I have placed countless orders with Signs.com and always recommended them to friends and family over the years. Unfortunately, the last order was an absolute disaster and they demonstrated a complete lack of customer service. They send me an order in pieces and expected me to overlay it perfectly together, instead of overlaying it themselves and sending me a completed product. What's worse is they were completely unwilling to make it right, absolutely zero concern for the customer or the business relationship. What a shame.
Signs.com sent me boat decals rather than boat lettering and were unwilling to make it right. After an hour conversation, where I showed them that when you upload an image the website would switch from boat lettering to boat decal without an alert, I received a call back from a manager telling me that they would credit my account 30%. 7 days later, nothing is in my account and I am receiving no email responses. I was not happy with a 30% credit to my account but felt I had no additional recourse. The worst part for them is that I have spent thousands of dollars with signs.com and rather than have a happy customer and a loss on a 200 dollar job they have lost a customer that will make sure people think twice before using them.
Although I like the product, I do not like dealing with customer service. I placed an order in March 2023 and received a discount code, which there was no place to plug in on the order. I sent them an email asking how to plug it in, but never received an answer so I placed the order. I just needed to do another order (just 1 month later) and I spent over an hour on the phone with them trying to get them to take the discount code, but they say it has expired so they will not honor it. The job they do is nice, but don't expect them to stand by their word to give any discounts that you are promised. Next time I will take my business elsewhere.
Horrible customer service – will NEVER them again, someone made a typeo on the banner I don't believe I did, I requested a copy of the proof - They didn't have one and couldn't provide a proof to sign off - When I asked why they said I used their template so no proof required - BS
Rep would not re make sign, wanted me to ship it back and would give me a credit? Went and used halfpricebanners
Signs.com acknowledged that they made an error but refused take responsibility and issue a refund, offering only a $26 credit on a $130 order. It took five contact attempts - three messages that went unanswered and two chats that they did respond to - to get even that.
Two orders from signs.com. Order one was a boat decal in Navy Blue which turned out fine. Order two was boat lettering and a cutout of the decal using their designer, which went wrong.
Told the designer to use the file and color from the decal as a reference. They said no problem, go the job done, and delivered it. The delivered product was not the same color as the reference design (Navy Blue).
I shared my emails with the designer and pictures of the finished product. Signs.com said they offer decals in any color but lettering in only a smaller selection of colors and that my chosen color was not among them.
They didn't bother to tell me this and just printed the job in a color they felt was closest (and it wasn't close). I pointed out that they should have informed me that they couldn't follow my directions and they said - yeah it would have been better if we talked with you before running the job so how about a $26 credit off your (unusable) $130 job? I said no thanks, how about I never buy from you again and leave an honest review.
Here's that review. Decide if you want to work with a printing company that doesn't stand behind their work.
Over the past couple weeks, I have been on the live chat with multiple different representatives.I submitted a design that got flagged for not meeting requirements and when I went back to my design, I found none of the issues that they raised. The lettering must be a minimum of 1/2" tall whereas mine are 3/4" tall. The line strokes must be a minimum of.0375" thick whereas mine are over twice as thick as their minimum requirement. When communicating this issue to a representative for over an hour, they abruptly closed the chat window without any kind of suggestion or resolution to the "issues" that they raised. The representatives' name was Ivan Khile and I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from him.
I have been using Signs.com since the day I opened up my business. They have made some great prints and other ones terrible. I had to throw away a couple of them; in specific an 80" x 16" Acrylic Sign, which they printed the colors of my logo (which was the only thing printed on the sign) incorrect. They later sent me one free of charge that was completely distorted and had to throw that one away as well. That was a cost of $192.65. Was one of my favorites, but now I will make sure to write this review everywhere. I had to also print the small logo for my door front 3 times for them to get it right, and I paid 2 out of those 3.
I ordered an initial acrylic sign and was provided high resolution files by our graphic designer. However one of the files didn't appear to be high resolution enough and unfortunately the online software that you use through this company to put in an order does not have any safeguards to catch this. In addition, they're printing team does not pay attention to the quality of their work and let pixelated items go out the door without checking with customers. $140 down the drain, and they take no responsibility. Was getting ready to do a bunch of other locations, but we'll leave negative reviews now and spend the money elsewhere. Terrible company, and terrible customer service.
Do not expect any type of real support or professionalism from their production side.
I really should have paid attention to the three stars. I'd still give 1 star for the impeccable customer service that I received from Shaun although his supervisor wouldn't give him the authority to make things right. Yes, I was offered a reprint of the banner and a $50 credit, but that doesn't fix the damage. Imagine being 17 years old, a senior literally playing the last game of your high school career, for some it is the last game of their lives. It is senior night, you are playing your rival school on your home field. It is half time and the breakaway banner that you've been pumped to run through is... wait, no banner. The wrong one was sent and there is no next year for you. Going into the 2nd half you were 14-7, the cheer team didn't make a banner because they thought one was purchased. The opposing team runs onto the field with their makeshift banner pumped and takes the game 14-21, but we don't have to imagine this, because this happened to us. The banner was late, but that is okay I paid extra for 2-day shipping to ensure I had it in time. The problem is I also Coach youth soccer and because the banner came late I didn't get a chance with Senior night happenings and coaching to look at it. I expected that it was right, and I suppose that was my fault. Here I open the banner the morning of the game and find a Purina dog food Pets and Vets banner. I offered to ship the banner I received if they would send me a label. My banner should have been printed and should still be able to be fulfilled. Of course, I have to refund my senior parents who will not be getting a chance to see this, also I now have to pay to discard this incorrect shipment and absolutely expected more than a $50 credit. The great thing is I have a lot of connections and unfortunately I and those connections will be taking our business somewhere else I absolutely suggest you do too. I really hope that Shaun finds himself a position in a company that cares about their business and what it means to the person ordering.
