You should be really careful and watch out for scam profiles on the Tinder app!
It was working fine on my android phone and then it started asking me to sign in with my facebook account - and no matter what I do, it says its wrong
Anybody else see this happen?
I don't have much negative to say about Tinder only I'm more oriented towards dating Asian women so I just didn't find enough of my taste on there. Otherwise it is a good page.
I am not too fond of it since it is not interactive. I use http://www.matchmate.ca or meetingle.com which are similar but easier to use
This is a TOTAL SCAM... and a potentially DANGEROUS one at that.
If perchance you ever managed to date one of these 'things' you would almost certainly be with a Man - a transvestite, she-male, sex-change artist or other such PERVERT.
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should anyone pay for this 'service' or think about meeting anyone on Tinder or POF or Zoosk (which is probably the worst of all). The same FAKE WOMEN profiles inhabit all three of these site, and many appear to be created by the sites to ensnare the innocent and in some cases buy gifts for these non-existent 'women'. Most are American, but provide fictitious addresses nearer to you.
I can only hope people read this review before signing up for any of them!
Stay well clear from all of them... meet women the old fashioned way, down the pub or club.
The idea of tinder is basically a game of "would bang?" based on looks. Many users don't have a bio and it's easy to get into a mindless groove of left-swiping.
It gets worse.
They added in-app ads that came up as "profiles" every so often. I got to swipe Jason Derulo and his new song left.
Maybe it's my location, whatever, but I'm pretty sure I've swiped through everyone in my city. I started to get weird out-of-state profiles, or someone who was 300 miles away but "swiping in your city!"
Also.
SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAMMY PROFILES EVERYWHERE. 90% of my 10 matches were "hi Ian, I'm looking for local singles to have crazy sex with something something spam spam spam oh here's a URL." Or girls who were obviously "too good to be true" would have a few nice pictures but either the last picture or their whole bio was only their Instagram or snapchat handles. SPAM SPAM EVERYWHERE.
**ProTip: sneaky spam sometimes disguises itself with an intro along the lines of "I'm new to tinder and not really sure what to expect." Or it'll say "message me on here" which isn't an option unless you're swiped right too (which you won't be).
90% of the women that had profiles have blonde hair,,, yeah right. Looks like the person setting up profiles like blonde hair. Also they all like the same things. Way to many similarities in each app to be real and then once in a while youll get a hit and then you will never hear from them again, dont waste your time because that is all it is.
This is a good app. Easy to use. Sometimes I don't get notifications for messages and location takes time to update, but I like the app.
I tried this app for something better but unfortunately nothing received the site is full of fake users and spammers.
As a developer who frequently works with dating sites and apps I have to commend Tinder for creating a mini-revolution. Everyone uses it nowadays, and that's an achivement, so there's that. However, as with all thing online dating, the app is plagued by the same age-old problem - fake profiles. So don't count on Tinder to help you find a proper partner. The actual selections will not be that different (but more limited) than in a local pub down the road.
It's cool that you can only get into contact with people you've "like" and that "like" you as well. It's a bit annoying that you can't go back and "like" someone you've swiped left to. I wouldn't expect to get too much out of the app since there are a lot of people looking to just hook-up but there is the opportunity to make new friends and possible relationships.
Sign up can be as simple as linking to your Facebook profile or as complicated as hand-entering all your info (which can be quickly tedious on a touchscreen keyboard)... from there it's just swiping pictures left or right depending on whether or not your find someone's pictures attractive.
That's it.
If you both liked each other, you can switch over to messaging and creating "moments" via whatever camera your device has. Since pretty much every touchscreen phone or tablet has one nowadays, you'll be off to the meat market in no time.
For those of you stuck at the "finding people in your area" screen, make sure you've given permission to your Kindle to find your location in Settings. You'll be stuck at the opening screen until you do that.
The idea of Tinder is amazing. The concept is simply great! But the app is full of fake accounts.
I like this because it's free. My chat keeps locking up though lately which sucks.
Way too many fake accounts (read escorts, etc). I don't like Tinder one bit. Sorry.
Complete waste of time. Full of scammers and escorts. Sure, there are real people on there too (for now), but they are mostly just interested in chatting, and the ones that do supposedly want to meet up lie on their profile and are flaky as $#*!. On top of that their UI sucks. OKCupid beats them at their own silly swipe game, and offers a lot more info to go on than a few random photos that might not even be of the user.
Tinder fueled by a straightforward structure found on tinderfessions.com giving individuals the ability to impart their story namelessly. Tinder is such a basic site to utilize. Tinder is a 'dating application' for android, iphone and Windows telephones. Tinder meets expectations by joining your Tinder record to your Face book account, subsequently disposing of the shamelessness that causes a great part of the frightening.
Great dating site if you're looking to hook up with someone who lives near you, but the possibility of running into someone after a really bad date is just too high. Love the video introducing the app though.
Answer: 1 out of 1000 profiles may be real. I had one date, which was just one night stand and didn't go further on. But it took me so much time to get just a few replies. Then I thought that I should have some self-respect and stop losing my time. I joined a trusted site with profile verification and all that stuff https://j4l.com/402007 Things turned around for me there! I had several dates in one month and I found a woman I fell in love with! It's a matter of finding a dating site that verifies profiles and doesn't let scammers in.
Answer: Yeah, you advertise 55 billion profiles and there are only 8 billion people on the planet. You make the sad people want to kill themselves bc we can never find a date. Get rid of the fake profiles. Goodness you guys have been scamming the world for years.
Answer: Yes. It's a scam. I test the sites and write reviews... it's full of Snapchat subscription girls and catfish.
