I've been trying to make an account for a month and the message is update your phone number, and when i try to update my phone number sais contact customer service, i called the customer service three times and results is nothing, no one can fix the issue.
Fail company...
Zero star
It's all overseas, and it's all scripted. If you ask them a question outside the script, they do not know the app is absolutely terrible, too. Get through just terrible, all the way around
I used Affirm to order from Manlytshirts. I paid the loan off in a week. I never received the items and come to find out Manlytshirts are a known drop shop and scam. Affirm refuses to give me my money back. They knowingly use vendors that are known scammers and will not give you your money back.
This company approved me for 700 dollar and when I applied for a virtual card they immediately took out 175.00 from my bank account. However the virtual card would not work and I asked them to cancel it. No rep was able and I spoke to 4 rep and was told it was sent to the back off. As of today 10/17/24 the card is not cancel and per the Supv. Alejamdra it will take up to 30 days to cancel and then they will be able to give me my 175.00 back and my account can not be cancel until then. Wonder how many people they have take money from and advise them it a technical problem and can not be solve until after 30 days.
Their Onfido verification (suddenly required after 7 years as a customer and over $25k timely paid off) never works and I do wonder where all the uploaded copies of my ID end up, especially after their data breach. Won't ever be using Affirm again... Mostly because I can't even if I wanted to because Onfido never, ever works. Buh bye! Lots of other (and better) options out there.
Will not do business with affirm again, I have bought many things, when they make a mistake on ur account, they cannot undo what they have done wrong and it will affect ur credit history, mine was perfect now because of them something is showing up! It was their mistake not mine haven't been late on nothing!
I had 3000 dollars of credit, I have been with them 3 years, they change financial companies my credit score dropped, due to illness, and they took all my credit away, never been late in three years and paid off a lot early, I'm mad
BAN AFFIRM! I have a $#*!ing house and a $#*!ing car. But this company wont allow for a monthly pay on a 2k iphone. Worst customer service, have no answers, told me to wait 3 months to apply back. Apple, you guys can use a better company than these crooks. Already bought my 16 pro max and no thanks to affirm.
Once again I have been locked out of my Affirm account. Once again stuck in a loop between the same screens telling me to enter my phone number to sign in, then they send a code to my phone which I type in. Then a message pops up saying "account already exists, please sign in", and the whole thing starts over. This is happening on all the devices I try and it's happening to a lot of other people besides me. Affirm has by far the worst, most frustrating "prove your identity" routine I have ever dealt with. The only thing worse is dealing with their clueless customer service people on the phone. So again I have no way of making a payment until I go through the maddening process of getting it working. The last time it happened it took three weeks to fix. Needless to say, I am so done with this trash company. I am sure it will be a colossal hassle cancelling my account but that is what I will attempt to do if I can actually get back into my account and pay them off. If not, then I won't pay them off which works for me since they already are ruining my credit by making my payments late.
Thé CS team doesn't know how to solve simple issues, the don't have alternative solutions for any genuine typo made by a customer
I had been using Affirm for several years to purchase items for my resale business. The last year I've had a difficult time staying current with my 20+ loans ($900) because of recent costly $$$ health issues. I've called Affirm a few times, and even spoke to "a manager", and explained my situation. I asked if they could take $50 / wk from my account to help me catch up on my payments. That is not an option. I was told I could "apply" to have some of my loans deferred for a few months, but that's the only resolution they would offer. They won't help me to pay them. I'm so far behind that just making the normal payment on my loans does not stop them from being reported as delinquent. In one month, my credit score dropped by 132 points due to Affirm. When I spoke to the manager, I let him know that they had ruined my credit, and if they couldn't work with me to pay them ($200 / month minimum!), I'm considering just not paying them. Still no offer for assistance. That blows my mind! Unfortunately, paying $50 / wk towards my payments still destroys my credit.
After the call I was emailed a survey. I waited a week or two to open the email. The first question was asking if they had resolved my issue. I tapped no, and then got a pop up that my survey had expired.
FIRST OFF … this makes u give a star! I would give them negative -5 It's a bait and switch. I have the HIGHEST credit score that is possible! I mean legit the highest! They told us that we were approved for zero financing. This does not exist. They gave us a HUGE LINE OF CREDIT…. At 18% interest! I called them to ask them if we don't qualify for 0% who does? They could not answer this question. Why? Because NO ONE ABSOLUTELY NOBODY GETS ZERO PERCENT!
Not to mention that NOT ONE REPRESENTATIVE could speak English AT ALL!
We will be purchasing a mattress. However not Saativa since they use Affirm. It's too bad because I was really looking forward to sleeping on this mattress!
I have used Affirm regularly for the last 2 1/2 years. In the beginning of this month, I received a denial stating that Affirm could not verify my identity. I contacted customer service who was not helpful and stated an agent will contact me within 3 to 5 business days. It's now over three weeks since I made that call so I again contacted Affirm. I could barely understand what the customer representative was saying (again) and was told that there was no record of my last conversation with an agent. And once again I was told someone would call me within 3 to 5 business days.
Mattress…
I purchased a Douglass summit mattress cost $1,467 through affirm, unfortunately i had to returned the mattress because it got pretty hot in the summer. Douglass refunded the money in full back to affirm on the 7th of August and 4 days after affirm refunded me a little over $900 balancing me $489 with no explanation. After numerous phone calls back and forth affirm send me an email today August 21st telling me them sending me a check with the remaining balance and that i must wait 16 business days before the check arrive. I asked them why wasn't i refunded the full amount Douglass had refunded them and why sending me a check with the remaining balance when they can used the same method that they withdraw their biweekly payments from. Up until now nobody can give me an answer. I even spoke with the supervisor and got no answer why i wasn't refunded in full and why they're sending me a check instead of using the same method they used to take my biweekly payment. I regret doing business with affirm because i deeply feel they are running some scam and i feel they're scamming the Canadian government and the Canadian people. I deeply upset and disappointed in their dirty tricks and scam!
