Contrary to what it appears to look like, the Huffington Post is not a news site overall, but rather a site for pretty much anyone can write articles, publish them and look like they are a journalist. The quality of the articles varies depending on the author. Some of them are written by high profile scientists, activists and journalists, and some are written by people who know next to nothing on what they are writing. As a result, some articles are excellent and worthy of journalistic prestige, while others are just text walls of BS. Huffington Post should not be taken as a reliable source, but it can be a good read.

Some of the criticism I see is that you only write for liberals. Well I am a liberal and I'll go further. You have bloggers that are only for Bernie and very Progresssive ideals. I have not seen one article critical of Bernie in any way, but many critical of Hillary. As a matter of fact I don't think she is far behind Trump in the negative stories about her, and if the story isn't negative you will have a biased and misleading headline. Huffing ton Post is about as fair and balanced as Fox, and I will now go elsewhere for my news and commentary.

Publishing Comments
January 17, 2016

This is the most dishonest site. I can make comments and I can see them after I publish them, but if I log in as another user, they are missing. Now I am not using bad language nor am I hateful. I can be critical but this is a site for adults. I can't be the only person having this problem. This is really dishonest because if you are blocked from viewership, HP ought to comment on your exclusion and the reason for it.

I keep a roster of 11 news feeds at the ready on my tablet, and Huff Post (HP) was one of them. I've just trashed it. The site navigation (bundled headline teasers) is sloppy at best, and helter skelter to boot. So I snooped around a bit and replaced HP with US News and World Report; much better navigation, meaningful headlines, and fresh news I'd never find at HP.

Actually the site is good, but recently they started giving the blogging privileges for HuffPo Blogs almost to everyone and some posts appearing to be trashy.

How long would you be buying a newspaper that has the same articles to read for weeks, or recycles feature articles for months. No, I don't reread these articles/features, but I end up reading the headlines over and over, and this wastes this old man's time. Also, they give you a headline that sounds interesting, but when you get there, there's something other than what has been described in the headline. This is fraud designed to get you to view the ads. Every time you land on a new page they get a payday, and you get taken for a time wasting ride.

I try to read and get the different views from wherever i can. I subscribed and joined the discussions/ comments area on many of the articles. God forbid should you voice a different view. Especially a conservative view. Eventually, I was blocked as well as pretty much every other conservative view. On just about every issue, everyone spins things a little favoring their particular beliefs. Huffpost goes way beyond that. Every news article is written squarely to satisfy its majority of liberal readers. Whats so funny is that it is the "real" faux news.

Really don't care for websites whose only option is to sign in or register with facebook.
Something about that I don't trust. I think every country has its own rag newspaper but I think the Huffington Post is the leader in America, Too Brassy? Nah!

It's a great site if you are a liberal, and it's World Post section is good for anyone (that's really about the only section that's worth reading). It feels too much like Buzzfeed as it reports too much on gossip, has too many sex articles and don't get me started on it's worthless articles on how to eat certain breakfast foods or how to make "the perfect pumpkin pie" (which is no different from how anyone else makes it). So, I'll give it two stars just because I like it's WorldPost section so much.

This is truely the most humpy jumpy ad in your face piece of fecal material page I've seen on the net. It would take a real moron or group of morons to even think this type of popup ad bouncing sh*@ up. I don't have time to chase the news while 100 ads jump up and sidetrack things. Ding Dong... Ding Dong... hire somebody that knows what the word "reality" really means. Or hide the weed and powder until after work hours.

Would give zero stars if I could, unfollowed everything from huffpost in Facebook. The articles are some of the most negative, narcissistic pieces I've read to date, especially the parents section! Do people actually do those things to their children? Sadly, yes. The last three articles that showed up in my news feed were the worst blame the child for your own piss poor behavior. Hello! The kid's three! You're not! Disgusting!

The only reason I gave it a star is because I had no other choice. (Disclaimer: I understand that all sites have their bias, and their leans, but HP is beyond different)

Huffington post has become just a cesspool of ignorance, and pompous liberal ideology. When not real news (which is 99%) it is simply talking about how horrible white republicans/conservatives/Christians/workers/Americans are and how Liberals are the superior race of political view, and all else who disagree are racist Nazis. Those who comment regularly are also the type to talking about how tolerant liberals are by assaulting and harassing republicans for being intolerant.

HP is just a cesspool of hatred, ignorance, and frankly radical views. Make one comment against them even in a civil manner, and everyone will jump on throat screaming slurs and whatever comes out of their $#*!.

I like the ideas in the articles, but it's very annoying! Too many distracting ads and Buzzfeed kind of gossipy side stories - insulting, to be honest! I never click on celeb stuff or gossip, but they keep feeding it anyway. Boo.

I don't know who took over the Huffington Post since it was sold, but I cannot navigate it without doing some weird things, and I do not like it anymore. It was my go-to site when Arianna was in charge. I'm surprised she allowed her name to remain on the site. Will look elsewhere for my news and ability to post.

Indeed, this news source is full of sex. I know that sex gives a lot of money, but they probably should pay more attention to some popular themes in the world. They set their selves up as a verified news source, but most of the articles do not inspire confident. Also I am not impressed with their simple reposts from social medias. But all in all this website is easy to use and I always have quick access to the information I am interested in.

What a dirty little rag HP has become, I used to read top stories on several different sites and would read HP for a second opinion or point of view then I started seeing stories post that no one else had, the last one was the morning after the leaders debate about whynnes teeth and glasses punched out, couldn't find the story anywhere else on google. HPs stories are mostly lies, half truths and/or made up.
The verification through FB only with a mobile # is a perfect example of the lengths HP will go to in a desperate attempt to survive. NO ONE needs your cell number for verification, there is more to it than just verification. Their political leaning is not really an issue, I know what side of their toast they butter and can decide (from legit news sources) for myself which way to go. They truly are the enquirer of the news industry.

Huffington Post is the National Enquirer of Liberalism. Its content consists of about 60% Conservative/Republican bashing, 20% LGBT cheerleading, 18% Sex and Orgasm related articles, and 2% actual news. The majority of commenters are viciously indoctrinated with liberal ideology and highly confrontational against any other point of view. The "headlines" of many or most articles are sensationalized to the point of being misleading, but the readers eat it up.
