The overall reputation of the company is largely negative, with customers expressing significant dissatisfaction with service quality and customer support. Common concerns include frequent technical issues, such as buffering and poor recording functionality, alongside frustrations over billing practices and lack of accessible customer service. While some users appreciate the channel lineup and cloud DVR capabilities, these positives are overshadowed by complaints about high costs and inadequate support. The prevalent sentiment suggests a need for the company to improve its customer service approach and address technical reliability to enhance user satisfaction.

System is poorly made and lacks customer support. Doesn't understand that Wi-Fi from different carriers come from different areas. Must have been designed by morons
Here's my experience in trying YouTube TV. I went on their website and entered my profile and was hoping to get a free trial of a week or more to try it. Instead upon entering my credit card and personal information I get 2 days.
I proceed to try and find how to set it up. I have 4 TV sets, some smart tvs and an one 10 year old tv. I try to find a video of article to help me in setting up YouTube TV. Nowhere on the website does it have simple instructions on how to do it on different tvs. It does have a list of tvs but not specific models nor does it tell how to do it. Do I use Roku or exactly how to set it up on 4 different tvs. Go to the community ….that takes a lot of wasted time and no real answer……go to Google and find a video…that results in a video that is over 2 years old and not that good. Frustration sets in. Now I look for Customer Service phone number. Hard to find and can't get any help there. By now I have spent most of the day and gotten nowhere.
So try to set it up with tv stations….can't seem to get that done. The opening of YouTube Tv is unreal no menu, no help. Sold a product with no instructions and no help.
How can a company who handles "how to videos" sell a product which does not have one?
Worst experience ever with no customer service.
The amount of on-demand commercials is truly ridiculous. They are 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes long. If you missed something by 10 seconds and want to go back and look at it, and happen to go into the commercial zone again, it makes you watch them all over again. Commercials start before you even start watching, then more a few minutes in and more after a small few second break. The commercials are very long and repeat the same ones over and over. You cannot fast forward or rewind the commercials. Extremely frustrating considering you are paying $75 per month!
I subscribed but when I unsubscribed, they have kept charging me monthly. My bank says they have had a lot of problems with them and the only way to fix it is to cancel my card. You also can't speak with anyone if you can find the number, which is difficult. The message you receive refers you to their website.
$#*! YouTube TV missed the last minute of Heat vs Miami Game, worst experience ever $60 monthly for this piece of $#*!
Cuts out at the most important times. End of playoff games, peak hours, football games. Always seems to cut off right when you want it most. Pathetic for $75/month
My disabled sister inadvertently subscribed to a 420.00 package because she didn't know how to operate the remote. I found this out when I could no longer get a tv lineup on that particular television. They asked for a Cash App payment, I was on the phone for 1:40 minutes and supplied all the necessary information only for the rep to come back and tell me that they were having a problem with Cash App. He then asked if I had Zelle, and stated that I had to pay the 420.00 through Zelle and they would reimburse me, ( I thought, what kind of scam is this) I'M STILL WAITING for my refund. Now I have no tv service and, the manager, Rawn Bellford, hung up on me. I'm big on customer service...guess I'll be switching providers.
I tried to help my neighbor get youtube tv but they have a dumb smart tv so we went and bought a roku. I then put youtubetv on the roku. Got it all logged in and then it said it could not verify my location. I dont have a smart phone only a flip phone. It took an hour to find a smart phone and then i had to connect my youtube account to the account of the person who had the phones youtube account they then sent me a passcode to my flip phone that the other person had to then enter into there phone and then we finaly got youtubetv to work. Its not a good system and very very frustrating and no one to call for help yep no phone number for youtubetv. No support just help pages that got even more frusterating. But even after the hell it put us though its still one of the cheaper ways to get local tv channels. I dont understand people that want local channels but that is what that is.
I did a trial with them back in Dec.2022. When my trial ended I went to their website to cancel. They had on that page "CANCEL NOW" which I clicked on. It took me to a membership page which only showed options for adding more stuff. Did not mention cancellation at all. So of course, I thought I had done all that I could do. In Jan. I was charged for the whole month. I disputed the charge but it was stated as being pending. I went online to try to find a phone number or email address for YOUTUBETV and or GOOGLE because they own it now. I found absolutely nothing. In the meantime CITI the credit card company that I used just for the trial kept charging me and I kept disputing. CITI keep sending me messages saying Google had until 4/1 or 4/2 to respond. They sent me a letter denying my dispute and putting the charge back on my account. They said a response from GOOGLE/YOUTUBE TV was attached but it wasn't. On 2/23 I tried to reach GOOGLE again. I finally found a place to dispute a charge and they sent me an email saying they would look into it. But they obviously never did because they've been charging me every month since then. I tried researching again and disputing charge. When I did that it took me to a page which showed the memberships that I had had with them. The only one they showed was for 11/2020 which of course was several years ago. Plus they sent me an email asking me to come back to YOUTUBETV. I'm very disappointed in both companies. They both failed me. I've given CITI 7 days to resolve this or I will close out my account. Which is more than enough in my opinion. I would not recommend either of these companies to join. The opportunity to speak with a live agent doesn't exist. For GOOGLE you can't even write everything you need to before you run out of characters. I will never, ever deal with GOOGLE/YOUTUBETV again. And hope and pray no one else ever has to go through what I am still going through. This site would
Tried abYoutube Tv trial and would you believe I got a partial trial could never watch it on Tv and just some parts of it on the IPad; then no matter what I did I was unable to cancel the trial, some YouTube site asking for my credit card info just to call 'em on the phone which I didn't do. Thief YouTube billed my account and withdrew 57.00 overdrawing my bank account. Everybody ought to file against them with BBB. I wouldn't care if they take all of the services and out them out of Busness. They don't even appreciate or respect their own customers that sucks until it hurts. Who wants to pay to be mistreated and disrespected. I'm done with 'em for the most part.
