First of all Gary Lee, (his real name) he is 53 and living in Newport News, VA. Ladies, don't waste your time. This guy doesn't own his own business, he works for a homeowners association. His profile picture is probably 4-5 years old and he's gained about 40+ lbs since it was taken.

He's lazy, smokes pot to the point of excess, and has no clothes that aren't stained or have holes all over them. When you look at the Pic of his house on Google it looks like a junk yard. He states he makes 10k-12k per month on his business, yet has no clean clothes, wears no socks, and what he does wear is full of stains and holes, frankly his money must be going to weed sadly. We went on one date and he claimed that he wanted a relationship, but he only wanted one thing and one thing only. If a man makes 12K per month, how does he owe money on a house he bought for 83,000 seven years ago? Im not all about the money or material things, everyone has debt why lie?Just be who you are. I question him about his business, just general questions, about a bathroom remodel that he was working on, he didn't answer the question, started to ghost me and was back on pof looking for his next woman.

After looking into his life and finding out most of it was fake, I was smart enough to throw this fish back within 4 days of knowing him. His entire story is a lie.

What I've always found, if someone's story doesn't make sense it's a lie. This guy has more holes in his story than Spongebob! Lol

Nothing about anything he told me makes sense. Just be who you are and tell the truth. Most of us just want a nice man in our lives, not money or huge homes.

POF is a bargain basement site, so it attracts the bargain basement type of person. Lots of egos, weirdos, and people with issues who shouldn't be dating.

The headline section is supposed to be the first interaction people have with potential partners, so maybe people would make an effort The people on POF don't seem to know how to communicate

Pof just made me laugh

The women all act like theyre peak Christina Aguilera 1999 when in reality they look more like Christina Aguilera in 2025.

The women range from below average to distinctly average and that's totally fine
Where it all starts to go wrong however is that every single woman on there is determined to find a man who is miles and miles out her league.

They don't seem to care they have little chance of meeting a drop dead gorgeous looking guy on there, they're all too busy demanding on the profile you must be tall dark and handsome to get a reply. I mean what could possibly go wrong?

I'm not sure if every dating site is the same as this is the only one I've been on but the women are very unrealistic with their demands

From what I can see, it's full of single parents and "plus-size" women who all have oversized glasses and nose piercings which is not for me.

Everyone on that website wants some guy out of their league while offering nothing in return.

No one is simply happy with just finding a good person; they all want the man of their dreams.

It's full of 3s all thinking they're entitled to a man who is a 9 or a 10. Online dating has addled their brains. There's no common sense.
Why would a guy who is hot want to date a 3/10?

Until the women on online dating start to be more humble and realistic, it'll continue to be a waste of time

This pof weirdo moves way too fast, he is 61, was in the AF, now disabled and hanging around with 30 somethings. He mentions that he goes to parties where his best friends gf show their boob's. He went to his best friends wedding this December and the bride "Katie" supposedly handed out her nudes to him and the rest of the groomsmen to play a prank on her Groom "Ryan". He continues to go on about how beautiful she is. Ah highly inappropriate. Who gives out nudes at their wedding! And he took them and looked them over. One of the weirdest guys and stories I've heard. 61 hanging around with 30 somethings? Giving off pedo vibes here. Once I heard that he got blocked. He states his estranged brother likes "little girls aka sex offender. He's basically wanted to be a couple with me within hours of talking and move to my area. Creepy! His profile pic is him in a tux in from of a christmas tree. LADIES BEWARE!

Just like before people click like but they can't be bothered to message you. It's too much trouble for them. It's still full of women who think they're better than you and act stuck up.

If you message first you'll either be ignored or find they have no conversation skills and no humour.

The women are flawed and imperfect yet want someone perfect, tall dark and handsome. It's just 3s wanting 10s. Strong independent woman seeks man of her dreams 🙄

My take on POF
Supply and demand isn't good on a dating site when there are hundreds of men for every single woman.

From what I saw, there are only two types of females on there: extremely ordinary and really terrible.

The ordinary ones get bombarded with 100s, of messages and start becoming picky, which is understandable, I guess. The terrible ones get very little mail and are on there for years and becoming increasingly bitter.

