The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

Avoid at all costs!
Very high fees and no guarantee you will actually receive the ticket you paid for.
It is a resale site which will charge you 2-10x the original ticket price &then you will not know if you will actually receive the ticket until a few hours before the event begins.
For example after paying almost £1000 for international rugby tickets I am advised that it is not until 13:40 on the day of the game (which kicks off at 16:40) whether or not I will actually receive the tickets I have paid for. Viagogo claim this is because some tickets are not released until the day of the event, however that is not the case for international rugby matches. Despite advising them of this they refuse to contact the seller to request the tickets are transferred to me and they refuse to provide me with the seller contact information so that I can make this request myself. Instead Viagogo advise their terms and conditions give sellers until the day of the game to release the tickets to you and so they will not do anything to assist.
If you do not receive your tickets they apparently provide a refund but that is not much use if you have already paid for accommodation and travel. Not to mention the uncertainty you have to deal with until the last minute for such a large event.
This process is not made clear when you purchase your tickets and the customer service could not be less helpful. They just send you the same preprepared statement in response over and over and refuse to actually engage with you.
No matter how much you want the tickets it's just not worth it!
I paid $54.72 for a parking lot ticket so my husband and I would not have to walk far to a venue we were attending. We are both seniors with mobility issues. We told the attendant what lot we were to go to and they directed us into a parking garage. We didn't have a choice as we told them Lot A and that is where we were directed. Lot A was closer to the venue. I contacted the service the morning after the event and they offered me a $13.26 voucher. I filed a complaint with Paypal. They then contacted me and asked if I would cancel the complaint, they would look further into the matter. I now have 6 emails from them giving me the runaround that they are still looking into the matter. I told them that I needed a refund by October 31,2025, today or I would have to file another complaint. All I got was more run around. It doesn't take that long to process a refund and $54.72 is more than I can afford to pay for parking, but it was for my husband's birthday and he had two operations this year and I wanted to make it easy for him and for me also. We are 75 and 80 years old. Please re-open this case as this vendor is fraudulent in my estimation. In addition, we got stuck in that parking garage after the event for at least 45 minutes to an hour and had to drive home a hour after that. What was supposed to be a birthday present turned into a birthday nightmare.
Bought soccer tickets only to find that it was already used and I couldn't get in. Drove 4h for nothing.
This is by far the worst ticket company I've ever dealt with. Prices were sky-high (I paid 4x more than through other sellers) and the seats (the zone) was not what I've booked. It's very deceiving seat map. Customer service basically didn't fix anything, didn't even offered to provide better seats, which they could. I spent way too much money and ended up with stress instead of excitement. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from Viagogo. They should not even be allowed to operate. It's legal criminal act!
I've been purchasing and selling tickets on the secondary platform "StubHub" for quite a while. Over the past several months, I have experienced serious and unresolved issues with my StubHub account, including multiple unpaid orders, withheld payouts, and unresolved disputes—despite fulfilling all obligations and providing extensive
Supporting documentation. To make matters worse, my account was suddenly locked without any prior notice. When I contacted support, I was told the decision was final: my account would remain permanently suspended, I would lose access to all funds, and I would be barred from creating any new accounts. I was given no detailed explanation. One support agent vaguely mentioned "multiple buyer complaints" and "issues with sales," but refused to elaborate or provide any specific evidence. When I tried to contact the support team for a detailed explanation, I either received no response at all or was given mutually contradictory explanations: Trust & Safety declined to provide any concrete reason for the suspension despite
Multiple requests.
Executive Customer Care wrote: "We have found that the buyer of one of their transactions is linked to the seller themselves. As a result, we have shut down this account, and it will remain blocked, and payments will not be resumed." I categorically deny this allegation.
Customer Support also claimed: "Your account has been deactivated due to multiple instances of unfulfilled ticket orders associated with your listings.
