Im really pissed off that they cant ship heaphones in 3 days. Its been 5 bussines days and they still didnt ship. I never in my life waited so long for something to ship. It shouldnt take more then 1-2 days. Im really pissed off.
I purchased the arctis 9 headphones for my son and within a few months, they weren't working properly. I contacted customer service, who asked me for an excessive amount of information and wanted me to jump through hoops just to get them replaced when they were supposed to be under warranty. Needless to say, I never received a replacement and now I'm just out the $250 I spent. Horrible service
I emailed them to see what could be done but in the end waste of time broken after warranty expired.
I bought a steel series wired headset.
Within a year the cable broke, rendering the wired headphones useless
A replacement wire is 11$ on their website, okay not great, but not too bad
Shipping is $40!
With tax that's $54 to replace my a single wire
The wire weighs only 25 grams
$40 to ship a 25 gram cord is outrageous
First they cheap out on the cord with a cheap supplier, causing it to stop working way way to soon.
And then screw you with the replacement.
To compare I have a wired headset from the 1990s that have been used for well over 20 years and it's good.
Steel series low quality wire didn't even last a year.
The cost of a brand new headset with a wire is 90$!
Over half the cost just to replace a cord that should have lasted longer
When a company sells a product, that fails in less than a year, then charges you over half the cost of a brand new one.
Something is wrong, SteelSeries the company should really step back and re evaluate their products
They should stop spending so much on sponsors and invest in their actual products that their customers use.
It's insulting they want to charge so much to replace a 25 gram wire.
I am not the only one this has effected.
Last steel series I or anyone I used to recommend their way will buy steelseries
Steel series GG software is total garbage. It does not work and it crashes your PC. Their cases are cheaply made of thin metal. The edges are typically very sharp. I would avoid Steel Series at all costs.
This brand can be called Sh*tseries, I had too many kinzu mouses from them coz I loved how they fit my hand, all was broken after some time. Now, I bought aerox3, it worked for 2 months, then, I clicked few times on the button that changes sensitivity and it's totally broken, it randomly changes sensitivity now and also randomly changes colors, doesn't go smoothly. Broken brand these misfits
I had a arctis pro and legit had nothing but problems with it. Whether that be from the design flaw ridden hinges or their awful software that would brick my headset and make my gamedac legit unusable. Prior to my most recent interaction with their support team, their warranty process was great in dealing with their god awful manufacturing/app problems. I legit had to get new 2 new headsets under warranty for reasons stated prior. As I said it WAS great until my most recent interaction with them where they would now not honor their warranty. Now i got another broken headset that once again broke at the earcup hinge. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM STEELSERIES, I BEG EVERYONE WHO READS THIS.
I have two Steel series products. A wireless mouse and the wireless headset. Ive also had a wireless logitech mouse and logitech headset. Logitech all the way without a doubt I havent had any problems with logitech at all sounds amazing and does what its supposed to do. Steel series on the other hand the headphones managed to snap purely from just putting them on, before the right ear piece cracked and became very loose. The surround sound is so garbage (when I switched back to logitech the surround sound was heaven). Theyre also like having mini microwaves on your ears and eventually hurting your head. No idea how this got released to public they are cheap $#*! upmarked by brand. Secondly the mouse grip pads that go on the sides go under the mouse for no fcking reason but pre much the $#*! glue will melt and then as your playing a game they will half fly off and really just annoy you at the worst times. Then for some reason holding right click only sometimes works which can be really stressful when every single game I play requires you to ads, I don't rage in games usually just get off when Im not enjoying the game I have never thrown my gear around and have only every had these problems with the 2 steel series things I bought, But when your enjoying the game and the right click decides to finally $#*!ing ruin your day for the last time and you rip the fcking mouse to parts, you realise that the products just pure $#*!. Steel series made me a Karen.
I got a steel series arctic 9x wireless headset from GameStop for my birthday present, to use with my Xbox series x. After a little over a year and a half BOTH ear cups have dislocated from the headset and the PLASTIC HINGES have broken. You read that right, my $300 headset is held together using plastic, that is the part that captures the rod the ear cup's rotate around. So I google the issue, turns out I'm not the only one (shocker) apparently this is a well know and common issue, and everyone's mad. I feel scammed for a nearly $300 pair of headphones breaking like this before 2 years.
