I am very pleased to have been informed about iherb and have had many years of enjoyable shopping. The products are excellent, the prices are amazing and the company is a great one to deal with. I can't say enough about iherb and suffice it to say, I plan to be telling everyone I know about iHerb.
There is not even a percent of transparency by this site. They dont give any details while ordering the product till the time you get to pay extra when you receive the product. I ordered for a product from india and ended up paying 1500 rs extra for a product. If asked with the customer service they say we should have gone to a separate link which i dont even know where it is and should have checked it before i ordered. They dont mention anything while we select a product or when we enter the payment details or during the final bill.we would be in a situation where we would have already paid for the product and yet pay the same amount during the reception of the product yet again. Such a pain shopping with them.
No hassles here. I ordered several supplements which I have bought and used regularly for some time. I saved quite a bit through iherb and the shipping was quick. They don't carry all of the products I use, but I guess they can't carry everything.
Bought probiotic after they claim to refrigerate - they did not.
Anyone knows anything about probiotics know that they are either packaged as shelf stable or not. The probiotic UDO'S CHOICE Super Hi-Potency Probiotic is not shelf stable and therefore requires refrigeration of some sort during shipping. I searched for companies that would cold pack and iHerb's description claimed, "IHerb is the only company that packs it with ice and well insulated to keep it cold during shipment".
Package arrived, nothing included to indicate any attempt at shipping cold – therefore, they made false claim, which got me to buy and then neglected to follow through on keeping the product cold. Who knows the real effect this had on the product - but it matters not, as I will no longer trust this site or their quality after such an experience. It's a shame, because I have been ordering off and on from them for awhile now.
I love iHerb and tell everyone about the great products. Never disappointed. Always finding something new I haven't tried before. Thanks again.
Sadly enough, I have been a loyal and satisfied iHerb.com customer for few years until I got to face their ignorant customer service.
I have placed my order on April 30. Until this day, more than 4 months later I have never received my money back for the order.
When my order came to Denmark, I received a letter from Danish post that I had to pay taxes, which was almost the same amount as I have ordered for. That was strange since I have ordered many times before and this never happened. However, I understand it's not iHerb fault, but I was not willing to pay that much therefore after few weeks, the package was sent back automatically.
I contacted them and was told that the expenses will be refunded the total amount of the order, minus the shipping charge, and 20% of the value of the order, (as a re-stocking fee). I told them that was fine as long as they refund what is left.
Since them they never contacted me first. For 4 months I was trying to get any normal answer, but all I was getting seemed close to a copy/paste message, saying basically the same thing about possible charges.
In my last e-mail that I wrote on July 27 I wrote that this would be my last email and I want them to finally handle the situation and have some respect to at least contact me with updates. I received a similar email again and no money.
This is my first complain/bad review I wrote in my life, but that was very disrespectful customer service and hopefully my bad experience will finally be noticed.
I gave my sister my 6 digit Rewards Code to put on her first order and the order was for about $150. I was expecting to receive about $10 Rewards Credit on order I placed for myself about a week after here order was placed. I chatted and sent several emails back and forth trying to get my Rewards credits for bringing another customer to them.
Iherb's "customer service" is simply a joke on the customers. It has absolutely nothing to do with serving the customers and is only a theft of customer's time to even deal with them.
I ended up filing a complaint with my credit card company and they just said I won the dispute and they will not charge me the $45 order on which I was not given Rewards credit, but credit card will also not pay iherb. I herb has 45 days to dispute the ruling but doubt they will. That is not how Iherb makes their money.
They just consummate sales quick and dirty and customer is SOL in trying to resolve problems after the sale was made.
I used to think Iherb was a great company and they certainly have a large selection of products. Now, I am more inclined to go wtih Swansons but have to be careful there too.
I have narrowed down the supplements that I feel are very beneficial to my health and that I do not want to be without and I am trying to limit myself to purchasing those. It is not a good idea to respond to advertised new items in eamil ads for products you do not know you need. I am on a limited retirement income and I spend about $100 per month on basic essential supplement items I do not want to be without, but I really cannot afford to even look at new products described and do not want to fall prey to advertisements.
There is an extreme large amount of typical deceptive marketing rhetoric on health supplements and one has to just gaurd oneself against it all.

