-Format was horrible. All what I have been taught not to do, was in this CV: buzzwords, long summaries of 7+lines, unnecessary wording, not highlighting technical skills across my work experience.

Finally, the guy tries to pass the ATS and it completely failed relative to what I was asking for. I asked for a certain position tittle, the ATS highlighted all what I said I did not want to highlight. Plus no word of my skills.

Also the ATS experience did not add up to 100%, so I was missing some work experience. And no mention of my studies.

HORRIBLE!

I guess I had a very "smart" and lazy guy writing my CV and I hope TopCV solves this and compensates for the time lost in a correct manner.

This is getting even worse. I have been asking about this to their support team and I haven't got an update for 3 days.

As I investigated these guys have a bunch of people working from cheap countries (Vietnam.)..

TopCV does very good marketing of their services and would lure you into paying them for using their services. However, they deliver a poor quality service in the end and will not be able to fulfill your requirements. I paid and bought the services to write a CV and cover letter for me. They assigned a CV writer named Morgan to me. I clearly articulated all my requirements to him and what I expect as results of ATS report from the new CV. He developed the draft CV which looked ok to me. I rectified and collaborated with him on the final output. Finally, I asked him to deliver the ATS report to me. The report showed my role as a junior person instead of a leader. I reached out to Morgan to rectify the same. Initially, he responded by telling me that he would help me fix the issue but after a few days, he stopped responding and never delivered the corrected CV.

I would not recommend using TopCV services to anyone. They are expensive and deliver low-quality outputs which won't be able to meet your requirements. My advice is to go forward with some other service provider.

The biggest blunder is the non-availability of a person to whom you can provide your feedback in the end about the services delivered. They simply vanish.

From start to finish I knew this project was not going to be a waste of my money and my time. Furthermore and more importantly TopCV made me feel so relaxed while the professional team members did their work.

And so much respect is earned by the writers in the first place for drafting a CV from scratch. 5 Stars service. *****

I was miss-sold TopCV and encourage everyone considering the service to Google, 'TopCV is a scam'. I had a well written CV anyway, but was lured in by their promise to improve it's success rate with ATS systems within a specific industry. I also trusted their offer, since I came across it on The Guradian Jobs website. What they returned was laughable and the refund they agreed to pay me is yet to transpire weeks later... Here's a portion of one of their replies to one of the emails I was forced to send, questioning their integrity: '...since our system is a generalist ATS, you may find that the industry classifications are a little different from what you expected. Rest assured that our ATS is only one of many, so when you apply to jobs in your field, those companies will have specialized systems to ensure that they can properly identify and sort qualified job seekers like you. Our ATS determines your management score from your job titles so it is rare for this to change after a rewrite because your job titles won't have changed...'

If I could score them a 'zero', I would.

Don't waste your hard earned money with Top CV. All the positive reviews are not a reflection of the service I have had.

1. Draft cv arrived a day late. CC writer was rather casual with his task.I did mention that I have two job application with a deadline of 2nd and 4th December. There was no apology or explanation from the cv writer. He stated we have plenty of time.

1a. There is a 24 hour gap in getting a response. The reply is received at about 5am-5.30am. It appears the cv writer is not UK based and he has no idea of my current job responsibilities. He was not able to extract the essence of my current role even though it was detailed.

2.Questions to the cv writer, Amos were not answered till I pointer out the deficiencies.

2. The cv writer, Amos cannot ascertsin what I have achieved from each jobs I had even though it was spelled out.

3. 'We have found your perfect cv writer' as per the email. 'It's our privilege to work with you.'

4.The correspondence from Top CV is full of fancy words that do not aline with the draft cv and letter from the cv writer. It is obvious that that specific words have been choosen from the computer in drafting my letter. Here're the glaring mistakes.

I want my money back. I don't want to deal with Top CV. Top CV, they're not.

Unbelievably poor standard. Requested refund instantly on receiving first draft on 14th November.

Not only because of overblown David Brent style verbiage but in rewriting original copy the Top CV author confused job descriptions with the wrong roles/companies.

He even made a mess of 'Education' inserting "in" into degree: Top CV replaced 'B.A. Subject' with 'B.A. *in* Subject'.

Laughable if one weren't paying top dollar up front.

In my case £186:3 X £62 via PayPal. I offered to take a hit on the initial £62 just to avoid the draining back and forth. But to no avail.

Yesterday a week later they offered a 30% refund or a rewrite. £186 included cover letter and LinkedIn profile so not a refund at all given I only received CV and cover letter neither of which were of any use.

Hard to fathom the good reviews on here in light of my own experience. Must be a huge disparity in quality among their copywriters.

My advice to anyone considering Top CV is to use Fiverr where you are more likely to get a better result for a much lower price and can view what you're buying *before* releasing payment, i.e. "accept" on that platform.

On Fiverr you can communicate with the individual writing the document before ordering as opposed to Top CV which in effect is a portal for what would appear to be a highly divergent group of authors.

In that respect Top CV is no different to Fiverr only with Top CV you have no quality control, no idea of who will actually write the CV, yet pay far more.

The brand name fosters the illusion that you're dealing with a group of specialist copywriters. Nothing could be further from the truth judging by my experience and there are many more negative reviews on other boards. Avoid.

I expected to get better results than my original CV. On the contrary, the ATS scoring got worse and the writer twisted my experience into weird direction. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this service to anyone, it is total waste of money.

I paid for the full package (Order number *******), and what I got is fancy words and a summary of my CV that was published on a public CV on another CHEAP CV writing website. TopCV says that your CV will be written by someone from the same industry, and I assure you that the guy who wrote my CV knows nothing about the industry I work in, and he just added some fancy words. When I tried to contact them, nobody replied. I wasted almost $200 on that crap.

Short and precise work. However, initially it was not clear to me that the revision time for the draft/provision of the service has been limited to 1 week. In this light it was very disappointing that all the responses to revisional changes only came after (my) customers request...however, such responses always came shortly after request, even if the request was after a three day waiting period. All responses had a taste of AI and therefore, I am not sure, if the whole service is simply automated and completely processed by such an AI...e.g., response addressed me only by title, never by name...which felt really awkward and sloppy.
