My yahoo account was hacked by hackers I call see get back on they want $300 get fixed then I email yahoo customer never got reply this show me they in with scammer it all about Money I hope no else have to thru what I had may God bless you all you
Credit wise lowered my score in a single time by 13 points?!, because my yahoo account got compromised and suggested that I must change my yahoo password. For days I tried to do that in vain. When I called yahoo. They wanted me to pay $13 a month to help me change my password.!
I have 6 email addresses and they are constantly messing with me about logging in. It's so bad that I have completely given up trying to log in on my phone. They are constantly trying to sell me that yahoo plus thing. Are they bugging me because I won't do it? Hmmm
Yahoo Mail used to be great. I have had my account for over 20 years, but this company and their e-mail service has gone downhill so much I am seriously considering switching to Gmail. There is not one day go by where I don't get at least five spam e-mails wanting me to take a survey or claim a gift card. It doesn't matter how many times I send the messages to the Spam folder, I get more anyways. The "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the message doesn't work, it just takes you to their website.
I have a feeling they turned down spam filtering on their basic accounts so people will be forced to sign up for Yahoo Mail Plus, which is a premium subscription that costs about $20/month. Luckily I am too smart to fall for their corporate games. I will not pay a premium subscription so I can fatten someone's golden parachute! Nice try, Yahoo!
Had to pay 12.99 to get access to my account. Extremely rude costumer service as well. They make you pay some kind of subscription, which I canceled, in order to change your password. The guy on the phone tried to keep me on as long as he could (because there is a surcharge for the call as well) but once we finalized everything and I asked him to walk me through how to cancel that subscription of 12.99 he refused and told me read the email and hung up. Hopefully karma will take care of them. Another evil company that lurks among us.
Long story short, I was trying to gain access to a childhood account because it was how I would recover so much nostalgic memories from old social media accounts. The man said the account isn't accessible and hung up. No explanation or anything.
Ever since Yahoo started offering this new paid spam blocking service I've seen a huge increase in the amount of spam going into my inbox. Prior to this new service I rarely saw any spam squeak through to my inbox. I believe this is done on purpose; I believe they saw an opportunity to make money and decided to frustrate their users to a point they would provide Yahoo with a new source of income. I can't imagine how much money they could make from each user giving $5/month but it must be quite a nice source of income and they couldn't ask their users to purchase a product that was unnecessary (because the spam was already being blocked). I don't believe this is just a coincidence but is done on purpose and it is an unethical business practice in my eyes.
I have used yahoo mail since i was in highschool. I have only ever used two passwords, and i have had them memorized for years. They were not easy to guess and i never had any issues with someone breaking into my email. Over the last 10 years yahoo has made it more and more difficult to sign into my account, each time asking for more and more personal information (which if someone broke into their servers would give them more and more of my data). This most resent sign in i was forced to change my password and now there is no easy way for me to remember the new one due to rules about what it could be. So going forward i will need to "forgot" password every time i log in and make progressively more convoluted and unmemorable passwords. If your password is so complicated you have to write it down, it is unsafe. Requiring a certain complexity actually makes passwords easier to break because algorithms know to expect that complexity. And can easily write off any passwords that don't have X, Y, or Z special characters. Yahoo is just trying to collect more of my data each time i sign in, and I'll probably have to just add a rule to forward all of my yahoo e-mails to a different more secure website for future e-mail purposes.
Yahoo really wants me to upgrade to their Mail+ service. Unfortunately, I don't think allowing junk through that used to be flagged and filtered is the correct sales approach. I have no problem deleting irrelevant or unsolicited emails rather than pay a fee for what used to be free. Instead of trying to increase revenue, maybe Yahoo Mail could decrease costs by removing the spam button altogether. It no longer serves a purpose on the dash. I use other email services for different parts of my life (work, gaming, etc) - I don't have near the junk showing up in those inboxes that I NOW have showing up in my 20 year old Yahoo address.
