The company generally enjoys a positive reputation for its user-friendly reservation process and competitive pricing, with many customers appreciating the ease of booking and the informative website. However, several concerns were raised regarding transparency, particularly about fees and cancellation policies, which left some customers feeling misled. Customer service experiences varied, with some interactions being highly praised for friendliness and helpfulness, while others indicated confusion due to communication barriers and insufficient support. Overall, while the company demonstrates strengths in convenience and pricing, it would benefit from enhancing clarity in its policies to improve customer trust and satisfaction.

FRAUD! FRAUD! FRAUD! FRAUD!
TRAVELPASS IS A COMPLETE BOGUS COMPANY! They will lie and try to sell an incorrect piece of information. They have defrauded us while booking a HOTEL reservation by providing us with misleading information that, upon arrival, wasn't true. PROBLEMS WITH THEIR BOOKING, CANCELATION, etc. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS UNRESPONSIVE; THEIR SO-CALLED ESCALATION TEAM IS JUST FOR NAME SAKE.
Please stay away from them if you don't want to lose your hard-earned money.
This company is fraudulent. They have taken money from, refused a refund, do not respond to emails and have lied to my face multiple times. This company is corrupt. DO NOT USE. I promise you I am saving you a lot of trouble.
There are many reservation sites that you can use - please... for the sake of your bank account, use someone else.
I'm sure they have plenty of legal stuff that says I agreed to it, but I didn't even realize I wasn't booking with Marriott directly until I needed to add my Marriott frequent traveler number. My trip was then cancelled the next day (still 3 days before my trip) so I cancelled it and they are charging me $200. I called, and they did not give one care about it.
By the way, their hold music is the worst too. Just gets louder and louder and noisier. It felt like a way to make me hang up.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Mike. I will share your feedback with the customer service manager so we can look into this. If you’d like more help with your reservation, please feel free to contact our escalations team at support@reservationcounter.com.

I was charged the same price as Hampden Inn for a broken down no brand motel. The off the street price was $83. Reservation Counter charged me $127 with no recourse for a cancelation despite a deceptive discription. Look at the BBB reviews that can't be manipulated for the real story. Fair warning to all.
Thank you for your review and sharing your experience, James. We receive our information and rates from the hotels we book for directly. If you’d like more help with your reservation, you may contact our escalations team at support@reservationcounter.com. --Rachael, Review Manage
After making a reservation for the wrong dates and contacting the site immediately - they had no mercy. I had to pay full price from my error. They would not even allow me to change the dates. Thinking I was on the Hampton website, the system tricked me and checked me out with this ReservationCounter.com. I knew immediately I was screwed. Those thoughts came true as soon as I realized I had made a mistake. I spoke to the person that answered the phone and to their supervisor to no avail. So much for customer service. I WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN.
I'm sorry about your experience, Jennifer. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I will send you an email for your information so we can look into this. If you’d like more help with your reservation, please feel free to contact our escalations team at support@reservationcounter.com.

Beware! Do not use this Company!
Too bad there isn't negative stars available to choose!
You will be overcharged for the same room that you can book from the hotel website!
We were on a work trip and finished earlier than expected. We called to see if we could cancel the last day of a 3 day reservation, and was told "NO" after holding for 41 minutes! We were told that the last day to change anything was on Aug. 24th. We booked on Aug 21st, for 5 days 2 in one town and 3 in another town.We did not get to the job site until Aug 28th. The job is ending early, so we do not need the last night reservation.
So how are we supposed to know by the 24th that we needed to cancel, if the job didn't start until the 28th?
The phone number for this 3rd party is "conveniently" located next to the hotel information, on the website.
Please make sure that you do not make the same mistake we made. We will NEVER use this "service" again!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Linda. I will share your feedback with the customer service manager so we can look into this. If you’d like more help with your reservation, please feel free to contact our escalations team at support@reservationcounter.com.

