VFS is a worst agent I ever face. I'm not sure why Indian government using these kind of useless agents for their visa services. When I applied for OCI, registered at government site and advice to mail the application and passport to VFS. After 2 weeks I received back my passport without any process. Reason was, I don't attach return envelop (nowhere requested in my whole application process) and my parent passport detail. My parent passed away (father 40 years & mother 30 years) years ago. I'm 50+ years old, blind people also find my birthday from my OCI application. I like to rate them "0". I'm cancelling my OCI application and applying for tourist e-visa. No phone number to contact, no email address to message, worst people. Unable to get an appointment to visit in person. I already book my ticket to India, may be this will be my last trip to India. They made the OCI card process very difficult to all.

Navigating the services of VFS Global feels like stepping back into the colonial era. A lack of clarity regarding application requirements is a persistent issue. For every document, they seem to have an extra requirement, often alluding to a standard operating procedure (SOP) that, curiously, doesn't appear to be documented anywhere. It's baffling to understand why numerous consulates and embassies continue to employ their services. In my experience, VFS Global offers one of the most subpar service levels in the industry.

Not worth writing a review, but forced to rate due to the frustration after paying so much money
As many people on this website, i found it impossible to make an appointment for more than two months. Finally, the appointment date showed up 5 days before our intended trip. I submitted the documents, but, of course, did not get a visa in time. Furthermore, their "track your application online" service is not working at all. Inputing all required information returns the message "invalid input". I hope they won't lose my passport at least. Unbelievable waste of time and money. Looks like the system is designed to not let people travel if they need a visa.
Please stop this institution and embassy are made by tax payers money to help its citizens not to trouble them with institutions like VFS
Although I booked an appointment after being fed to their website from the UK immigration site, when I logged in later to upload my documents it says I don't have an appointment. When I then go to book another appointment (hoping I will be able to upload my documents later), it tells me that my reservation already exists. When I go to the website to try to self upload, it just says what to send but no tab to upload. I tried another browser but had the same issue. I tried to create a new account, also didn't work. I think they just want to force everyone to pay for scanning assistance. If I have to mail my passport anyway why not be able to mail my other documents as well? I'm extremely annoyed and my appointment is supposed to be Monday.
I've been patiently waiting for over four months for the return of my passport, but there have been no recent updates. The customer service team has been unresponsive to my emails. When I attempted to contact them through a paid phone line, they instructed me to address any issues via email and handle queries there. This service experience has been incredibly disappointing. Even the initial application process was unpleasant, involving long waits and exorbitant fees for the handling of official documents, only to result in my passport seemingly disappearing, requiring me to file a lost passport report to obtain a replacement.
The worst experience I ever had in my life, they are not specific about notarized documents in lieu of originals in their email responses after submission of documents for adult OCI.They do not tell you as what documents to be notarized at first. After making several phone calls in which they incur hefty charges I was told to submit notarized affidavit for all documents. It is actually not mentioned in the website to notarize documents except when applying for minor children and when names were changed.
There have been no slots available for Finland, or any other nearby countries for the past 4-5 months. Also every time when I want to log into the website to check the available dates, I need to make a new account. FIX YOUR WEBSITE! This website is so important literally across the world so it makes no sense that it's such bad quality. Hire some professionals and make it work!
I came for my son's visa application, there is no waiting space anywhere. Even after paying so much, people who are accompanying has to suffer so much in the hot sun. Keeping in view of the health and polution outside, VFS has to consider providing some seating area while applicants are inside.