RooterPLUS in Cumming, Georgia lied to me. I described my driveway and tank location and to them in detail and confirmed nothing would cost more than their advertised price: not two minutes into being here, "Steve" was laying on me that he would need an extra $50 to get his equipment down our quite unchallenging road. I've had four full construction dumpsters, backhoes, and other tank-based vehicles down and up here even BEFORE I substantially widened and reinforced that road. With no trouble. I could just see other "extra" fees coming. I have emails to confirm but can't load them below -- I told them to get off my yard.
Ever since Yahoo announced their Plus email, I've been getting well over a 100 spam emails a day. I cleared my spam folder this morning and as of now (12:50 PM) I have moved 52 emails to my spam folder. Since this started, McAfee has cancelled my virus protection about 6,000 times, I have won at least 12,500 tools from Ace Hardware, also won around 975 Ninja processors from Kohls, and have been contacted by 450 lawyers wanting to know if I lived in Camp Lejeune. If this is the only marketing tool they have, they are in a bad place. I will not give in to their very low tactics but will be using AOL more than Yahoo. I receive very few spam emails on AOL so they will be my choice from now on.
If only I could go lower than 1 star. Yahoo is nothing but a joke right now, one of the WORST costumer service I have ever experienced.
My yahoo mail is a disaster. Decided to try a free 14 day trial of yahoo plus. Slight reduction of ads but still no way to help with spam, so I tried to cancel after 14 days. Only way to cancel is by getting a phone code (but my phone was not on file and no way to enter it in settings), a QR code (which I wasn't set up for) or by a code sent to an alternate email (which was an email I hadn't used in 15 years and did not know the password for). So I had to call them, wait on hold, then spent at least 30 minutes while they said they could not identify me. They did NOT have an identification problem when I signed up for Yahoo plus or billed me! Finally agreed to cancel but would not refund the $5 which had been billed today for coming month. I was so pissed that I spent another 30 minutes trying to get refund, mainly someone explaining they could not identify me so they could not refund. When I asked for a supervisor, I went into a loop for 30 minutes of the guy saying "I could not find a supervisor, may I place you on a brief hold while I continue to look for one." This went on for a while before I finally gave up. CONGRATULATIONS, YAHOO, YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY SCREWED AN OLD LADY OUT OF 5 BUCKS! I hope you're really proud of yourselves!
The customer service guy is rude af! All I wanted was to recover my account and gave him all my info about my account and he said he still won't help me get my account back ur the fackers who logged me out of my account in the first place I just got a new number so I couldn't use my old one to log back in to change it because I don't have access to my old number I honestly wouldn't give them any stars out of five of others was possible
Yahoo's algorithm regularly sends conservative news sources to the spam folder even after repeatedly whitelisting the sender, adding to contact, marking as "not spam" etc etc.
As an unaffilliated voter I value news sources from all perspectives and if the US Postal Service isn't allowed to not deliver mail properly simply based on the senders political affiliation then email services like Yahoo shouldn't be allowed to do it either. Quite frankly, it's sad and pathetic that we have to tell people these things are wrong.
In the future I will only be using my 20 year old Yahoo mail account only for sites that I suspect will spam my inbox because that is all Yahoo has earned from me.
AM DISABLED AND YAHOO REFUSED TO GIVE ME ACCESS TO MY ACCOUNT. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO WORK FOR 4 YRS DUE TO THEIR CRAZINESS. REPORTING TO THE BBB. I THINK THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ON DRUGS.
Every single time I want to log into my email, I must get a new password. Every single time! After a very long time of this crap, I'm finally tired of it. If I could give zero stars, I would. Proton email I go.
I use to love yahoo until they wanted me to regain my OWN account for $12.00 a month. I've been using this same account for over 10 years now and now I can't access it. I feel like they just stole my life for $12, they won't get my services anymore.
Answer: You can get the old version back by clicking on the "SWITCH TO BASIC MAIL WITH FEWER FEATURES" below the YAHOO POP-UP AD BOX. UNFORTUNATELY THIS YAHOO AD BOX CONTINUES TO POP-UP whenever I TRY TO OPEN AN EMAIL. I can find no way to delete this MOST ANNOYING YAHOO AD BOX. YAHOO HELP IS NO HELP as they IGNORE my requests.