" As a result, I still do not know the exact reason for the suspension. Furthermore, these accusations are untrue. In reality, nearly every disputed order on my account involved buyer fraud or situations where I followed the rules, yet was penalized anyway. For each such order, I submitted clear documentation to prove my innocence. I have continued to take every reasonable action to resolve the issue. I have spent months calling customer service daily, escalating my case via email to executive management, and filing formal disputes; however, none of these efforts have resulted in a resolution or a meaningful response. To date, over USD 20,000 remains unpaid or wrongfully withheld, including funds from multiple sales, previously promised credits, and amounts deducted to cover penalties that should never have been applied. This entire ordeal has caused significant financial strain, emotional distress, and exhaustion. I've spent countless hours preparing documentation, making international calls, and trying to defend myself through a broken system. I am fully prepared to provide extensive evidence and supporting documentation—including email records, account activity, ticket delivery logs, and customer communications—upon request. My sole goal is to resolve this matter with transparency and recover the compensation I rightfully earned through fulfilled obligations.
I am totally dissatisfied about viagogo behavior! Paid around EUR 300 for a tickets which seats costs EUR 70 (2 x EUR35) and in addition they send me "tickets with reduced price", for retired people or students (?!) which costs EUR 25 each (i. E. EUR 50). So it seems for this company 400% profit is small and they increase their profit to 600%!
NEVER USE SERVICES OF viagogo.com!!!
On March 30, I purchased a ticket for the Olympiakos–Panathinaikos match through Viagogo. I was not allowed to enter the stadium. I contacted their agents before the match, and they confirmed I was in the right and would be refunded. Five months later, despite repeated follow-ups, all I hear is that they are 'reviewing' my case, with no resolution and no proper response. Their so-called 100% guarantee means nothing in practice. Be very cautious when buying tickets from them.
Difference when purchase the ticket and do the payment and the amount that did go through my account. Suddenly R500.00 more and paying in euro's?
With so many laws existing how is this company even in existence? Pure money scamming company. I have never been refunded my money which is quite a significant amount. Have written to the CEO 4 times both professional and personal email never ever answered
I don't trust viagogo. I bought tickets in October 2024 on viagogo for a concert in August 2025. I don't have the tickets in any of my email accounts, wallet, ticket master account or hands. When I try to download the tickets it says the tickets have been downloaded by another email address. I contacted Viagogo and they will not confirm if the tickets were sent to my email and I don't have the tickets. Not helpful. I'm out $350 and not going to the concert bc I don't have any tickets. I thought I was buying tickets in a legit ticket site. I don't go to concerts a lot and may not go to another one given the hassle factor. I would advise anyone not to use viagogo if you really want to get your tickets and you don't have money to waste.
I want my disappointment to reach you so you truly understand what you're doing to people who place their trust, dreams, and hard-earned money in your hands. A year ago, I trusted you. I invited my Brazilian friend and family to join me in Miami to attend the Coldplay concert. I bought what I believed was the best possible spot to give them a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I even shared the ticket link with other friends so we could all sit together and enjoy the concert of our dreams. Just three hours before the show, Viagogo informed me that none of our tickets had been confirmed. I was given only four replacement options or the choice to request a refund.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
I brought 3tickets($388) UB40 feat.Ali Campbell birthday present for my mom. Once at the gates they told me they cannot find my tikets searching by order nb., email or my name. I tried to contact viagogo 5 times where the robot kept hanging on. So my mom flew for this concert to London and missed the whole thing because of the website error and after all this I was offered a $90 voucher to use on their website in one day. NEVER USE VIAGOGO IF YOU WANNA GET INTO THE CONCERT YOU PAYED FOR
Do not purchase. Bait and Switch illegal in my country. They price tickets alluding they will be in the higher priced section then make you wait to get tickets that are in the cheaper priced section. By the time you get the tickets they have received payment.
I purchased tickets for a concert in a specific section because I was going with friends. When purchasing they said they will send the tickets before the concert. Four months later, the day before the concert, they sent me tickets for another section. I called and asked for the tickets I purchased or for a refund and they said no. THey said that they sent replacement tickets for another section, and that if I didnt want them, that I could relist them! They day before a concert, that I actually wanted to go, but with friends
Do not trust viagogo sold me fake tickets - we drove 2 hours for nothing - paid parking any tickets were fake-they would not refund my money - wouldn't even respond to multiple attempts to contact them - SCAM ALERT!
