Very nice photo site. I like the boards, which enable a user to create themed exhibits. Attractive interface, smooth transitions, no loops or hanging pages so far.

I spend a lot of time planning home projects with Pinterest, and I just love it! I get great ideas from others, and I get to save all of my favorite website in one spot. No more bookmarking pages, when I can just upload what I'm looking at to my Pinterest page. Brilliant tool!

Pinterest is a site for collecting cool things you've found online and sharing it with friends. It is similar to Tumblr, but it allows you to organize the things you like into sections or boards. There is a feed from your follows, feeds for all the different categories, and a feed from the most popular from all users of Pinterest. Anything can be pinned - categories range from home or weddings to food and fashion. You can personalize your boards to be anything you want, and they're always there to look at later. With the amount of everything on the site, it is incredibly organized, and that's probably my favorite thing about it. And of course, it has a ton of great ideas and is a lot of fun.

Pinterest is a good way to express creativity and share with friends/strangers ideas or anything cool you may have seen. Although pinterest may seem a little silly or confusing at first, the website actually serves many good purposes. The website is open for viewing but in order to completely participate, one must be 'invited'. While getting invited may take a mere 24 hours, these 24 hours may deter ones interest in the website. Hence, this may be seen as a con. Also, new users may find themselves confused since pinterest is not user friendly and it takes some getting used to.

Ultimately, I think the website's main purpose is to help individuals share ideas and interests with one another, whether recipes, DIY crafts, or decorating. The various options helps this website remain successful and promote its popularity. Personally I use Pinterest, and although not very often, I would recommend it to a friend.

Pinterest is a really fun pin board website that allows you to pin different websites and pictures and arrange them into boards. This technique is really useful because it keeps your ideas and interest organized and in one place. On Pinterest you can create your own boards, as well as see others boards, which can be very useful when searching for pins that interest you. Pinterest has many different categories such as food, art, home decor, and DIY projects. I love getting on Pinterest to find DIY present ideas. The website is easy to use and has some very useful features. One feature that I specifically like is that each pin has a link to the original website which can be very helpful with the DIY projects or food recipes. One con about the website is that in order to create a Pinterest you have to receive an invitation. This can be a little annoying because it takes a couple of days to process, but it is worth the wait. I would recommend Pinterest to anyone, I have even got my mother hooked.

Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes. You can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.
This tool is very effective not only for the fun aspect of every day life but also as a future teacher this website gives me ideas for the classroom. It is very easy to use. The boards are easy to pin stuff and nothing is too complicated. The pros about this website are the fact that people have such amazing ideas that they want to share with others that it makes it easy for others to access it. The con to it is that the first time users it can be confusing but once you get the hang of it everything becomes easier. The purpose of this website is to show off things you have found on the Internet for others to use. I would most definitely recommend this website to a friend.

I'm really irritated with Pinterest. They had me pinning things I was never interested in and then would not cancel my account. I finally blocked them on Facebook. This was weeks ago and I just found a friend had found me still on Pinterest. Apparently once you give them your info you can't get out of it. No wonder they are growing so fast!

This is such a great site--if you're a visual person, you'll love it.

What it does is allow you to collect ("pin"–via a cute "pin it" button placed neatly in your toolbar) everything you love on the web and organize it into categories ("boards"). You can cluster your favourite whatevers (art, photographs, clothes, recipes, interiors, quotes etc) on a pretty little page, which you can share with the rest of the Pinterest world (and whomever chooses to "follow" you), and, in turn, follow any other boards you like, and pick up new "pins" by "repinning."

It's super inspiring, perfect for planning, and it's also great for picking up helpful DIYS and recipes too.

First, I've been a member of Pinterest for just a few weeks. I found having to wait to be "invited" rather pretentious though I suppose it keeps out the great unwashed who would infuse the site with unwanted trash.

Here is my experience so far. After accepting the "invitation," I was asked to choose my areas of interest by checking boxes. I came back to the site a couple of days later when I had more time. Everything... and I mean e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g that was pinned to my account was from the same person who, if the numbers are correct, apparently likes everything that every other member likes only think in numbers that are incomprehensible. I tried to get rid of this person, block her pins, block her name so that I might enjoy a variety of what other members have to offer. Well, apparently the geniuses at Pinterest have no intention of allowing members to block content they find objectionable or redundant. Now... that's scary.

