HP Reviews Summary

HP's reputation is increasingly marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from poor customer service and product reliability issues. While some customers praise the quality and reliability of HP products, particularly laptops and printers, many express frustration over unresponsive support, complicated return processes, and inadequate troubleshooting assistance. Common complaints include lengthy wait times, ineffective repairs, and a perceived lack of care for long-term customers. This growing discontent suggests a need for HP to enhance its customer service approach and address product support challenges to retain customer loyalty and improve overall satisfaction.

Tech Support Sucks
September 24, 2015

I have a HP Deskjet 3520 printer 3 in 1. This printer is WI-FI and I just love this way of printing from my living room. Well, the printer stopped printing black and no matter what I did nothing corrected the problem so I called HP and spoke with Tech Support and told them about the black not printing. I told them that I took out the print head and cleaned each port for the different colors and still no help and they told me that the print head does not come out and I told them that it does and I did it, well, they kept telling me NO the print head does not come out. Make a long story short, I ordered a new print head on line and when I hooked up the new print head everything worked just fine. Love the new print head and now the printer is back online and working just great. Just goes to show how much HP Tech Support knows.

HP is Dependable
August 10, 2015

Hp computers and laptops have been a staple of my home network for awhile. HP provides value and quality in both platforms of PC. I recommend HP products because of the reliability and design. I have owned other brands and nothing has lasted as long as HP

Have been using my HP laptop pavilion series for 8 straight years. Still with the original hard drive, processor, ram, webcam, and everything else. Recently upgraded it to windows 8, still working smoothly.

What more could you ask for!

In older days, I have been using other company pendrives but right from the Last year I have started buy only HP company pendrives because of the cost, compactness, quality, memory size I have started to prefer HP company pendrives and also i have started to recommend others also to buy HP company pendrives for their use.

GREEDY CORPORATE AMERICA
February 12, 2014

I recently bought a new Printer from HP. After having the ink cartridge's refilled an bringing them home and trying to get them to work in my printer, I then discovered that they will not work in the printer! I was outraged and called HP with the complaint. After several weeks of hearing nothing an HP REP called and offered my 2 printer cartridge's to shut me up. I said to the guy, YOU ARE GREEDY, and take it to a new height in the definition! Keep your cartridge's and I will just go to site jabber and post a SHAME ON YOU!

Great laptop but horrendous customer service (India again) and poor sales persons. I came very close to mailing my $1265 custom laptop back to HP due to the salesperson lying to me and having to purchase additional items to install what they sold me. 1. The salesperson lied about the number of CD/DVD slots I would be getting. They told me 2 and there is only 1. I wanted two for copying CDs/DVDs. 2. He assured me that customer service would NOT be India but the Philippines. It IS India and twice I could not understand them and they could not understand me. 3. The salesperson sold me a "kit" to put a second solid state hard drive in my laptop. When I received it, I realized that I now had to purchase an installation kit. 4. HP does not publish adverse reviews, so do not go to their site for reviews. They cherry pick what they want you to see.

The computer gets 5 stars while sales and customer service gets 0 stars. This averages to 3 stars.

One of the best site for downloading the drivers of HP machine free of cost. This is HP official website where information related to all the machines are easily available. All the machines software and drivers are available on their official website. If you are facing any issues regarding the drivers must visit this website..

Stay AWAY from Hp's laptops
September 27, 2011

Stay AWAY from Hp's laptops. This is one of those companies that don't care at all about customer service or quality of their product, they are just in it to make profit.
I purchased a laptop from them which within a month started to overheat so badly that the plastic actually melted around the fan. I couldnt get it in to be fixed for a few months because i had too much work stuff on there, when i finally was able to they tried to tell me they wouldnt do anything about it.

HP sure has technology issues for a computer company! Say you want to find a docking station for your EliteBook. Typing in "docking station EliteBook 8760w" returns 0 (that's zero) hits. The only way you can find out which model to order is to call them. If you have technical issues and look to their website you will be directed to different pages than you will if you call customer support; the customer support pages are the correct ones and the searched ones are outdated, by the way. It would appear that HP is so busy trying to get out of the tablet and PC/Laptop business that they've totally forgot to maintain a working web site for these products. Long delays on delivery because of parts shortages and defective products make HP a site and a company that you should avoid.

I've had bad experiences with HP previously and should have known to stay away. But guess what? I fell for their modestly competitive prices and shiny offering once again! Beware, people, of HP's marketing tactics as they will entice you to spend your hard earned money on their company. Yes, they are huge and global, but they got there in a deceitful manner which I will not support anymore.

I purchased a $1,600 laptop in July of 2009 and it started to give me trouble around May of 2010. It got to the point where I had to re-install Windows and had similar problems again just a few days ago! I called HP tech support and they advised that my warranty had run out in July and even to speak to them about any problem I had to pay them $49.95 and if it's something that can't be remedied over the phone, then I'd have to pay to ship it to them, pay for labor, pay for parts, and pay for return shipping. It was already getting into several hundred dollars. This is almost the exact experience I had previously. Their computers are like everyone else's, as ALL computer companies buy from third parties and slap it together. So I don't fault their product, I fault their service. After I explained how I was screwed once before regarding product failure just after the warranty period, I received the typical, "I"m sorry for your loss, but there's nothing I can do" routine. Oh, but they did offer to extend my warranty another year for $100, but that only included phone support! Wow, the nerve of HP!

Go with ASUS, Lenovo (IBM), or Gateway, in that order. Most companies have similar policies, but the flexibility and loyalty to customers vary drastically.

In all, I've discovered my hard drive is lame, which is a Seagate. I called them and they told me they sold ALL of the rights to the hard drive to HP and they can't help me... these corporations I tell ya... MEH is right!

HP used to be old school PCs that had no style but now with all of their new hp envy computers they really have done well in impressing me with both video and sound. Gaming is pure bliss on these machines. I have bought from the site rather than going to costco which did have it cheaper as I was able to buy a 3 year warranty from HP for a good price and I tend to use those warranties since I keep my laptop for at least 2 years. Otherwise you might find an HP cheaper at costco. The other thing is you can customize on the HP site.
