Glad to see I'm not the only one with issues... I returned a sewing foot and was told my customer service that they credited my account on April 5th but there was no credit on my credit card statement. I've called twice for them to research and get back to me with no response. I've finally had to initiate a chargeback with my credit card. Customer service is horrible, would not recommend.

My experience has been like most of the reviewers. They don't ship like they say they will - then when I inquire, they lie that it is going out that day. It doesn't. I am still trying to get my 100.00+ order from them. Wish I had read reviews before ordering...

I ordered from this site several times. I can't say that they filled my orders perfectly but still it was within acceptable limits. They have a very nice selection of fabrics. Some delays and minor issues happen from time to time but it happens with any online store.

I would give this site no stars if possible. The whole customer service experience was just miserable. And they need to take off their claim of shipping within 48 hours. They do NOT ship within 48 hours. I should have read the other fabric.com reviews before ordering. It is not worth it. I would rather pay the extra money for better service elsewhere.

I am a new customer to fabric.com and my experience with them was anything but pleasant. I put in my order on the 02/29/12 and it is now 03/15/12 and my shipment just went out yesterday, only due to me contacting them 3 separate times and speaking to 3 separate customer reps to resolve my order issue. They promised to expedite my order it is now set to arrive on 3/20/12 four weeks from my original purchase date, far from the expedition promised.
I even went as far as to email the President/CEO through their "meet our team" link my story (since he made all those claims about their "obsession" with customer service he made in their video.) Not surprisingly, no response.
If you google their reviews you'll find similar experiences, so I guess i'm not alone.
I would not recommend this service to anyone.

About fabric.com -- there's good news and bad news. The good news is that they have wide selection of fabric and shipping is fast. The downside is that much of that fabric is not of good quality. However, if you need "basics" like knits, clothing for children's fabrics, etc., this is the place.

I order from this site quite a bit because of a great selection, decent prices, and free shipping on orders over $35. However their order accuracy and customer service leaves me unimpressed.

I received an order this week. I had ordered 5 yards of a certain home decor drapery fabric. When I unrolled the fabric it was in 4 separate pieces. WHAT? Smallest was 24" and they went up to about 42". How the heck am I supposed to work with this?

Customer service is very hard to get on the phone. They want you to leave a message and they will call you back. I would rather be placed on hold or in a queue so I know at some point I might actually talk to a person.

Unfortunate since this was such a great fabric supplier before they were bought out by Amazon.

Reviewing them yet again. I am on the mailing list, and get emails for specials promotions, sales, etc.

Got an email on 1/10/12 around 8am about a "blowout" sale. Found some fabrics I liked that had good inventory, and place my order by 830am. My Pay Pal payment was processed. They brag about shipping within 48 hours, etc. Today my order goes from "pending" satuts to "on hold" status. So I live chat with customer service. They claim they emailed me this morning because an item is out of stock.
I never received the email. Her excuse for sold out status was they get orders faster than they can update the site, yet the site inventory is automatically updated when you place an order.

I have been screwed by these people before on their "sales" and "deals". I make an effort to only buy stuff that has high inventory to avoid this BS. The CS rep that I chatted with was not helpful at all, and basically ended the chat before it was properly finished and my concerns were addressed. I was not hostile or threatening, just stated the facts.

They are way too big for their internet britches, and really need to work on inventory control and customer service.

I used this site many times until last year. My simple order of 2 yards of fabric resulted in a long delay, then a shipment of a completely different and wrong fabric. They told me to keep it (weird) and that they'd send the correct order immediately. Three weeks later I received yet another mess of fabric that I hadn't ordered. A month later the fabric I wanted arrived. I'd never shop with them again.