I accessed the "Contact" page and sent a note asking, no really begging, the powers that be at Pinterest to either block from my account what I would consider to be no more than a high-class spammer, and, if they couldn't or wouldn't do that, to close my account. Seeing only pins from one person exclusively at the expense of others whose work and interests I would like to view is not my concept of a well designed social networking/media site. Needless to say, no one has responded. No surprise, really.

There should be a function for members to block other members content they find objectionable or just don't want to see. There should also be a way to close one's membership out.

I think the concept of Pinterest is a fairly good one. There just has to be a lot more functionality for the user to manage his/her account.

Pinterest is like going to a fabulous restaurant, being presented with a beautiful meal, and then getting serious food poisoning afterwards. You want to let the restaurant know so they can fix the problem, but you can't get in contact with them.

I love the concept and the design of the site, but it is littered with bugs which makes the user experience frustrating.

As of now my account is not useable:

A. Boards have been created that are not visible in my account, but recreating the board results in an error saying a board already exists under that name
B. I logged in two days ago to find most of my pins had moved under a single board, but when I edit the pin to try to move it back it says it is still under the original board even though it is not
C. I get 400 and 500 errors about 25% of the time when trying to navigate the site and post new pins

I know it's a free service. And regardless if I agree with your decision to not offer support, the lack of it would not deter me from praising or using the service.

However -

A. If you are not going to offer support, you should make this clear. I wanted the service to work so badly that I wasted my own time attempting to find a way to get my account fixed. Only to have my emails not responded to and Facebook posts deleted. (mind you, my posts were super friendly and very appropriate, but they were deleted w/ no response.)
B. One has to question the integrity and future of a company when they do not have interest in understanding and fixing bugs customers are experiencing

I sincerely hope you turn this wonderful concept and beautiful design into a functioning product. Use that 27 mil to hire a customer service and QA team! Otherwise someone is just going to copy your idea and do it right.

First of all, I can't believe this site only has two reviews! I almost fainted! Seriously though, I LOVE this website. It's not extremely often that I give a website five stars. I'm a pessimist - I always find something wrong with everything. But with Pinterest, I really can't find anything worth complaining about. ONE thing though, like the other reviews and comments talk about, the whole "Invitation Only" thing is a bit absurd. I don't really see the point of doing that. But thankfully my invite came within a few days, so I really don't have much to complain about. I love this site because it is so incredibly customizable! You can make pin boards on ANY topic you want. You can also search for pins or pinboards on any topic you want, and "repin" other peoples' pins onto your pin boards (you still with me?). You can also "like" items, if you like them but not enough to repin them. This is one of my top websites for inspiration and motivation. I always hoard pins from other boards because I find such awesome stuff that I didn't even know existed! I have a board for DIY projects, rainbows, neons, make up/looks, stuff for the home, typography and photos, beautiful spaces and places, and a few more. It's definitely addicting! Like I said, I'm surprised there are only two reviews on this site! One of my absolute favorites, hands down!

T N got me an invite, and I've since spent all morning on here! It's like another image sharing website, except the concept of it is ingenious. The idea is to "pin" things that you find of "interest" (hence, pinterest) onto your very own board.
Except the boards are never-ending. As you keep scrolling, more and more images appear so there's no hassle with needing to click "forward" or "backward".

One thing I can't rave enough about this site is that it is very intuitive. It's super friendly to use and you won't ever be thinking "how do I do this? Why can't this function be more obvious? Ugh, i don't wanna read your 50 page FAQ".

You can categorize and label your boards so not everything is meshed together in one big blob. You can opt for a board to be private, so no one else can see it but you. Once you pin something, you can go back to edit your pin or delete it if you ever needed to.
When viewing other pins: liking, saving, repinning is as easy as hovering over the image of choice, and clicking one of the three buttons that will appear above the image.
The home page is a combination of pins from all of your friends, the people you follow, and you. The most recent pins are always first, so their new great finds are automatically shared with you.

Love how easy it is to use this website!

My friend Judy introduced me to this website tonight, and it was basically love at first sight. The idea is that you have your own virtual pinboard (or corkboard) and, with the Pinterest application, can pin any picture to your board that you please. The board goes on forever, for as much space as you need. You can have different boards for different interests. Your friends/strangers can repin the image, comment and like whatever you pin. You can peruse strangers' pinboards and find cute new outfits or exciting ideas for hobbies or your home. The site is by invitation only, and apparently it takes time to be invited -- I find that a bit heavy-handed, but it won't stop me from jumping up and down when I get my invite...
