Working with my account rep (Pedro and Melissa) I was able to access several backend developers that were able to knock out my projects fast and for a very fair rate. I never ran into an issue picking talent and start up time for each was very fast. Honestly, in all my years working with freelancers these were defnitely the best. They can help you locate the best price per skillset possible, including quality of work so you can make sure you aren't using American (top paid) developers when you don't need them.

Employed a website designer on JoinToHire and agreed on a budget. He let us down on multiple deadlines and for the most part did not keep in communication with us. He had taken three quarters of the budget automatically though the site but had not provided the high majority if the work. We spoke with JoinToHire to tell them about our disappointment. They told us we need to speak with the designer which we told them we have tried to numerous times and got nowhere. We spoke with JoinToHire multiple times, one point they stated the designers work was high quality and in the same email stated they do not check the freelancers work. Each time we contacted JoinToHire they were highly biased and accepting of the designers lack of work. They would emphasise we need to talk with the developer and we would reply we can't because they do not reply. We cancelled our automatic payments. A week later we checked the account to see that they had attempted to take another three quarters of our budget. If we had not cancelled we would have been 50% over our budget that we agreed upon with no warning. In the end the developer agreed to refund us however the money was kept in JoinToHires website. We asked they disperse it and they did not stating the designer has to be paid for his hours claimed. We raised a dispute on paypal and received a threatening response stating they would refund us if we closed the dispute. If we did not close it they may charge us another three quarters of the budget. We did not take to this threat and waited for the next day. As we were preparing to escalate the claim, we saw they had refunded the money. I believe had we closed the claim, we would not have been refunded the money as we cannot reopen a claim once closed. Be warned, this website is a scammers paradise as they can claim any hours they want and JoinToHire automatically takes the payments out of your account with no warning or proof of any work being done.

Arannyk did an amazing job writing unique and SEO optimized content for us on a daily basis! His communication was top-notch, he met all deadlines, and his skills were reasonably strong. We really enjoyed working with Arannyk and will likely have additional jobs for him in the near future. He's a great guy and a true professional and I would recommend him to anyone who needs quality content (no matter the topic/niche) delivered on a schedule.

Like another person below, I was lured to join JTH from upwork by Borya Andropov. The job was agreed for a fixed price, and without notifying me, I was being charged on my credit card. No notification from the platform whatsoever.

Now, while the developer managed to get much of the work started, he was unavailable most of the time, and finally uploaded code without database and claimed he was moving country, and would start "on Monday". That was 2 months ago.

I am afraid that the experience has been greatly disappointing and I am forming the option that this is a group of individuals who are representing themselves. The "founder" pictures and names, and the pictures of the reviewers below all look generated from stock material.

The glowing reviews below all suffer from poor English grammar, that looks quite consistent as if from the same person, or general non-native skills.

Martina is AMAZING! She took on a project that was completely disorganized, and mainly just vague ideas, and turned it into something that our clients just fall in love with when they see. This a true example of professionalism and expertise. She knows how to take vague concepts, which are really complicated, and turn them into a concrete and practical product. On the marketing side, she's also produced some real gems for our communications and powerpoint presentations.