Fraudulent scammers. They refuse to give me a refund that the merchant verified as accurate over the phone and via email. They will give you the runaround, blame the merchant, and threaten to send you to collections. Remove any payment methods with them and report them to the Better Business Bureau ASAP! They cannot be trusted with any personal information. I seriously regret getting involved with this sham of a company.
I purchased a Precor Recumbent Bike through Sports & Fitness exchange and financed it with Shop Pay through affirm. I never received the Precor Recumbent Bike as they sold an item the did not even have in stock, which is outright fraud. I was battling with the Sports & fitness exchange for 2 months to get them to give me my money back.
I notified Shop Pay that I never received the item. I attempted to Email Affirm at tell them this was fraud and I never received the item. No response. I thought I had put the account on auto pay as I never want to miss a payment. The auto pay never went through and since no payment off 112.17 was deducted from my account, I thought maybe Affirm was holding my payment until the were finally investigating this fraud. I was wrong. I then received a TEXT from affirm saying my account was over 30 days late and immediately made a payment of $244.37 to AFFIRM. They still reported this to the credit monitoring services and my credit score dropped 59 points from 748 to 689 from 1 late payment even though I had stellar credit.
Sports & Fitness Exchange finally rebated $1466.00 back to AFFIRM, which was the the full amount of the original balance and AFFIRM returned the $244.34 payment to my bank account. However, they won't eliminate the late payment from my credit report even thought it was fraud from the beginning. I called AFFIRM and talked to someone from India. They reported they would expedite this to the highest level of concern. Never happened.
I will never finance anything through the company again. I usually use Paypal and when I have purchased item on the internet through Paypal and you notify them of fraud they will put the account on hold and not ding your credit. Stay away from AFFIRM. Terrible Customer Service
I took out a small loan with Affirm banking. To help myself avoid large interest charges I often made double or even triple payments. When they charged me the full 27 months of interest anyway I contacted them to see what the deal was. They were not helpful and told me I was going to have to pay the full amount of interest even though they could tell I was going to pay my purchase off months early. So basically all of the interest is charged upfront and no matter what you will have to pay the full amount. If you ask me it's illegal! I am filing a complaint with the Federal Reserve as well.
I paid for something I never got and disputed it and contacted the carrier and the seller along with Affirm and I was forced to pay for it. I had other loans and was told it was going to lock me out of my account if I didn't pay that specific one so I defaulted on all of them and was just waiting till it went to collections to pay off the ones for things I actually received yet Affirm doesn't do Good Will or Pay to Delete so my credits ruined. I have no issue paying off everything I actually got but they forced me to pay on something I didn't and made it sound like a a replacement was offered some senior type person and the seller never followed through and ignored me. If they would offer a good will after payment or pay to delete I will pay everything off except the one item. This has ruined my credit and no matter what I do its on there for 7 years. I can't do anything with my credit even with secured credit cards. I've reached out to them over 100 times now about this and nothing.
I would of given them a 5 star but Affirm is really wrong I wanted to pay off a disputed purchase I thought was straightened out the lady told me the dispute would be released and I would be able to pay it off in 3 to 5 business days. 2 weeks passed and the disputed bill became due well on the due date it was asking for money but when I requested to pay they told me I couldn't then the day after said I was delinquent when I requested to have to love ACTIVATED SO I COULD PAY IT OFF THEN MADE IT LOOK LIKE I WAS PAYING LATE WHEN I WAS NOT I BEEN TALKED TO 5 DIFFERENT PEOPLE JUST TO BE LIED TO ABOUT AND ESCALATION TO GET IT RESOLVED PAID AND CLOSED OUT. I TAKE IT THEY FELT LIKE THE MERCHANT WAS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LYING TO ME, SHE TOLD ME THE FIRST TRANSACTION WAS DELCLINED. IM VERY UPSET CAUSE I CANT TALK TO THE PEOPLE WHO TAKE CARE OF THIS I KEEP GETTING RAN IN A CIRCLE WHEN I ASK TO SPEAK TO THE PEOPLE WHO DEAL WITH ESCALATIONS AND REACTIVATION OF AND ACCOUNT. ITS A COOL COMPANY BUT FOR THIS REASON I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THEM. IF YOU GOT DISCOVER OR VISA STICK WITH THEM. CAUSE IT WILL NOT MAKE YOU LOOK BAD AND THEY HANDLE THESE THINGS IMMEDIATELY ESPECIALLY IF YOURE TRYING TO PAY ONE LADY SNICKERED AT ME WHEN SHE SAID SHE WAS SORRY SHE COULDNT HELP. WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD AND I HAVE BEEN LOYAL AND PAY ON TIME.
I ordered a Lady's Rolex Watch from Chrono24.com. The watch was going to cost approximately $6,300.00 Affirm was going to give me an 18-month loan on the watch. The watch was being shipped from the United Kingdom. I received a notice for US Customs that the watch was seized as being Counterfeit, with an estimate actual value of $109.00. Affirm is demanding that I continue to make loan payments. Do not take a loan from this company. If there is a problem, they will not help you. I do not know who much clearer of a situation there could be. I never received the watch, and it was determined to be counterfeit.
Answer: On paper legit, sort of, but really a scam. They aren't even who you are financing with.
Answer: I had heard of the company because a friend actually knows the owner. Very sorry I did worst experience I have ever had.
Answer: It's not. They now also are charging large interest amounts. Don't use them.
Answer: Follow Walmart's lead... don't use them! Affirm makes everything complicated.