WARNING! DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! I bought Tickets in November for Coldplay in Vegas in the 1st row area. When they finally came and I went to Ticketmaster to claim them it's an obstructed view 😡
They have a guarantee and said they would offer me a different comparable seat. I have been waiting since April and have had to call and email them at least 20 times only to be told every time that they are escalating it. Finally today, 4 days before the concert, I called AGAIN and the seats they offered are in the 3rd or 4th row 😠😠😠 That is NOT a comparable seat! I spent a LOT of money on the ticket, plane tickets, airport parking and the lodging for this event along with my time off work! I have been planning this since November only to be let down by Viagogo 👎👎👎🤬
VIAGOGO IS A SCAM – STAY FAR AWAY! I'm writing this in absolute anger and frustration, and I hope it serves as a warning to anyone even thinking about using Viagogo. This company is nothing but a scam operation, and they should be shut down immediately. In December 2024, I bought tickets through Viagogo to see HURTS at Brixton Academy for my fiancée's birthday. The show was sold out, and I was desperate to get them because she loves the band. I paid nearly £200 for the tickets – and honestly, I had a bad feeling right from the start. But I pushed it aside because I wanted to make her birthday special. Weeks turned into months, and there were no tickets. I contacted Viagogo, and they casually told me they "weren't available yet." That made no sense – I'd paid for them in full months ago. Two weeks before the show? Still no tickets. Their response? "If they don't show up, we'll refund you." Seriously? That's not a policy – that's gambling with people's money. The day of the concert arrived, and guess what? Still no tickets. I had spent nearly £700 on a hotel, dinner, and travel – all for nothing. I called Viagogo in a panic, and they told me the tickets would arrive. Then, just 20 minutes before the show, they finally emailed me two dodgy screenshots of tickets. I was suspicious but desperate. We went to the venue, had them scanned – and shocker – THEY WERE FAKE. We were pulled aside by security and brought to an area where at least 10 other people were also holding fake tickets from Viagogo. It was a sickening moment of realisation – this is a full-blown scam. I called Viagogo, absolutely furious, and the woman on the phone shrugged it off. No help, no apology. Just, "buy new tickets or miss the show." Luckily, the venue released a few more tickets and the security staff helped us get in. If not for that, we – and all the other victims – would've missed everything. Viagogo would've walked away with thousands of pounds, and no accountability. Now it's been over a week, and still no refund. First they blamed my bank (laughable), then after I threatened legal action and police involvement, they magically admitted the refund hadn't even been processed yet. I rarely write reviews, but this experience was so appalling I have to speak out. Viagogo is a predatory company that preys on desperate people. They sell fake tickets, offer zero accountability, and rob people of their money, time, and memories. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM VIAGOGO.
Use a reputable company. Listen to your instincts. Don't let these scammers ruin your plans like they almost ruined mine. VIAGOGO IS A SCAM – AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
I purchased tickets that were never delivered. I contacted support before the event, but they failed to resolve the issue. I had to buy new tickets at the venue. No refund was given, and the customer service was unhelpful and dismissive. Never using this platform again.
I purchased tickets through Viagogo and never received them in advance — only a vague promise of delivery 3 hours before the event. That uncertainty forced me to buy new tickets directly from the official seller. Viagogo refused to issue a refund, even though the service was effectively not delivered. Viagogo has been involved in numerous lawsuits across Europe for fraudulent or misleading practices, including a court ruling in Germany that banned the resale of Rammstein tickets on their platform. Thousands of complaints exist from customers who either didn't receive their tickets or were denied refunds. I strongly advise others to avoid this platform. I will be filing formal complaints with Mastercard, European consumer authorities, and regulatory bodies for what I believe is a fraudulent transaction.
This has been one of the most stressful and disappointing experiences I've ever had with any online service. I bought a ticket for Guns N' Roses WEEKS ago, paid in full the moment it was released, and to this day — just days before the event — I still haven't received my ticket. What's worse? Viagogo never clearly mentioned during the purchase that I'd have to wait until the same day of the event to get my ticket. That's completely irresponsible and misleading. I don't live in Abu Dhabi — I have to book flights and accommodation, but how am I supposed to do that with no ticket in hand? They've left me in a state of uncertainty, unable to plan anything, worried that I'll lose hundreds of dollars and miss an event I've been excited about for months. Their customer support is cold and robotic, just repeating policies without offering any real help. And the worst part? If the ticket doesn't show up on the event day, it's too late. You get a refund but miss the entire event — who covers my travel, hotel, and emotional distress? No one. This is beyond unprofessional — it's irresponsible, inconsiderate, and completely unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend Viagogo to anyone. Avoid them at all costs if you care about your plans, your money, or your peace of mind. They've ruined what should have been a great experience. Never again.
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