When you look up Reservationists Counter it states " Official Site. Book Hotels Today. No Change or Cancellation Fees. Independent, Easy Savings, and Excellent Support" so when you cancel your reservation 3 days in advance and you look at the cancellation policy verbiage that is extremely confusing I still get charged for my reservation and cancellation fee. This is false advertisement!
Thanks for your review and feedback. I'm sorry for any confusion. Our cancellation policies vary depending on the hotel. They set the terms and conditions for each reservation. Some reservations allow cancellations, while others are non-refundable. We highly recommend reviewing the terms found in the cancellation policy when you book with us. If you’d like more help with your reservation, please feel free to contact our escalations team at support@reservationcounter.com.

Was auto-transferred to this site on-line. Booked hotel in Mass. Received confirm for that hotel, but on arrival, reservation couldn't be found. Called, and was on hold for an hour before getting answered. (Auto-callback doesn't work. They called back and auto-cancelled the call.) Found they had booked my hotel in California. Must now wait for them to "review" before deciding on refund. Their "fees" are also outrageous. "Great prices" don't end up so great. Got room on-site for only $10 more total! All this trouble wasn't worth it.
I’m sorry about your experience, Robert. That must have been frustrating. I will share your feedback with our customer service manager so we can look into your situation further. If you’d like more help with your reservation, please feel free to contact our escalations team at support@reservationcounter.com.

They did not care about extenuating circumstances that forced me to cancel. I asked to reschedule, but they kept my $800. I've had non-refundable reservations before at a hotel/resort, and they are typically very understanding if something comes up that you cannot avoid. I don't mind paying a fee, but keeping my entire reservation is not a very good company policy.
Thank you for your review, Jodi. We are required to follow the terms, conditions, and cancellation policies that the hotels establish in the booking system. When our customers have extenuating circumstances, we do our best to help but in order to issue refunds, we must get approval from both the hotel and our hotel partner. I have shared your experience with our customer service team so we can look into this further. If you’d like more help with your reservation, please feel free to contact our escalations team at support@reservationcounter.com.

Total scam job on my mom... literally ripped her off and then laughed at us when I requested it to be fixed. Do not use them... do not trust what they say... go anywhere but here... you will pay more and they will scam you into something you do not want and they do not care... they are a numbers business they can scam 25 percent of us the other 75 pay more than doing directly to the hotel... I hope this can help before you go through with anything...

I'm still not sure how reservation counter even showed up, but they presented themselves as the actual hotel reservation website. I don't know if they have actually done anything other than take my 17.00 service charge - for what?
As far as I'm concerned this organization is a complete hoax and should be both shutdown and taken to court over all the money they have fleeced from customers.
Thanks for your review and feedback, Edwin. Like many booking agencies, we charge a service fee so we can provide 24/7 customer support. Agent told multiple lies about the location of the property and the quality of the facility. I have nothing positive to say about the facility and refused to stay. Not interested in staying at a motel with open drug use happening in the common areas.
Reservation Counter deserves a negative 5 star rating.

I booked through this company, thinking that they were the hotel, since I had typed in "Hilton". When I asked, they mumbled that they were the hotel. I asked them to check on the date of the reservation I had already made. They told me that I had no reservation, and said they could book me one right away - free shuttle and free breakfast. SINCE I WAS FLYING THE NEXT DAY, I booked - at double the price I was quoted before. When I got to the hotel, the front desk wondered why I had 2 rooms booked. I canceled the Reservation Counter booking and stuck with the one I had originally booked - the one that Reservation Counter said didn't exist. There also was no free shuttle, and no free breakfast. This company is a sham and a disgrace. They misrepresented themselves, and lied straight out! Do NOT book with them - you can do better with anyone else! Their Yelp rating is 1 star!

Site is very decieving. I thought I was on the Hampton Inn site for reserving a room and it was Reservation Counter. I called and asked for a receipt and they could not provide a PDF copy with their company name on it. They also kept me on hold for over half an hour. I also got an offshore location. When I pressed them, they were of no help.
I do not recommend Reservation Counter. Their was no discount. They are deceptive regarding their web site. I suspect this is their strategy. Very frustrating. Stay clear of this company based in Utah. The number on the website is wrong and misleading. Unethical company, making a quick buck.

