I have traded some stuff with Adorama and they gave me an extra discount if I would purchase my new lenses with them. I agreed but for my surprise, the first lens that arrived were used lens when we agreed for new ones. In fact the calculation of the discount it was based in the rates for the new stuff in their web page. For the sencond lens they took one month to send me the new ones and only after a lot of emails back and forth. In some of these emails they asked me to send back the first lens to be replaced but I never received the new ones. In fact they have send me, two times, the tracking number of another person to show me that the package was on its way, Luckily I did not send back the lens and even I feel I have beenn scamed I have decided to keep the lens even there are not new. It was a trade of more than 3000$ and after two month has not been solved. They play with your time and money. Also, be aware that if you trade something with them, they will ofer you the items without some extra promotions that they have in their web site for the same price. If you finally decide to trade with them I recomend you to take the money and purchase in another shop or to do not agree with the trade if they do not give you all the details.
We received an add from Adorama that they were selling a AVRS960H - AV RECEIVER for $399 with free shipping. Well this through up a flag because Denon sells them for $799. So, I started checking reviews about them and there were too many about terrible customer service. So, then I called Dennon and asked them if Adorama was an authorized seller and they said no. They also said that they might not cover the warranty because of that. I do know that Denon sells the same model that has been refurbished for $599. I called Adorama to ask them if the unit was a Refurb and they said no. Then I asked them how they were able to sell a new unit for $399 and they said that they received a rebate from Denon. Since they are not a reseller, this can't be true. Now the red flag was really up. In the end I did not buy it due to too many unresolved issues with them.
They sent a Camera we ordered with NO battery. Can't use the camera without the Battery. Their service is Pathetic. Horrible. They take Saturday off instead of sending the Battery. The people that work there are extremely unprofessional and rude. They could care less. Please do not buy from Adorama.
So I called about pricing and I was transferred to a guy named Jeff and Jeff was quite a character. Kinda reminds me of a drug dealer that wants you to hurry up and buy before the cop see him. Absolutely the wrong guy to be answering the phones at Adorama. Jeff if you're reading this don't bring that bad energy into a great place like Adorama because we don't like it. And I'm speaking for the masses because my buddy stated the same thing. Come on dude we are both trying to make it in a cold world a little bit of joy warms it up a little.
I decided to study photography. In the courses we started to practice and I needed a camera. A classmate advised me to order a camera from the Adorama online store. On their website I read the specifications and chose the Fujifilm Instax Mini 11 Instant Film Camera, Terracotta Orange.When the camera was delivered to me, I took a few photos and was delighted.
I paid for the digital piano feb 20, it came after 20 days defective. Emails over emails changed with Adorama no solution, they refused a label for return. After mor than two months still I have my room blocked with the piano and the garage with the packing.

I purchased a ton of equipment for my company (many different lenses) and mistakenly ordered a wrong lens a Fuji lens instead of a Sony. Adorama lost the lens and could not locate, they did end up issuing a refund but only after about 1.5 months. The kicker is when they returned the money for the warranty for the lens they actually cancelled the warranty for a Sony lens which I never returned because it was the correct lens. I have been going back forth and now I have a cancelled warranty for a lens I have and also have a warranty for a lens I returned. I purchased over $15k in equipment last year and need to make a similar purchase this year and this situation has pushed me to move my business.
These companies that you thought you could trust and yet they promote predatory lending/leasing scams through ClickLease.

Purchased a $1,100.00 telescope for a Christmas/birthday gift. Turn out only box one of two was delivered. Adorama said they couldn't send box two out even though they forgot to send it out, L had to return box 1 and then repurchase the item. Now that i want to repurchase the item the price has been changed to over $1,600.00.
While communicating with them they just would not listen to what i had to say.
This is a ridiculous company, any other company would have apologized and sent box 2.
I bought a drone on ebay and the picture of the kit showed several things in the kit including an additional battery and a battery charger pack. The package arrived and no extra battery. I contacted them and asked and said can I apply the money of the regular battery to an advanced longer lasting battery and pay the difference. They simply sent the better battery as a courtesy! WOW... then I realized they left out the charger holder and called them and whala.they sent me a charger holder. No questions. Easy and professional! GREAT SERVICE! Would HIGHLY recommend them for your future purchases.
How ordered a smart wall base layer and received an email saying my order was canceled. The charge went through on my credit card and no one can seem to help me. So I have been charged for a product and I will not receive the product and cannot get ahold of anybody to help me. Absolutely pathetic
I sent my merchandise back over 3 weeks ago. Promised a refund several weeks ago. Then it went to a store credit. Called back, then I received 3 emails apologizing and said wait 2 days. Now they refund my Visa card but not my Andoroma card which I put the balance on. Now there is a $30 late fee. Had to make a payment just now. Takes over 72 hours to get a customer service email acknowledged
Got a VR headset that does not work, attempted to contact the company and they are not answering. Do you only have 15 days to return it, looks like we're going to have to go through the bank.
Looking at all the reviews (most of which were negative) I was reluctant to purchase from this company. Unfortunately the item I was looking for was out of stock anywhere. Calling Adorama to verify they had the item was in stock was pleasant and fast, finalizing and shipping the order was also fast. Item came well packaged and worked as intended. Purely speculation, but maybe their specialty is in certain areas as opposed to others hence why the overwhelming number of negative reviews. In conclusion, my transaction was smooth and flawless. Hopefully this is/will be the norm for others.
I ordered a Drone bundle. One of the items included did not work. I have sent several messages to several different email addresses and have not received a single reply. When competitors like B&H provide excellent customer service, there is no reason to risk doing business with Adorama. There are a lot of recent 1 star reviews all over the internet. I assume they have had employee problems post-pandemic, but the reason doesn't really matter. Other places are still providing much better customer service and support.
I fell for the lowest price trick that these guys do. Our non-profit bought 3 Sony 4K PTZ cameras for approx. $9000.00. When they arrived they were only 2K. Sony had yet to release the 4K and Adorama was supposed to wait and send me the 4K.
I got a call telling me they were on their way and they would be 4K. They were not and the problems only got worse from there. They changed the invoice. I will say that all the reps I talked to about this, and there were many, were really kind but no one believed me even though I have a receipt. After a myriad of calls they took it to the higher ups and I was offered half of what they owed me. At that point I was so mad I refused it. Now I am paying Sony $2700.00 to upgrade these cameras to what I was supposed to get when I bought them. They changed the invoice to not show the 4K rating but I have a copy of that invoice that clearly showed they were supposed to be 4K.
Adorama always seems to come up with the best prices. Don't believe it.
Additionally, Adorama claims to have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and they are an accredited business(which means they paid the fee) but if you go to the BBB site they only have a one star rating today.
I still have the receipts and every time I Iook at these cameras I remember how they got me. Don't let it happen to you.
On April 24,2022, I purchased a Personal Computer printer online via the Adorama website. I was notified by Adorama on April 25,2022 that they shipped the printer via United Parcel Service (UPS).
On April 29,2022, I received an e-mail from United Parcel Service (UPS) which contained a document named "Proof of Delivery". This document listed the correct street address but did not state my apartment.
There is a guard present at my lobby that permits delivery drivers to enter the lobby and deliver to the apartment that is listed on the delivery document. This never occurred and the guard stated to me that there were no deliveries by UPS on that day.
I have received many deliveries over the years to my apartment via UPS, FedEx, and Amazon. Depending on the product being delivered, a signature is sometimes required. FedEx and Amazon always take a photo of the apartment door and the delivery item if no one answers the door. On April 29,2022, both my wife and I were at home at our apartment all day. No package was ever delivered.
