I dont have the shoes yet but have owned 4 pair to this point. I have Mortons neuroma and these shoes offer the best and widest toe box on the market and the best relief for my condition. The extra thick soles also add to the comfort.
This is my first pair of Solstice shoes... but my 9th pair of Altra shoes. I also have two more pairs of Solstice coming. I do not run. I like Altras for my everyday shoe. The Solstice is true to size. The shoe locks down your heel, laces down real nice, and lets your toes splay freely. The shoe is real comfortable, plenty of cushion, flexible without any foot slide in the shoe... plus they look nice.
It was such a quick process to find and purchase my shoes! Cant wait to receive them. I was originally going to purchase them through another provider but unfortunately they didnt carry my size. When I went on the website it was a quick shopping process.
I bought these shoe because my friend told me about them his feet hurt as well. I hope they work. If you can tell me a good every day walking shoe if you have them that would be great.

Stoked to pick up another pair of shoes from Altra! Ive been wearing Superiors, Lone Peaks, and most recently the Timps. These new King Mts are yet another stellar shoe for anyone that wants to be active outdoors! I can backpack and play softball in the same pair of shoes!
I used to suffer with pain in my heels, but not since I started wearing Altra shoes. I'm not much of a runner. I purchase the shoes for comfort.
Just placed my order and was very easy to do. I have not received my order yet, so will further evaluate when I do.
About two months ago a friend of mine recommended that I give the Altra running shoes a try. Since then I have acquired three different pairs of their shoes. The Lone Peak 3.5, Escalantes, and the Vail. All three of them are extremely comfortable to wear and seem to be holding up very well. Due to the amount of running and other activities that I do, over time I started to have issues with the compression of my toes. I eventually started wearing the Injinji toe socks which helped tremendously and continue to do so daily. Now that I have a sneaker for just about any activity, the added benefit of having more freedom at the front of the shoe has made every day much more comfortable!

I have tried all kinds of shoes to fit my wider feet but the mainstream just doesn't work. I have been left to only buy Clarke shoes which are great but not really light or made for performance. Further, the New Balance box toes didn't fit the bill either, just not boxy enough. In comes the Altra on a recommendation from a friend and I have found the shoe. It fits, it's light, and it's great on performance. I now have four pairs of Altras and have earned the wrath of my wife for so many, but I've told her these will last a long time since they're built so well.
I am not a runner, but I love the Altra Running Shoes. I use mine for every day. I work 12-16 hour days on my feet, and these shoes keep my feet comfortable all day. The best shoes ever! Sincerely, Kathy Croucher
I love Altra shoes. They are wider in the front but still narrow in the back, which is totally what I need. I own their Superior and just purchased the Solstice. Their website is easy to use, and their people on the phone are knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks, Altra, for an awesome experience!

My husband is running the 2018 Boston marathon this year and he saw the Boston Escalante shoes on your site a while back. Try as we might, they were all out of stock for his size, everywhere! He was so upset because he loves his Altras and wanted those particular shoes so bad. Thankfully they have been offered again and his size was in stock. I got the email and jumped on that purchase. He received them them other day and ran with them this morning. He loves them and is excited he snagged a pair so he can wear them in Boston. I run only in Altra's these days. They have kept me running marathons with the Max cushioning. I've had approx. 10 pairs now and they all worked great for me. Very good customer support also, I have returned a few pairs of shoes because one thing or another but always got credited back on my purchase!! Outstanding!!! Thanks!!

This is my 3rd pair of Altras. Comfortable, light and blister free. Wore one pair (Lone Peak Mid) walking the Camino de Santiago. Bought one size bigger and were just right.
