I always try to find items which qualify for free shipping (for orders over $35). I find that I don't really need to pay for 2-day shipping or anything faster, because my items were nearly always shipped within 2 days (most of them on the day after ordering), and they always arrive on the day following being shipped out. The fast shipping speed may be the result of me living in the Greater Toronto Area, near major distribution nodes or depots. Maybe they have the items I want in stock in the local depot by chance and don't need to ship them in from far away. I live in a condo therefore the chance of losing the parcel is small (I see most negative reviews here are from lost deliveries leading to slow refund or lack of acknowledgement of refund request).

Amazon.ca used to carry a lot of quality items at decent prices, but for the last two years, it's slowly become a cesspool of overpriced junk.
I've learned that you can't trust the descriptions or the reviews and be sure to compare prices elsewhere before buying because most of the time the items are ridiculously overpriced!
Thank goodness their returns are easy and they now are up to four separate return carriers. They must have a tremendous amount of returns!

They don't honor warranty anymore. If the return window is close it is over. You are on your own. No more warranty on the item. They are like aliexpress now, which is very bad.

You might think amazon same company works the same in all the countries. Big mistake. American Amazon is. Just the best of the best, never experienced any issues. Now I wanted to buy some items for my friend who resides in Canada - big issues, like dropping the phone, saying that they issued the refund and there is no refund. I am shocked with the attitude. Never buy with Canadian amazon.I will never buy with them again in Canada.

Being disabled, I went to drop by my mother's apartment and had to park on the street due to an AMAZON delivery truck parked in the only disabled spot. There happened to be plenty of street parking 45 feet away so I have no idea why this driver felt he had entitlement to do this to the disabled. Shame on him and shame on AMAZON.

Terrible customer service
September 14, 2023

I was called a racist term by the customer service manager when he got angry. They don't care because they think their business model is forever. That's now how it works.

Hopeless
September 6, 2023

Sorry, I actually called Amazon to give a positive review for a Driver as I'm sure they get many negative. He went above and beyond by hiding my package behind the bench. First got the Amazon in the US that they put me through to Canada. We're neither one could find my account but honestly they have no trouble taking money out of my bank account. Hopelessness people.

I bought an Amazon Echo over a year ago and it has stopped working when it should last a few years. I asked for a compromised price on a new one. I was told that 30 days has already passed and there was nothing they can do, and this was from a supervisor! I feel like I want nothing more to do with Amazon after that call. I am guessing that this is a new call centre in The Phillipines. It is a pity because agents at the call centre in Jamaica were a pleasure to talk to and left me with good feelings about shopping with Amazon. Now, it looks like shopping with Amazon is over for me.

Why be a Prime Member?
August 24, 2023

I have just canceled my Prime Membership of 7+years.
I purchased a guitar beginners set for my grandson for his 17th bday on August 11th, 2023.
If there happens to be anything wrong or just dont want it anymore, they expect YOU to take it back to a UPS or Canada Post depot in order for you to receive a refund. Even tho it was Intelcom who dropped it off.
Except, that's a little difficult for me or anyone who maybe disabled from a back injury and have no vehicle to get it there! So. Basically I'd have to throw it over my shoulder and carry it on my back!
Amazon doesn't care. Nope, that's not their problem! Try contacting customer service, that's a joke. When they dont have a solution to the issue, Amazon Canada's customer service just either disconnects the chat or "accidentally" hangs up.
You MF'ers have LOST a loyal customer of 7+years!
Amazon Canada's CSR's are rude n more than half the time, don't understand what ur trying to say.
There is a language barrier every single time I've tried contacting them for anything.

I recently had a less-than-stellar experience with Amazon. I ordered a gift with the added touch of gift wrapping, intending to give it to my friend tomorrow. To my disappointment, the gift arrived without the promised wrapping. When I reached out to customer service, they said they couldn't resend the wrapping and instead just offered a refund. I wasn't interested in a mere $4.49 refund; I was hoping for a reliable and efficient service, especially given the importance of the occasion. Quite let down with this experience

I'm done with Amazon. Constant false advertising. These glasses for example. I bought these glasses on Amazon they were supposed to be wireless. The first pair sent to me has a battery pack and a wire. The second pair doesn't even look like what they're advertising. Now I've had to drive to the Post Office twice to return items that where falsely advertised on Amazon. This is bs! If sellers are sending out things that we didn't order why are we responsible for driving it to the post office to send it back. This is infuriating. I'm done with this nonsense. Look at my photos to see what I mean. Also this is not the 1st 2nd 3rd or 4 time I've had to return items that where falsely advertised. And the best part is you have to wait up to 2 weeks to be reimbursed even after you send the item back. What an effing joke.

Nobody has a phone that works. Connections all sound like they are underwater. System is ALWAYS down. Always asked to call back. The verification process is horrible. If you can get past the automated system a live person will send you a verification text THEN ask you for ALL your info. Name, address, email, and then ask you to spell it all. Because they people have to type it all out. It's a 10 min process. Nobody speaks proper English either. Hate calling Amazon. Need to stop shopping with them. They are truly awful.

Customer service use to be awesome. Since 2013, customer service has gone downhill. Hopefully Amazon decides to replace them with AI customer service. ChatGPT based interaction would definitely be more helpful. Human customer service at amazon are useless.

Amazon loves dropping things on your doorstep at any random time in a rainstorm without notice. They will ship countless plastic item already wrapped in plastic, into another wasteful large plastic Amazon bubble wrap sleeve or envelope. Yet when sending an unwrapped paper products such as a paperback book, they will stuff it in an oversized brown Amazon paper envelope and toss it on your uncovered doorstep for everything to get completely destroyed in the rain without ringing the doorbell. Receiving a 'delivered' notice the next morning reveals the ruined item's arrival sometime the previous evening. I did an Amazon search for 'common sense' and they had none in stock!
