I definitely have had several Negative Experiences. Both In The Store as well as Via The Telephonoe. The Only Reason We continue to Shop Here is because They have items My Children really like. I have 2 (two) Letters that I have sent to Corporate within the last 6 Months if anybody is interested in Reviewing Them.
Horrible experience, horrible customer service. I ordered a green jacket at the end of January. About two weeks later I received the jacket in the mail, but Tilly's had sent the wrong color (their error). When I called customer service to request the correct color, rather than ship out the correct one immediately, they refused to ship it out to me until they received the incorrect jacket back. Their shipping services take forever, and it took almost 2.5 weeks just for the jacket to get back to them (I am on the east coast and they are located on the west coast). Then I had to contact them AGAIN to inquire about get the correct jacket shipped to me. Their customer service basically ignored my inquiry and gave me the standard, pre-recorded answer which was that it would take 5-8 days for an exchange to be placed and then shipped. I was very frustrated at this point and emailed them to ask for a refund instead, since this whole thing was caused by their error in the first place and it was ridiculous that it was now over a month later and I did not have the jacket. They ignored my request for a refund and instead just shipped the jacket. It is now March 11th, nearly 6 weeks later, and I finally received the correct jacket in the mail. I will never shop with them again.
Worst customer service ever! The kicker is I work in Customer Service for a well known apparel retailer as well, so I know for a fact how horrible it is. Not only that but the hidden fees for shipping and the refusal for wiggle room. You end up paying more for a return or exchange and end up not getting an item at all. They do nothing to keep a customer loyal and satisfied. Waste of time! Waste of money! Waste of breath. Even the supervisor uses the same scripted explanation. Its actually kind of funny. Yeah that's right I called corporate to complain and even they didn't give a $#*!. They redirected to me to the source of all my problems. A three ring circus! Ahaha NEVER AGAIN. Go to Tillys stores and special order from there. Ironically the customer service is better there.Don't shop ONLINE!
This is the worst on-line merchant with the most horrible CS EVER! I ordered a Chant on 8/10/13 received it 8/20/13 (okay they are West Coast, I am East Coast so give them the benefit of the doubt). It was defective so I returned it the same day I received it. ONE MONTH later I have no Chant, no refund and when I contact CS they just keep reading me a script about their return policy (which sucks BTW). Where is my merchandise? Where is my refund (if you get your act together enough to realize I have requested a refund rather than go through this BS again)? I order from on-line merchants all the time and I can tell you even if it is across the country, it works a heck of a lot better than THIS! L-A-M-E
Placed an order and noticed I had an old shipping address. I emailed them instantly and they refused to change the shipping address. I never received my order and they refused to refund me $21. Horrible customer service.
BEWARE! They require signatures for deliveries and if you aren't there, you can't schedule it for a convenient time for you through fedex and if you don't catch them you have to go pick up your package far from your home. They won't even leave it at a fedex near your house.
I fell in love with about every bathingsuite from this website, HOWEVER, I will NOT be ordering from this site again. I ordered a swim top and bottoms, and recieved it a week later in the mail not only to find that the bottoms were way too small, but that they had charged me twice for my order. The bottoms not fitting me were my fault, but the $66 order was now a $132 order. After days of calling and searching I finally got the money straightened out. I filled out paperwork to exchange the bottoms for a bigger size and sent the package back. A month later I decided to call because i hadnt seen or heard anything from them. The operator told me they were backed up and i'd recieve an email soon. Sure enough the next day i recieved an email saying they didnt have any more of the item left and said that i was refunded $13. Where did my money go? I spent $20 on the bottoms but only got $13 back? So basically the top i bought was a whoping $53. Rediculous. I would stay away from this site. I certianly will be.
I am so frustrated with this site, I ordered a pair of women's vans sneakers. I am in NZ but we don't have half sizes in vans which is what I needed so thought I was buying from a reliable site. A few months later my vans are falling apart, I have emailed several times with no response at all, so rude and obviously don't give a hoot about their customer service. Money down the drain, won't be returning here ever!