The site is very well arranged, so it is easy and quick to order even if you are not a computer genius.
I was excited to find iHerb, as I live outside the US. They offer products that I like and cannot find here. The first two orders went off without a hitch, but then the 3rd has been riddled with problems. Two weeks later, and I still don't have my third order. I have spoken to 5 - yes 5 - customer service reps AND the supervisor, and no one can figure out anything! All they say is 'sorry'. The package still hasn't been shipped - $110 worth or groceries! If you can find another company, I recommend you go with that company.

Mentioning the expiry dates in the website is a great help in choosing what exactly to order and more importantly in what quantities.
I ordered several items back in April of 2015. I never received the order. I put in many calls to the post office to try and find the package and also had a "case opened" with the post office for several months and nothing happened. I called iHerb in May to try and get some help with finding the package and then later to file a claim with USPS (since only the shipper can file the claim) but I received a rude response from iHerb customer service telling me they couldn't help me. After 3 months USPS said I had to turn the case over to consumer affairs. So I filed a case with them. But they never answer the phone. I leave messages and they never return my calls. So I'm just SOL at this point. Won't ever use iHerb again.
Cancelled items on my order without giving me the opportunity to choose an alternative.
It was a heavy item, I'd already paid shipping costs that were based on the order weight but iHerb didn't care about that. When I expressed this in a kind and professional manner and asked if I ordered an alternative brand of the same item I'd get the shipping fees waived, iHerb customer service responded but didn't address most of my query.
I also asked why the pending payment on my account was for £41 and not £37 and it took 3 emails before I recieved an answer, by this time I'd gotten quite frustrated and stated if the agent couldn't help me could he escalate to another member of staff. His response addressed my question, however he responded with this;
"Thank you so much for the kind words. It really does brighten our day when a customer takes the time out of their day to contact us."
I deal with high level customer complaints all day and I would never respond to someones dissatisfaction by thanking them for their kind words. I'm British so maybe I took the response as sarcasm unnecessarily, but I think people from most cultures would take the response as facetious.
IHerb is awesome! All other companies should follow their business model. They offer great products, great prices and AWESOME customer service, down to the detail in how they ship the products. I will continue to do business with them.
I have ordered from Iherb several times, always no problem. July 19th I ordered again from iherb. According to their email my pakage should be delivered by July 22,2015, But I have not. So I sent an email to iherb help desk for some update info and the iHerb Customer Service Chris Legaspi replied my email in time and tell me that due to customs clearance. Today I received my ordered stuffs in very good conditon. By the way I use Airmail Premium. The following are the log files from the Canada Post. Hope this helps.

Really! I live in Alberta and they delivery usually takes more than 3 weeks but still I manage my scheme to stay well supplied from those guys. Why I love it? Because they sell cheap, the products they sell is high quality and the product advertised is never different of what you receive. Isn't that great.
Be advised that if you live in Canada and order with delivery by DHL you will get charged with taxes. Do not use the that type of delivery it is expensive and you would have to pay taxes. Use international mail. It cost you time but you don't have to pay taxes over your purchases.

I don't know why people keep writing they have horrible customer service. They were brilliant!
I got e. L. f make up palette set, which i am unable to get in UK. Amazon is the only other site i could order from but not only were they more expensive the reviews were worse. The palette set arrived quickly but it was damaged so the palette wouldn't slide.
I contacted customer service and within 10 minutes, they sorted everything out and i would hopefully be getting a full refund in few days.

Answer: Yes you will be charged extra, they dont make it clear when you place an order, but I was asked to pay an extra £15 sterling before they would deliver my goods to my home, so I refused and am waiting a refund of my order which they now tell me will take up to 6 months, not a good company to deal with, buy from home if I were you, I will not purchase from america again.