The company tried to tell me the file that I sent was too low in resolution. That was a garbage excuse. They printed at what looks like 72 DPI on a file that was sent at 300 DPI. $200 down the drain. Their prices are cheaper for a reason. Their quality is very poor for sure. Shop elsewhere. I searched for the best price and believe me, I got what I paid for. They were about half the cost of other companies... I should have know that half the quality was coming. I work in an art department. I know resolution of files better than most. They did not print what was sent.
I ordered a "Giant Check" from Signs.com. The process was easy, the quality was great but the border came in the wrong color. After speaking with a Customer Service Representative, she re-ordered the check free of charge. We should be receiving it next week and I am hoping it will be corrected.
We needed enlarged prints mounted on foam board for a family memorial service. Set-up online was a breeze, the delivery options were easily managed and they arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. They were a perfect part of our service. The price was reasonable for the quality and speed, less than $40 per 18 x 24" print. My only small complaint is they stuck a QR code label on the face of each print. They peeled off easily enough and did not appear to leave any residue but these could have been placed on the backside.
Buyer beware, will not stand behind their products. We bought 6 teardrop banners ($1,800+). Assembled 1 and put it out on a Friday afternoon. Monday morning one of the poles broke at the metal joint - clearly defective. Contacted their assistance team and was told there was no warranty on the hardware. Only if it was damaged in shipping. Clearly a defective product with no support. Very disappointed because their actual printing is good and we have used them a lot.
Received unprofessional, pixelated signs that are not usuable. Company has not replied to any of the three emails we sent over the course of a week.
There was a time when Signs.com was the perfect example of an customer oriented company with a strong emphasis on quality and customer satisfaction. Unfortunately those days are long gone due to the following reasons:
1. Their "updated" user interface is cumbersome and not user friendly at all. Not to mention that it chokes and takes forever to load anything.
2. Their customer service team now takes in excess of an hour or more to get a hold of anyone and their design staff sometimes takes days to provide a response.
3. Their quality of their banners is non-existent as their banners tear after one use.
4. They no longer stand behind their products and instead attempt to do everything that they can to avoid making their wrongs right. Example: I ordered a banner well ahead of our scheduled event due to the fact that their website stated that there would be delays in production and shipping due to staffing shortages. I received my banner and everything looked fine so I rolled it up and put it back into the box to store until our event. A few months later, I took the banner out of the box and hung it during our event at which time the grommets came out and tore the banner. I then called customer service and spoke to a representative (after an excessive hold time) about what had transpired and was told that they will only warranty their products for 30 days. I then explained that I ordered the banner early because of their messaging on their website and stored it in the box the whole time until the event (using it literally only once). They agreed that it was unacceptable and then attempted to offer me a credit of half the amount of the purchase to go towards a future purchase instead of reprinting the banner that tore after a single use... RIDICULOUS... Our team has always used Signs.com in the past but we will be switching vendors for our banner needs moving forward.
MAJOR PRINTING ERRORS AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'm a designer with many years of sign and printing experience and I have never received customer service as bad as this.
I placed a signage order specifying ink colors with expedited shipping. I even sent an additional email confirmation of these specs to Cid Marian Floralde. The signs arrived with the colors being the opposite of what I specified. Cid said they would reprint. They then arrived again a week later (way past the original deadline that I paid expedited shipping for) with only 3 signs out of the 12 signs that needed to be reprinted. I emailed Cid Marian Floralde 4 times over the course of 4 weeks and received no response. I called customer service and they assured me the signs were coming. 2 weeks later and I still haven't received the signs.
We have received a sign that didn't match our file four times now. I tried for two months to get the correct sign, which signs.com has printed for us before. Not once have I been able to work with the same representative. No one in the company responds to emails. Wrong colors on the signs. Pixelated images for the logo. They send a pic of the proof, the sign shows up and looks nothing like the proof. It seems that no one looks at the sign before dropping in the mail. They changed the colors of the logo, when I let them know, the response is, did you want a transparent sign? But I never mentioned a transparent sign, only that the letters were supposed to be white, but they were printed in blue. Again, they have printed this file in the past. This was a horrible horrible experience and we will not use signs.com again.
I ordered with expedited one day delivery. One week later still no order received. Waited on hold for half an hour for someone to even answer the phone, when they did all she could do was to refund the expedited shipping fee but even she could not get a response from the production people on why the order was not yet filled and when I could expect it. I then sent an email to customer service and now almost 24 hours later have not heard back from them.
They no longer have design services, sadly, but the phone rep was incredibly helpful with the basic look of my sign. She even went in and created a variation, so all I had to do was select the one I wanted. It came fast and was exactly what I needed.
Answer: It's a very easy to use site with many option to create the product you want. A minimal amount of time occurred before the product was received (about 5 business days).
Answer: You can usually reach somebody via the chat messenger, but it isn't the most useful in terms of the quality of the customer service rep on the other end.
Answer: It's a real company, but their value in terms of production and customer service are extremely suspect.
