The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with ticket delivery, refund policies, and customer service responsiveness. Many customers report being charged exorbitant fees, receiving invalid tickets, and facing unresponsive support channels, leading to frustrations and claims of being scammed. While some customers appreciate the variety of events offered, the overwhelming sentiment reflects a lack of trust and reliability. The company's rigid policies regarding refunds, particularly for postponed events, further exacerbate negative perceptions, suggesting a need for improved customer service and clearer communication.

This is a scam. Do not use them. Tickets are way overpriced. After you pay, you get an email to say you will receive your tickets 'some time' before the event. My tickets were never received.
COMPANY TAKES YOUR MONEY PERIOD
TOOK MY MONEY AND DID NOT GET TCKETS GOT AN EMAIL THEY WOULD ARRIVE 2 DAYS BEFORE CONCERT. I MADE A CALL TO CANCEL BECAUSE OF MEDICAL ISSUES. ALL OF A SUDDEN THE TICKETS ARRIVED. WOULD NOT REFUND ME. TOLD ME I COULD RESELL. FUNNY THAT ONLY AFTER THAT CALL WAS I ABLE TO ATTEMPT TO RESELL. CRUEL, INSENSITIVE AND ONLY LOOKING OUT FOR THEIR BORROM LINE.
Paid $62 for a parking pass in Tundra Lot B. The ticket was no good since the lot was FULL by the time we got to the venue and we had even arrived EARLY. Buyer beware!
I ordered tickets almost a year ago and don't have tickets in hand yet. And they don't notify you of the rescheduled concert date. The original concert was June 4th and now postponed to July 23rd. Now they are telling me I will get my tickets by July 17th. They charged you an exorbitant handling fee for each ticket that is not disclosed until after you submit payment. Almost impossible to get to a live person.
We made a purchase for concert tickets over a year prior to the event and were never informed as to when we would receive the tickets. When we communicated with the company they simply told us you'd get them by the event and left it at that telling us "maybe we would get them earlier and maybe we wouldn't. I strongly recommend sticking with stubhub
I called in to purchase tickets for a concert I'm taking my granddaughter to in August. Since I haven't been to this venue I didn't know how to choose the tickets online. She was very helpful and booked tickets that should be great. I got the email to rate before getting the tickets, so be patient before posting your review.
First I was charged over $50 more than what I was shown when I hit purchase, then they would not let me cancel or refund me when I immediately called. I contacted my bank to dispute this charge and then they paid me back only the $50 that was overcharged, but when i went to pull up my tickets they were not available and said it was because I was refunded. I asked for proof of my refund, because i had purchased tickets for $187, but they refused and said I needed to contact my bank. Now I am out $137. And have no tickets. Look on the BBB site and it's all the same.
I have to give this site a poor review. While they are responsive to email and messages, they are not helpful. When you call the customer service line, you only get in contact with robots. I've emailed them and they responded, however they informed me that I could reply to the email they were sending from with any additional questions. Needless to say, my replies come back deliverable.
I ordered my tickets to a concert talking place on 7/13 back in January. I'm being told repeatedly that I'll receive my tickets by 7/12 and if I don't, I'll be refunded. I don't want to be refunded, I want the tickets I paid $200 and arranged my schedule for. I'm so severely disappointed that it's taking over six months to get me tickets and that I won't know if I have access to this concert until the day before. I've never heard of anything like this in my life.
This company is not helpful, their representatives use the same talking points and couldn't be bothered to look into an order in depth for you. I've never written a review of a company until now. Horrible service. I will never use them again.
It was just decent she didn't tell me all information that I needed to know before I arrive at the concert I know the balcony I know it's in 201 she did not tell me what seat I will be sitting in whether or not it was handicapped accessible
Julio Rodriguez delivered Excellent Customer Service!
He even helped us receive a discount even though handicapped seating was unavailable!
I purchased tickets to Brad Paisley concert on May 29th. I immediately got email with instructions to transfer tickets. However, when I go to transfer the tickets, I receive an error with a broken page link. Unfortunately, it is difficult to actually talk with someone on the phone at onlinecity tickets. I've chatted with them online and emailed them a screenshot of the error about 50 times in two days and they keep giving me the same instructions as they initially did. I believe they sold me tickets that don't exist and are bogus.
Still waiting for the tickets to be transfered. Then I can give a review, but the ticket buying experience was helpful as this will be my first time going to this pavillion.
Forgot all about the show until the week after. Lost out, just gotta laugh! Had great tickets too!
Been on hold for an hour going through a dozen menu question trying to resolve an issue about having a physical ticket to go to venue. I don't use a smart phone because of robo calls and getting slammed with text messages. Sorry I don't need to add a photo my ticket number is *******. I paid over $200 for this ticket. This review won't get posted so I am probably wasting my time. SMH!