Bye bye! YOUR decision to not come to terms with the MLB network. Unfortunately this decision will cost you some viewers and I will be one. The kicker was the fact that not only getting less from YOUR decision but now you've raised your rates 13%. Who is in charge over there, a computer I'm sure! NOT GOOD BUSINESS! Bye bye!
Disconnecting from YouTube TV is a nightmare. They asked us to get a gift card for $200.00 just to get a number from it to give them. I refused to pay $200.00 to disconnect and they said that if we don't, they will charge us $500.00. This is the craziest thing I have ever heard. Has anyone else had a problem Disconnecting their service?
I've been charged 4 extra months for you tube tv before I finally figured out the charge was coming from a second account that got double billed from the first time I signed up. An account I don't use and couldn't figure out how to cancel since they don't have a phone number to call or email, chat for that matter. Basically no customer service! Learned the hard way $240 later. I will never be using you tube tv again! Very poor
Save your money or spend on a different tv service. Way too many useless and repetitive ads. Show comes back on but God forbid you want to rewind something funny and see it again then youll have to watch 3 minutes of ads again before you can watch. And if you don't remember timewise what the funny part was at then you'll risk a third 5 minute commercial just from trying to watch. Do what you want but I'm taking my money elsewhere.
We moved from Texas to Ohio. YouTube TV required us to update our "home area" in order to access all channels in our plan. We followed their instructions several times well ahead of the deadline they told us we had to meet to avoid service restrictions. Their system would not make/accept the the changes we made, even though we made them multiple time. We cancelled our service, which does not take effect until the end of March 2023. When I chatted with the customer service representative/AI program, I was told because the subscription was marked for cancellation, they could not update the home are so I could use the service for the last 2 weeks I am being charged for. Google is a technology company that could easily solve this problem. They chose not to because they want to force customers to remain active on their plan. They did not offer to fix it or refund me the money for the time I am not able to sue the service since they refuse to help me solve the problem they created. Couple this with the huge price increase (over 10%), I would run the other way instead of using this overpriced, poorly supported program.
I am using YouTube tv, only because that is what is offered here where I am renting an overpriced Room and the TV is YouTube. First, the Interface is HORRIBLE. Tiny print that is impossible to read even if you have good eyesight. The Interface is just downright difficult to navigate. I have had every cable service out there, and this is by far the poorest design of interface I have come across. Very poor design. Whoever designed this interface should go take a closer look at almost ANY other cable service interface. Worst of all is the DVR. There may be unlimited storage, but constant issues w failure to record, episodes of recording that just randomly disappear, and random inability to fast forward or go go backward. It seems every day there is another quality and user issue I am trying to overcome. Overall, I HATE this service. I will NEVER order this service for TV viewing when I move. It is WAYYY overpriced for how clunky it is w much work needed to be done to overcome many random glitches, and just poor design.
About to watch a video reluctantly saw 2 20 second ads before the video, 1 minute in to the video another 2 ads first 1 20 seconds long, absolutely disgusting way to get viewers to pay £8 a month to watch vids minus the ads, whoever's thought of this should hang their heads in shame.
Someone keeps using my account and changing my home area so I'm not able to watch hardly anything from my home. I would highly recommend not wasting your $65 a month on this service and getting dish or something else like that
YouTube TV is absolutely garbage! Froze me out of my account, don't know why and they could not explain why. Had to upload my drivers license to prove my identity. Then they tell me it will take up to a week to review. A WEEK? I say STAY AWAY from YouTube TV.
Figured I would try their special for a month. Boy what a major mistake-they want extra $$$ to get 4K-a freebie with Fubo. Very clumsy to operate and that is rather surprising as google is not new to video but the system is very lame. Near impossible to erase a recording is a big negative as navigation gets more and more cluttered-believe they are purged after 9 mos and I am not staying past a month. Be aware they do not have the History or Science channel. Now for the recordings-with 25$ Philo-and $8 Frndly you can zip past commercials, in well over 75% of the cases that is not possible with youtubetv. Just love to spend a chunk of money and get 20 mins of commercials in a 60 minute program. They are so desperate for commercials that India commercials are televised. Really can think of little positive to say-well one positive it was pretty easy to cancel. Will be going back to Fubo for the football season and to either Philo or Frndly for off season. Also had problems and managed to find a working line to them and after that with DVR lockups the phone line directed you to their website with zero answers and zero help.