This website customer service reps. Will lie, double charge, accomodations will not be what you want or need and you will have to fight to get your money refunded to your charge card. The reps are horrible. They also added on fee to your charge card that you never authorized. When you call to speak with a supervisor you will find out that everyone is a supervisor and you can never speak to the same one twice. The worst experience in my entire 40 years of traveling and making hotel reservations. I've had to dispute the charges with credit card company because reservation counters will not assist in recovering money from illegal charges and double booking fees. PLEASE BEWARE! CHECK REVIEWS BEFORE USING SITE!

Absolutely horrible company! They hijacked my phone call (called the hotel phone number- they somehow got ahold of my call- never identified themselves and took my reservation). The hotel didn't have our reservation- it was a total nightmare! We tried to get our money back and they refused. Avoid these scam artists like the plague!

While on marriott.com I selected button to make reservation. I was switched to Res. Count. Without any notice that I was leaving Marriott site. I made reservation for $359. When checking Marriott's site, a few days later, the rate for the room I booked was $185. When I contacted Reservation Counter to discuss they basically laughed at me (both a customer service rep and a manager).
Paul, I'm sorry for any confusion between us and the hotel. Our rates are constantly changing and can be lower or higher depending on when the room is booked. They lied to me about what type of room they reserved for me. I had to come out $280 to get an other room. They have ZFG's on helping resolve this finical burden their employee caused my family. 4 adults, a 15 year old, 10 year old and a 5 year old in a room with a King bed and double sofa. Way to go!

We leave tomorrow for a family vacation. When I made reservations I clearly spoke with representative that a third bed would be needed. We are traveling with 6 people, 4 teenagers. I was promised a bigger room and the ability for a third bed to be brought in. Called the actual hotel today to confirm to be told they don't have beds nor the room for a third bed to be brought in. So here we are the night before our trip and not a big enough room to sleep 6. Reservation counter was nice enough to book us a second room currently at no discount and a sorry for our mistake. Starting our vacation off on a really bad foot and very upsetting.
Heather, I'm sorry about your experience and I can imagine you frustration with this happening the night before your vacation. I will share your feedback with our customer service manager. Please feel free to contact our escalations team at support@reservationcounter.com if you need anything else.

First off, when they answered the phone it sounded mumbled and asked if this was Marriott, the guy on the other end said yes so we started the process, booked my room for 2 nights and I asked about a discount thru my Marriott rewards or thru the teamsters that I always get at this hotel. He said theteamsters discount would be better for me but it would have to be added at the hotel. I was given the price and again asked about the teamsters discount, he said after the discount and taxes and fees it would be $202/ night, and he assured me that my card would not be charged until checking and that it was only a hold placed on my card. The next lie asked if the pool was fixed because it was out of service last year, and he said yes, they were able to get the part over the winter and it's all fixed. So I just checked in, and co.e to find out, the 2 night stay was already charged to me credit card for $664 and that he also chose a more expensive package that included breakfast! This is compete and utter bull crap, to be lied to over and over just to make the reservation, and now to top it off, I have been on hold with your customer service currently at 1 hour and 7 minutes. This needs fixed immediately, you, if the phone calls truly are recorded you need to listen to the constant lies he was spewing 1 after another!

Answer: Trying to cancel a reservation, the rote voice said it did not recognize the phone number, even though it was the same phone I used to make the reservation. Then asked if the reservation confirmation number started with an R. I said No. It asked me several more times. I kept answering No. Then it told me to call the hotel for help and hung up. Called the hotel. They said they could not cancel since the reservation was made through a third-party company. That I would have to cancel through ReservationCounter. (Oh, by the way, I had tried to use the online Cancellation page - it doesn't work.) It was very difficult to get through to anybody and there were very long waits in between. I will never use this company again.