Watch out for these guys! Their at the top of your search engine like they represent the event but their ticket resellers and they mark the tickets up horribly. Plus the hidden fees you dont see until your card is processed. Then it's not even guaranteed that your tickets will be where you want. What a $#*!ty company that I hope goes bankrupt soon. Fire the CEO and his/her's poor customer service policies. They do not care about you or your business so why are you going to give it to them? Be very careful dealing with this site, you'll be sorry if you do. The good reviews you see have to be fakes.
I am not tech savvy so the staff had to help me find the path to my ticket. The gentleman was understanding and polite. I very much so appreciated his patience with my lack of knowledge. That tells me the companies hiring ethics are above average and in the end, I was happy.

Beware! I can't say it enough. Clearly my fault for not being more observant, but I just paid $512 for two tickets to Wicked that only cost $77 if you click on the right link. DO NOT BUY from Online City Tickets. They are a complete rip-off, and there's nothing I can do about it. And I got scared enough that I had to call my credit card and have a new card issued because I'm concerned about the security of my card.
Always ask many time before giving your credit card. After payment it is a different attitude-very difficult to contact service and get any answers
Answer: In my case, they sent e-mail that the tickets would be forthcoming. When I failed to receive them the week before the concert, per e-mail download as promised, I called their #, the person on the other end told me that it was will-call at the box-office with the copy of the e-mail I needed to bring. The box office told me that as a 2nd line seller, they did not keep them there. When I called to ask why they did this to me and demanded re-imbursal, they sent the tickets per e-mail download THE DAY AFTER THE CONCERT. They tried to cover their tracks with the credit card company, the problem for them was that the time stamp of their sending the tickets reflected the day after the concert. So essentially, they are not even competent as rip-off artists.
Answer: So sorry to hear you have been conned by this outfit. Apparently sometimes they DO send valid tickets, so I hope you are one of the lucky ones. I suggest you tell your credit card company (by phone and IN WRITING) that you are disputing this charge. Also tell everyone you know to avoid this rip-off company. I know this doesnt help you now, but in the future buy tickets only from Ticketmaster (I've never had a problem with them). Good luck.
Answer: I couldn't even open the download so I called the number and all I got was an answering system to send email and I did but no reply from them so the next day a call about 50 times until I got someone. After getting transferred to 3 different people and waiting about an hour for the supervisor the guy told me no refunds are allowed but money is 100% guarantee if it doesn't work at the time of the event. So I'm praying to God they are good the event isn't until the end of November
Answer: They are scoundrels. I know where their office is and went by there recently. I am laying out a plan.
Answer: If you have already purchased your tickets from this outfit, good luck. They sent me tickets for a concert in Tennessee and I asked for and live in Florida. They said it was MY mistake and that I asked for TN. They supposedly tried to resell the tickets and couldn't so I was out $300.00 for two tickets. They have something like 130 complaints and are a scam outfit. Next time order elsewhere and good luck with these tickets.
Answer: I just cancelled my order because they never sent the tickets. At least you got yours so maybe they will be okay. I would call the arena where the event will be and ask them how many issues they have had with this company. I emailed five times and they always sent an automated response back. Then, when I was in a meeting at work they finally called and the number just read, "33333" when they called me. No return phone number... very strange. They left a message to call them so I did immediately after my meeting (15 minutes)... the automated system was up and did not allow me to speak with a person. Thus far, I have never spoken to a real person when I call their number. I disputed the purchase, got my money back and bought tickets for much less at StubHub. I was surprised because my last tickets at Stubhub were kind of expensive... but these tickets (McCartney) were not too crazy expensive. Anyway, best of luck, and I would make a back up plan.
Answer: You will get your tickets, but they will likely have someone else's name printed on them. Worst of all, they will most likely not be honored at the gate/box office. My advice is to get a refund NOW and buy tickets from a reputable outlet like Ticketmaster. City Online are thieves and scammers. See my review about James Taylor concert in Norfolk, Virginia.
Answer: Contact the venue, give them all the details on the tickets received and verify if U will be able to legitimately use the tickets, considering the issues with this company that are so overwhelming. My experience reviewing all the people who describe their issues with them is that even if the tickets are usable, the overpayment is so excessive that it would have been better dealing with the regular ticket outlet for the venue.
Answer: Yes Ann, you will get your tickets. You just over paid by a HUGE amount... but other then that, the company is legit. They are just robbers the way they do it... thats all. Have a good time and yes, at least now you learned a lesson (like all of us on this site);-)
