My experience overall is good… Variety of products, great deals, lots of coupons, rewards; friendly user apo, but doesn't accept US Territory Credit Cards.

Walgreens price to fill my prescription for a generic drug was nearly $1000 when other pharmacies could fill the prescription for $17. I attempted to transfer the prescription to another pharmacy. Walgreens refused to transfer the prescription. The only reason given was that it was company policy. I had to go back to my doctor, have the prescription at Walgreens cancelled, and have a new prescription sent to the more reasonable pharmacy. All of this was very inconvenient for me and for the doctor and took a long time to complete. Thank goodness the prescription was not something I needed right away.

This incident gives the strong impression that Walgreen is holding hostage medication people need for their health. That seems shameful to me.

To make matters worse, when I was ordering the medication, I first attempted to order it online. The Walgreens web site wanted me to provide my credit card to be charged without telling me how much the prescription would cost! We don't have insurance for this. Had I been foolish enough to click submit we'd be out nearly $1000. What kind of a company won't tell you how much something will cost before you buy? I feel like I'm dealing with some sort of criminal organization.

Stay far away from Walgreens, for your health.

Bad at vaccines

There was a extremely long line for vaccines, and it was the same line for prescriptions. Overall a very bad experience. Left after 25 minutes of waiting. It would take 35 minutes after the appointment. Do not go there for vaccines. Would give zero stars if possible. Do not go there.

Made my little girl cry

Walgreens, so busy trying to push their credit cards that they even tried to have my 12 year old girl sign up for one of their crappy credit cards and after she said no five times she started to cry I will not be using Walgreens ever again

VETS BEWARE!

VETS BEWARE! Walgreens pharmacy "WILL NOT" offer "ANY DISCOUNTS FOR VETS", even if you pay cash and no insurance or if you want to use GoodRX or other coupons. They state that the VA should pay them full price. I paid $150 for 3 prescriptions that I could have paid $34 with GoodRX. Contacted both store and corporate and was told this is the pharmacy policy. WHAT A SCAM!

Took my elder mom and I'm a disabled vet to Walgreens in Vancouver Washington Cascade Park long story short they wouldn't take walk ins so I said if you put a sign up saying no walk in appointment only then I would not have waited in line or waited to talk to pharmacist to se if my elder mom could get one TB vaccine that she gets every 10 years that either put a sign up and let the doctors know you don't take walk ins it's by appointment only the managerTina Kunukel called police on me kicked me out of store for good my mom has been getting her meds and vaccines there for over 40 years when it was called hi school pharmacy She was aggressive and hostile towards me being a black women to have a person threaten me with the police caused me to have a medical event I was lucky to have the Vancouver Firefighters show up they escorted me and my mom to our car as they assured me this out of control store manager would not follow me and continue to verbally attack me with police and to never be allowed back in her store and she made that clear and she would not stop attacking me and following me until the firefighters came thank you firefighters but I have been trying to talk to a district manager and it's a nightmare trying to get a hold of someone who is above this out of control store manager please help

THIS IS A ZERO STAR REVIEW:

Two of the rudest human beings that I've ever come across in the 21 countries that I've stepped foot in and lived in over the years work in the store.

I actually tried to reach the CEO Roz Brewer but she never got back to me.

Twice in under 3 weeks I've walked into this building and have been treated like a piece of garbage. Even today a very calm Martha who was trying to help me ignored this nasty woman who I believe is called Catherine (or Christine) who was treating me with complete and utter disrespect.

Why companies employ individuals like this I will never know.

Complaints were filed to corporate and also to the district manager to which nothing has changed unfortunately.

Old Fashioned Service

I went to Walgreens in High Point, NC, yesterday to buy Iron Supplement Pills. As I looked at the display, I couldn't find what I was looking for. I found the Manager on Duty and explained my situation. He gladly walked me back to the supplements and found what I needed; He asked if there was anything else he could do for me. I thanked him and proceeded to the checkout counter, where the cashier picked up the SERVICE BALL. She greeted me, asked if I found everything I needed, as she rang me up, she made sure I was a rewards member and had entered my phone number to activate. She then looked at my account and notified me that I had a $5.00 discount in my account. I say this because I have encountered a number of service personnel who have treated me as if I was interrupting their day. I just believe in this day and age when you see good old fashioned Customer Service it should be acknowledged. Yes, that is very sad, but it is the world we live in. It should be the norm rather than the exception. Good Job Walgreens you are among the Elite today!

Walgreens and ebay card services is the biggest scam. I bought an ebay card, Walgreens never activated it, ebay customer service confirmed the card is not activated. I called Walgreens customer service more than 15 times and they kept on hanging up with me. I went to the store and the store manager did not even want to talk to me. Walgreens and ebay stole $200 from me without giving any service. I asked ebay and Walgreens to show me the transaction that is made on the card and they refused to answer my questions.

Never again, I recommend anyone to shop at Walgreens and ebay. These 2 organizations are supporting economic terrorism by taking money from honest American and possibly giving it to terrorist organizations that are harming USA. These 2 businesses need to close down permanently.

Fake hours of operation

The 24 hour store is only open till 10pm. Ok... np. I went down there to find that their unpublished hours are to 9pm. I wasted a trip because Walgreens doesn't publish their unofficial hours.

Bought an eye patch and cotton balls, all store prices are ~20% extra than online prices, and they will not price match. Horrible. They should close their stores and stay online only.

Horrible pharmacy

To make this short, they can't mail my 90 day refill to me correctly. I have only received it twice. Every other time I have to pick it up at the store myself. This time they said I had no refills left. There is always some problem. I only have enough pills for 3 more days.

Bad service

Took nearly two months to get my script. They were the only ones covered by my insurance, or I would have gone elsewhere. Took them two weeks just to get my name and birthdate correct! I would call at least twice a week to check on the status. They would say they are waiting to hear back from my doctor but never actually would reach out to my doctor. My doctor had to call THEM every time. They would lie and say they left messages at doc office, but that wasn't true. And even if it was true, why wouldn't they keep trying? Or reach back out to me?

DOWNHILL FAST!

Walgreens has gone downhill since COVID and I will never use them. Many of their pharmacies have a single drive-through lane. Some manager thinks it's a good idea for the people to sit in line for an hour waiting for four COVID testers in front of them. It doesn't matter to Walgreens that I am disabled and cannot go into the store. Curb pickup is a big joke. They don't have enough employees to run the store.

The most recent experience is most horrid. I have filled a prescription twice and they have canceled it twice and not notified me of anything other than confirmation of request and I needed to wait because they were out of the stock. Who runs out of synthroid? It is a basic Rx that many people use. The first time I used the website to fill the prescription. A week later there's still no medication and they've completely canceled the prescription refill. I call on the phone and I asked them to fill the prescription and mail it to me as I requested in the beginning. No prescription, the girl didn't even enter the refill. It's just sitting out there in limbo waiting for me to refill it at a different pharmacy. Trust me I will never use Walgreens again. I had already moved the majority of my medications to an online pharmacy because of bad service. I am very happy with them and I will use Walmart for emergency medications. Walgreens no longer stocks basic medications. Sad, I used to use them all the time. They're just at the end of my street. They have overcharged
Medicare and force multiple store visits to fill one Rx.