Simp guys can cop the blame for ruining POF; love bombing anyone even half decent. They've ruined it with their pathetic behavior.
So if you don't get a reply, you now know why

Pof is just the bottom twenty percent of society all denanding someone from the top 10 percent.
They have absolutely no hope at all but refuse to compromise. It's frankly embarrassing to see such spoilt behaviour.

Pof is full of extremely picky middle aged women who still think they can be as choosy as they were when they were twenty one. It's entitlement city on there and delusion central all rolled into one.

Its just rammed with women who demand the man of their dreams but refuse to upgrade so have to constantly tell you they can't see likes.
I've never seen so many people with blatant issues. This is not a good place to be. It's misfit city, timewaster central.

If you do find someone okay bear in mind they'll be 500 other men messaging too

POF was great years ago. Now it has become extremely restrictive as to what you can do without paying and it's not cheap. Just get the free version and you will see that they send you fake views and likes which you can't see unless you pay to get you to bite. 99% of users don't pay and can't see you either. There are very old and dormant profiles, fakes, scammers and plain out liars. I don't recommend pof. It was bought out by Match and takes advantage of lonely and desperate singles, sad.

Good luck finding a lady of good breeding on POF.

The 'ladies' are more masculine and uncouth than most men I know. I don't find cursing all the time and being covered in tattoos attractive or ladylike. I guess they don't know any better

Most on POF are incredibly rude, lack any humor class, or even basic decency, but they sure still demand the man of their dreams.

Tldr; POF is full of terribly low-class people. I think the phrase is 'scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Very poor customer service. Bait n Switch - they charge your credit card then ban your account refusing to pay back money. Do yourself a favor stay away and find another site
Customer service emails for resolution are " RUDE "

PlentyOfFish is a tremendous website if you're on the lookout for a single mother or searching for someone who is crazy and covered in tattoos... it's full of them.

If, on the other hand, you're looking for someone happy friendly and with no baggage, then you'll be sorely disappointed.

It's not the site it is the people that are to blame

How can you take any site seriously when every single woman on there thinks she is a princess who won't settle for anything less than the men of their dreams. It's crazy

To be honest I didn't find many of the women on the site very attractive at all. Even the ones who were okay seemed to have a terrible attitude or no personality.

All the profiles are blank or just tell you they don't like cheats and how they can't see the likes.
The funniest ones are those which tell you they're the self proclaimed banter queen yet can't even fill the about them section out.

80 percent of the females on POF are utterly dreadful. The remaining 20% are just plain Jane standard. Yet they ALL think they're a solid 10/10. Just look at the state of the photos and the aggressive profiles they put up. You're dealing with the reject bin of life.

The only reason they adopt the picky entitled attitude and make no attempt with their profile is because of how pathetic a lot of the men are on there act.

Way too many simp desperate men who are so thirsty for any partner at all that they bombard every single woman with messages telling them how great they are.

It's utterly embarrassing. Online dating is dreadful. It's full of horrible desperate and rude people.

The people on the site are either unwilling or unable to fill out their dating profile without being rude or demanding, so it's hardly surprising they can't make their relationships work and are single?
It's pretty evident they're on POF because no one else can deal with them in real life yet they act like God's gift, and they're actually doing you a favor by being on POF.

They all seem incredibly angry, unhappy and downright rude. So more for creating a good first impression. Can't see likes, hate liars, and cheats; make me laugh; don't waste my time!. No ugly people! Were just some of the headlines I saw and should give an indication of what kind of people you'll encounter if you sign up to this site

All the females on POF are looking for their prince to spend their life with. That would be fine apart from the fact they offer very little and want it all.

Let's be honest. If you're short, unfit, not very aesthetically pleasing, and lacking basic social skills, can you really demand a man who is very good-looking, funny, and tall? It's not going to happen, is it?

Most of them also had a really bad attitude problem and didn't seem to like men.

I couldn't believe the 'quality' of women, some shocked me, some revolted me, others made me feel sad for them. Mostly though they're 55 year olds dressed up as if they're 20 again, this one old hag stated on her profile "Nothing bald and short" then I saw HER! You'd think it was princess Diana but more like Countess Dracula, total embarrassment, oh and don't forget the tattoos! Plenty of Tats would be a better title for this hideous spectacle.
If you do see someone you like they're usually 200 miles away, I believe there are some decent people on there but very few, oh and I kept getting messaged by 70 yo's! I'm 52, I'm still getting over it, AVOID guys ffs!
