semi-decent. Nowadays It's just plain awful. 3/4ths of my searches end up with nothing but piles of junk results. Even when I wrap every word in quotes, it completely ignores them. I'll put words in quotes, and most of the results won't even contain the words I entered. Sometimes I'll use the "Find in Page" feature of the browser, type in 1 or more of the words I searched for and the only matches it shows are the ones I put in the search query box. Even I go to one of the pages in the results and search for those key words, they don't exist. Nor is anything on the page even remotely related to what I searched for.

I'm tired of doing searches and constantly coming up with BS. What's the point of searching when it's just going to give you junk more than half the time? As I said. It's just as bad as Google. It seems the only time it gives good results is when you're shopping/looking for a product. To make matters worse, it refuses to show me more than 2 pages of results. I've tried to search for help with that... but you know... search returns crap results. I only found a couple pages that mention this.

I can't stand using DDG or even Google. They both seem to love ignoring quotes and showing me what THEY want me to see and not what I want to see. Smh. I don't know what's with all these positive reviews, because there is nothing positive about it. It's just plain horrible.

Is there anything better and actually"useful" out there when it comes to search engines nowadays? Thinking about searching gives me a headache now.

Im a youtuber and NOT EVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I SEEN A WORSE SEARCH ENGINE! My Channel is Wolfpaq7891Gaming im 18 and this search engine is NOT BOT PROOF! Google is much better. Duckduckgo claims to keep internet private. But dude this is NOT A VPN! All search engines will save your info this engine was designed no different. If you search something on here then exit and do it a few more times you will relize they save everything and blame there stuff on google. Also something that makes NO sense is Youtube is ran by Google yet DuckduckGo has their own channel! Its so funny how Youtube doesnt shut them off there site. Like DuckDuckGo IS NOT KID FRIENDLY! They Block this They Block That BLAH BLAH BLAH. Its so much easier to just watch a 30 Second ad that you dont even need to listen to! Kids want to go free! And Something so dumb about duckduckgo they claim they block all trackers. Yet i tested this on a old computer thats broken cause of this company on my old computer i went to a site on duckduckgo saying it was a mod so i was like okay and installed it. I GOT HACKED FROM THE MOD! Yet google warns you if the mod is safe or not! DuckDuckGo has Bad security and the duck looks cute! DONT FALL FOR THIS! YOUR KID IS GONNA LOOSE HIS DEVICE WITH THIS APP. Does anybody remember BonziBuddy from the 19's? DuckDuckGo is worse i dont see how DuckDuckGo hasn't experienced being sued by now. DUCKDUCKGO EVER SINCE 2008 THIS SEARCH ENGINE IS TRASH.

Thought it was a provider. It gives you progressive insurance and I don't want progressive. Scam don't use the site

I needed to get to a location about 50 miles in a hurry; tried GoogleMaps they wanted my life history as usual for them. Tried this site, WOW! Just plugged in "start" & "stop". Done! No history, no other info asked for!

It's not as fast as Bing but probably the same load speed as Google from my experience. DuckDuckGo just doesn't really pop out for me. There is nothing innovative about it. It's just an average search engine. If you're an average person, by all means, this search engine is for you.

You don't allow any one to track us and you also don't track us and you keep us safe and private thank you DuckDuckGo, you are 1000 times better than google

I don't know what to believe. The truth about DuckDuck vs Google will not be found in the reviews. I have noticed that several 1-star reviews have the same "BS" included in their reviews. This makes me believe that the same person is writing the 1-star reviews. So unfair to the real reviews. There are very few in-the-middle 3-star reviews. Typically those are the truth. No one or no thing is perfect. To many 5 stars are rarely accurate. They lie too. I don't think we will ever know the truth. I am going to stay with Google, at least I know they are BS (lol/smile).

Let make this clear this search engine is far from perfect, but when you start comparing it to the other search engines out there, duckduckgo will be the best choice at our current time with it policies and good algorithm simple ui. And I think it will improve as it grows and more people start to use it while insisting that the company should not change form it mean goal as a neutral search engine that respects people's privacy. Also some people won't care that much about the name but I think they are better finding a smaller easier name to make it more attractive to use.

Your not spying, you don't keep history, you don't have online tracker, your search is private & good

You go to duck go they have you enter in all your information then the give you 2 options to enter your information once again it don't save you any money I'm pretty sure they sell your information because how else would they make money I got quoted the same price going thru them as I did going directly to the company I use no savings what so ever

Total waste of time, doesn't prevent sites from tracking and targeting you on phone or desktop so what's the point?

I force stoped gxxxxe you know, just winged it for a while still had Sccsxxg partner in crime it was terrible looked at the ratings and tryed this app had noe for a minute but it works fine and if I start to go to a bad site it warns me but I can still go I have a choice not being directed like before the other one does it for profit they held the shared control one was in control the other the default so how do you get around that, I will tell you get DuckDuckGo and in a very short time you will find yourself believing the warnings kinda like a budy or a family member. Thanks. DuckDuckGo I am impressed.

Duckduckgo blocked trackers, advertisements and gave me an encrypted connection. This really is the best browser/search engine I've ever used.

Im so grateful for DuckDuckGo! Safer for my kids as well and gives me peace of mind. BEST ever. I hIghly recommend everyone using the internet to go DuckDuckGo

The duck sells your info to google, this can be seen with heavy ad choice ads all the time. Now they are redirecting and editing my search requests over hot button political searches. Total communist B. S!

OMG, this is the WORST thing I have ever done to my ipad! And it WILL NOT DELETE! No matter how many times I have tried, it keeps reappearing to a search I did last summer, and it is even complete with the misspelling of the thing I searched LONG ago! It is like a bad memory my ipad cannot erase! I wish I could leave negative stars as 1 star is too many! They OBVIOUSLY do track and are basing their reputation on that, but it is a lie! If anyone knows how I can completely extract this nightmare from my ipad, please leave me a message. Thank you!