I contacted customer service and they basically said, we don't care it's out of warranty. I explained the design flaw issue and that they needed to do better, I explained how I took care of them and how that sat on a stand when not in use on my desk. I was told about their brand new headset which is "built more sturdily". Great, thanks for telling me you sold me an expensive product that broke due to poor design, but good news, I can spend another $300 on one of their new products which is designed better…. They offered me a 15% discount which is a joke because they offer 10% off for anyone who signs up for emails, or a student discount of 15%.
This company and it's customer service receive a big fat F rating from me.
First off, I want to say Thank you to SteelSeries as a company in whole. I know that they are always trying to put out great devices and products, and sometimes things go sour.
I've bought a few products since THE MERC! (Best keyboard ever)
Around 2 years ago, it took FOREVER TO GET A RESPONSE. It would be a response AT BEST every couple of days. I did get an answer, but it was paintfully slow.
Well it's been a couple of years and I had another issue that required two parts of attention. One, tracking never was confirmed, and two, the device had an issue 2 months in.
Well, SteelSeries not only did you answer me insanely fast on both occassions, but you did right by me, the customer.
THANK YOU for that. These mice are the best mice on the market in my opinion, while higher priced than I'd like to admit, and I didn't love a break early, I still stand by them and the service to get me help.
I went a little nuts and bought an entire setup from SteelSeries after seeing all the awesome awards and reviews on Amazon and Best Buy.
The keyboard Apex 7 and headset Arctis 7+ are absolutely AWESOME. Customize them on their own software pretty easily. Decently user-intuitive but not completely.
I had an issue with the mouse - and within 1 week got the issue resolved and completed the warranty process.
I personally recommend!
I placed an order for arctis pro and separately gamedec.
Then i saw that the bundle was about 50 Euros cheaper.
I asked them to reduce the price of the order or alternatively to cancel the order.
With the customer center it was not possible to cancel it myself.
But they don't reduce the price nor they canceled the order. Instead they shipped.
This company cheats its customers.
Warnung not to place any order!
Best headset I ever had, you can hear the game absolutely amazingly. And from my friends and twitch followers ttv-optionz on twitch, said that they can hear EVERYTHING. Very comfortable headset as well.
This company's products will install drivers automatically when you plug in their devices that allow them to download and open executable files on your computer without your consent. If you value your privacy and security at all, stay far away from anything these scumbags make.
I purchased my arctis 9x in October of 2020. In early march of 2021, it began to just fall apart. Pieces of plastic began to snap off until both ear muffs fell off and the headset became unusable. I contacted support that very day, and completed the rma process. I never got received another headset and to this day they continue to say that the have no record of it and just tell me to do the rma again even though they know damn well that it's now been over a year which means it's past warrantee. Terrible customer support. Possibly the worst I've ever experienced. There isn't even a way to call them either. Just utterly awful. Don't buy from this company.
Microphone disconnects constantly, customer service is impossible to get ahold of. Tried to get a warranty replacement, but they took 3 months to respond(15+ emails to get to the actual point of a replacement) and I was out of warranty. Will not be buying from this company again.
I went through their warranty process. By then, the Arctic 9 wireless was out of stock and months later it's still out of stock. It's available elsewhere but Steelseries won't refund- they tell me to either wait till they've got it in stock or buy a different one. None of their others have the features I purchased for. They have since ignored my emails for months.
Ordered direct from steelseries for Christmas present, the headphones are faulty and 2 weeks in still being provided with Windows 10 instructions even I've clearly mentioned PS4 numerous times.
I'm an IT professional and know what I'm doing with headphones - I am just looking to get a refund. Wish me luck
Avoid frustration and don't by any of their headsets. After multiple weeks of a failed headset less than a year old they will not replace or write back. They agreed there was something wrong and give you an option to mail or destroy. I chose destroy to save time. They did not like the pictures I provided and therefore will not replace the headset. I asked my claim to be moved up to a supervisor and that was the last I heard from anyone. Tried to contact them two more times and still no reply. Save your money and aggravation for a faulty product, I went back to Turtle Beach. Hear is my name SteelSeries, you have my information not that you care.

Read several or articles staying they we're the best, they are far from it. Huge product issues, so much Bluetooth interference it isn't usable, was given a product replacement code for a lesser product that might work but 4 months later still no stock and refuse a refund even though their product doesn't work. Money down the drain at this point