I moved and no longer live near a Tillys store. So I thought purchasing from the site would have to do for the time being. I maybe buy 4-5 things a year from Tillys. Well that's not going to continue because their online live chat and phone support really sucks. Any time a guy answers the phone they are stupid and not helpful at all. Whenever I try to do an exchange or a return by mail, it takes like 2 weeks to ship back to them because of THEIR prepaid shipping service being terrible and slow. I tried to return an item and just 2 days after I got it, by mail, and then do an exchange. Well while waiting for my package to get back to them, the coupon code expired and I called them twice about it and they basically said "sorry, tough $#*!" and didn't care at all to compensate for it, not even offering free shipping or anything. Just total bull$#*! service. They play dumb about everything, and act like they can't help you. DON'T CALL THEM, JUST GO INTO THE STORE, OR JUST DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE SINCE YOU CAN FIND MOST OF THEIR BRANDS ELSEWHERE. Because if you have to return or exchange something it's going to be a huge pain in the $#*!. They also have a 30 day return policy but that DOES NOT ACCOUNT FOR SHIPPING TIME. So there's another reason you get screwed. I only had a jacket for 2 weeks, it took a week to get here and over a week to get back. So instead of giving a refund, they act like you can only get store credit which is then mailed to you in the form of a crappy giftcard. SCAMMERS. The employees are idiots and the companies policies are sketchy. I used to like this store when I didn't have to deal with the customer service, but finding out how the store is run on the inside really changes your overall opinion of the place. For someone like me who buys things online a lot, I am grateful for companies like Zappos, who make customer service most important above all else. Not Tillys though. They are terrible and seem to be run by a bunch of greedy lazy teenagers. DON'T BUY FROM THEM JUST GET THEIR STUFF FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE. NO WHERE COULD HAVE AS BAD RETURN POLICIES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE AS THEM. $#*!TY SERVICE RUINS A STORE WITH DECENT PRODUCTS.
Return process is terrible! Its been 3 weeks. All Tillys customer service can tell me is that I returned the item. Not where the item is, if its been processed, if its on its way back to me, a tracking number or when I can expect it. This was a Xmas gift. I left a month for processing and I doubt Ill get it in time. The kicker is when I addressed the lack of customer service with the rep I was chatting with he "Ended Chat". Absolutely Terrible customer service. First and last time shopping at Tillys.!
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? I ordered a XL fake leather jacket and just opened the box to an XS! Made in China, by the Chinese... for the Chinese! If you're a Pygmee or a Lilitputian it will fit you just fine but I'm a 38DD with a flat waist and I can't even close this thing! On top of that I have skinny arms and the sleeves are so tight wearing it would be impossible even if I could fit my rack inside! On top of that the beautiful brown is a hideous dark gold. STAY AWAY FROM TILLYS! The clothes look nothing like the photos. No wonder they prohibit reviews. NEVER AGAIN! Wish I could it give it minus a thousand stars!
Shipping was delayed, had to call in order to get my items shipped. Items arrived damaged. Will never order from there again. Their clothes are cute, but that was ridiculous.

I recently confirmed a fraudulent charge made on my credit card at Tillys' website and, when I asked for the name and/or address of the purchaser, I was told that they will not give out any information, including even confirming where the merchandise was sent, as a "matter of policy, because of potential liability." Apparently, Tillys is more worried about "potential liability" to a thief than it is worried about potential liability to a legitimate credit card holder. IF YOU VALUE THE SANCTITY OF YOUR IDENTITY, DON'T SHOP THERE.
I really love this site. They have a variety of things on here and if you check the sales, you'll find great prices on items that you couldn't find cheaper anywhere else. So I ordered a pair of shoes, the shipping was an average wait. They didn't come early but it came on the estimated arrival date so that was okay AND my it was packaged nicely so I really liked that. I'll definitely order from Tillys again.
I like Tillys because they have some awesome jewelry... and lots of it! They also have a huge variety of different styles of clothes for women, men, boys, and girls. Great prices as well. I have ordered off here a couple times with no problems. I like to check out the sale items. They also have a live help section and a blog.
Answer: NO! I can't speak for the swimming suits, but I purchased a pair of shoes that turned yellow from some cheap glue or chemical used to make the shoes and they would not refund my money. Bought them knowing I shouldn't, because my sister bought a sweatshirt over this last winter that fell apart after the first wash and they wouldn't refund her money either. Both times we were told we shouldn't have washed the Garment. Who doesn't wash their clothing? When I washed my shoes I washed them on delicate, cold water, with a couple of towels and let them air-dry but they stained yellow all over from some ingredient in the fabric or glue.