Former VFS employees have purportedly alleged the outsourcing company is systematically deceitful to visa applicants and that passports have been occasionally mishandled or lost due to poor organization. Within the next year, a sudden deluge of five-star reviews—over ten thousand posts by newly-created accounts—greatly boosted the Trustpilot score to 4.5 out of 5 stars by October 2020
VFS deserves NEGATIVE 100 rating if that exists. Their web site for booking appointment is pure garbage and unusable. The website shows me available dates for booking, but when I select the date, for example 16 October and proceed to payment, I get a message that 16 October is no longer available, select another date. But when I go back to select other dates, it shows that 16 October is still available. So when i select it yet again and proceed to payment, I again get another message that 16 October is not available choose another date. So I go back and see that 16 October is STILL available. So this time I try a different date example 20 October but when I reach payment yet agin it says 20 October not available choose another date. I go back and 20 October is still showing as available. After few tries I get an error message that i can no longer use the website and need to wait 2 hours or try different browser. After waiting 2 hours, the same problems happen all over again. Whatever I do does not work. I call their customer service and they can not help, they blame the user and request to send escalation email to reposed after 48 hours. And after 48 hours all available appointments are gone and not available. VFS is the worst nightmare for visa applications. I do not understand how embassies are choosing to continue working with VFS for their visa processing. Its a disgrace.
You can never trust them. Also why Canada and other countries trust their visa processing to them only. They should be one of other options not the only option. Government soon should take action about them if they really give a damn thing about people. They have access to our passports they hold it, they lose it. And I also have to mention that they have the worst agents that will make you angry and when you get angry they will warn you no to talk them angry or otherwise they will write complaint to immigration. Why the hell they have so much authority over people applying visa.
After weeks of trying to get an appointment for an Italian tourist visa got one at Manchester. Over 200 miles away from home, was unable to get one for London.
Arrived one hour early, English is not my first language and my husband was not allowed in.
Was given a ticket and waited for 2 hours after my 10:15 am slot.
I tried to find out what the delay was and eventually my number was called. When I spoke to the women at the desk I was told there were no staff available and I'd need to go to London in 10 days time, I was handed a hand written piece of paper and asked to leave.
My husband went back in with me but was fobbed off by the reception staff who refused to give any information.
After paying almost £400 for travel, accommodation, VFS services and fee I have nothing to show for it except for a complete lack of the service I paid for and the common decency to explain why after travelling and waiting hours we are suddenly told there is no Italy visa staff. Strange as 10 people before me waiting for the same visa went in and left without issue.
I am left to the sad conclusion that me being Arabic was not to the staffs liking, their rude demeanour and dismissive tone followed by the failure to complete my paid for appointment smells strongly of racism or complete ineptitude.
I used this agency to process my Schengen visa to the Netherlands and the service was terrific. At the reception desk, the gentleman was wonderful. He was calm, knowledgeable, polite, and very patient with us. A lady and her father before me came without some documents, The gentleman gave her two options, go and come back tomorrow or have the husband send a copy, she changed her mind about what she wanted a few times, and this man never showed any signs of dissatisfaction.
Inside in the document submission area, I was seen by Manmeet Singh, who went above and beyond, made me feel comfortable and was very patient with me. I was trying to apply for a visa 4 days before my flight because that was the earliest appointment available. Just about an hour before the close of business. Even though I ignored his advice not to risk it, he still came all out trying to help me submit that day. I later gave up when two more staff Bhavi Patel and Abmishek Bhatti joined the panel. As a team, they talked some sense into me.
Not sure if visa applicants have much choice as to where they go for visa application but if they do, I highly recommend these guys.
This company has a monopoly for processing visa applications on behalf of consulates of several countries and has clearly no interest in providing a service of acceptable standards.
Unfortunately, I had to deal with their London branch for requesting a tourist visa to visit Italy for my partner, a UK-resident Turkish citizen.
It is absolutely a disgrace how they operate, surely the Italian Consulate is equally at fault for contracting them and ignoring the disservice.
VFS Global website is the only available channel to book visa appointments and it is a malfunctioning, obsolete website that, as stated by VFS customer service itself, is not compatible with most recent Mac operating systems/web browsers and will continuously give an error message when attempting to access bookings.
If you manage to bypass this obstacle and log into the system, you will find out that appointment slots are never available anyway and a pop-up window will advise you to try again later...until you have tried too many times and it will give you an error message again or block you.
We have now been trying for 4 weeks every day, several times a day, from 2 different computers, dedicating MANY HOURS to this process because we really need to travel and already have tickets and arrangements in place (as it is required in order to obtain a visa).
Out of 100s attempts, on 3 occasions a slot showed as available...only to disappear by the time we filled in the lengthy form necessary to complete the booking! Can you imagine the stress and disappointment of finding a slot after so many attempts just to realise the website is not holding it for you while you frantically fill in the details (that are not saved in your account in spite of having previously entered them) and you have to start all over again?!
This is beyond ridiculous and infuriating. Our flight is 2 weeks and I've lost hope we will make it.
In fact, the Italian Consulate in London does not have a functioning visa application system which makes it impossible to visit the country for those requiring one. And they couldn't care less.
If you contact the consulate directly about visa issues they will not get back to you and the automatic reply states that if they do not reply the first time it is highly unlikely they will if you email them again and if you insist they will put you in the spam (yes, it is not a joke!)

VFS Global has a collection of terrible reviews on several platforms and I read of many people describing the exact same problems I'm experiencing.
Surprisingly they have good reviews on Trustpilot and I honestly doubt they are genuine.
Shame on VFS Global and the Italian Consulate in London!
Slots are selling for 35,000/- to needed peoples. Common students to present the research made in India not be allowed to go.they are blocking the sites during transaction purposely...not an transparent thing...
Not helpful and horrible attitude.
The treatment and the behavior of the lady in booth 2 was irritating. Because i didn't understand and asked her to repeat what she said she smacked on the table. She made fun of a paper i had and when i tried to explain she threw the paper to her colleague. I left without applying after driving for 5 hours.
