I had recently purchased a dress from Verge Girl in Brisbane to have it fall apart on me 10 days after purchasing this garment. One strap had snapped, the other strap almost snapped, all of the lining in the dress frayed and ruined. I have then attempted to return this dress for a refund, it has taken me four visits to the store and multiple phone calls and a lot of persistence just to have the dress exchanged. The customer service I have received in this time has been the worst I have ever encountered, the manager and team at this store have absolutely no customer service and are all out right rude. The manager refused to contact me directly and is more then happy to put her employees in the firing line of an unhappy customer.
If you ever leave the garment with this store, take photos of everything and obtain all proof you can. Do not throw your receipt away, and be prepared for a lot of time and effort if you ever choose to return anything to this store. I will never shop here again. By far the most horrible retail experience I have ever encountered.

Im sorry this has been your experience shopping with us. It is our store policy to not accept returns that have their tags detached and no proof of purchase. The girls are only trained on store policy so there is going to be back and forth between management to come to a resolution regarding unique cases. I can see why it may have taken extra time to make a decision to credit you for the dress. Thanks for letting us know how we can improve what we do, as we surely don't want any of our customers to incur negative experiences shopping with us. VG

Actually a scam

You can find the clothes they sell on other sides for at least $20 cheaper minimum, sometimes even $30-$40 cheaper for the exact same item! It's quite disgusting they jack up their prices so much given their young shoppers are easily influenced by their trendy instagram. Also why are all their models tanned, skinny white girls? Do they know people of colour exist? And people above 45kg? Get some diversity, it's 2016!

Hi Luc.
Firstly this is not a matter of customer service and do not respond well to being labelled as racists.
Here are the facts for you:
Firstly, many online retailers copy other designs and sell for cheaper to undercut their competitors.
Secondly, we use models being managed by Brisbane/ Sydney Modelling agencies. If you have a problem with the models being used you should target the agencies to voice your propaganda.
Thirdly, we have many VG ambassadors that are not all size 6 and 8 girls.

This shop has nice stuff but unfortunately the "manager" today is absolutely horrible. When I asked questions about sizing and availability of items she snapped at me very rudely and abruptly, leaving me to feel uncomfortable and on the verge of tears, she is intimidating and a bully, I strongly advise AGAINST supporting their business. It is been a very long time since I've been to a store with such an UGLY NAST HORRIBLE storeperson. My feelings are hurt and I will make a point of discouraging EVERYONE I know from shopping at Verge at Adelaide St!
A huge waste of ten minutes of my life that should've been spent on a human being deserving of my time and kindness.

I bought a halter top that appeared to be super silky for $36.90 expecting to get my money's worth. When I received the product, it was this super cheap looking scrap of fabric that was very poorly constructed. The $67 dress I bought was constructed better, but the fabric was way too cheap to have the price be up to $67. Shipping was also an insane price at $22 for only two items. Overall I wouldn't recommend this site and would never shop here again.

Worst Online Shop Ever

The most horrible girls I have ever dealt with- on a number of occasions have extremely bad attitude and I would be embarrassed to speak to anyone the way they do let alone customers. Also very cheap quality clothing- princess polly usually has the same items for a much cheaper price. I shop online over 3 times a week and this is by far the worst experiences I have ever had.

At first I was smitten by their beautiful and unique clothing. Smitten enough to pay the wicked expensive shipping and price of the clothing. I couldn't even wear the shirt once before I noticed that the strap that tied the shirt together was already shredding apart. I almost wanted to throw the piece out with frustration. I paid over $64 for this top and I was hoping to get far more use out of it. I contacted customer service and they expected me to pay for shipping to send the piece back to be examined before they would decide what to do. There is no way I was going to pay the outrageous price for shipping again to maybe get a refund. There is no way I would shop here again. They have expensive clothing that is made cheaply and their customer service is the absolute worst. Customer service can really make or break a company. I don't often have to go through the trouble of a return but this is by far the worst experience I have had from shopping online. I rather support local boutiques than risk buying their terrible clothing and having to go through their so called customer service.

Thank you so much for ordering from Verge Girl and we apologise if your experience did not live up to your expectation. The nature of online shopping means that we receive many returns from customers who need a change of size ect. It would be extremely expensive for us to absorb the cost of all returns and we don't know of any smaller online stores who do this. We have since introduced free express shipping for orders over $70 and 30 day returns online to make it easier for our customers to return items that are not suited. We would love to be able to offer free returns shipping in the future. VG
