I moved from Dallas Tx, to East Tx, it was a cultural shock, to say the least. Everyone goes to bed at 9pm, and they arise at 4am. The restaurants are 100×'s better, Fishing spots are not in short supply, as are places to worship. It took me awhile, to get used to everyone waving at me, as I drive. East Tx, is the perfect vacation place, even better when One lives in the area.
