Buyer beware. The Zenbook Duo that I wanted wasn't available to see in person at Best Buy, so I purchased it from the ASUS store. While the design is cool, the screen graphics on the base model (not the Pro) were HORRIBLE. Basic PDFs were tough to read. Spent $1,300 more on the Zenbook Duo 14 Pro and was notified of a 16% return fee when I went to return the original computer. Just ridiculous on both fronts. I gave it the extra star because the extra monitor on the keyboard is a neat feature although I've heard it overheats.
Tried to contact Asus via their instructed Covid Policy method last year. Which required submitting online a repair ticket. After submitting everything, I was to receive a response within 48 hours. This response never came. I tried this probably 3-4 times and gave up. Now they finally have people you can talk to, however, I missed the window of the warranty coverage. Customer services ZERO stars in my opinion.
I got a portable ASUS monitor. I didn't use it for a month. When I finally went to use it to find it didn't work. I packaged it up and sent it ASUS for a warranty repair. I get a notice back that there is a scratch on the screen so the warranty is void. They didn't even examine why the monitor wouldn't turn on. They send a picture of the scratch and said too bad. By the way, we will fix it for you but it will cost you more than going out an buying another one. Runaway from ASUS products. You learn about a company when things go bad. ASUS is a terrible company.
Bought a new Asus laptop. Screen cracked simply by adjusting the screen to adjust glare and screen cracks. Normal useage this computer had to have been manufactured with a defect that manifested itself during the warranty period Asus refuses to honor their warranty by their own admission they said it was internal damage. IF I CAN SAVE ONE PERSON FROM THEIR POOR SERVICE BY AVOIDING PURCHASING THEIR PRODUCTS IN THE FIRST PLACE MY TIME HAS NOT BEEN WASTED
I needed a laptop fast. The store I went to was sold out of the HP I wanted to purchase so I ended up going with ASUS as I remembered a computer tech telling me ASUS was good, he said not ACER. But ASUS! It's been over 6 months I've been working with mine and I felt the need to post a review on how great my experience has been, way better than HP, for sure. Super satisfied and will definitely return to ASUS for future needs.
I will never buy another piece of asus hardware after the nightmare of buying this pos g15 laptop. Its been nothing but trouble since the day I got it. The network card constantly crashes and resets. Or just stops working period. The screen randomly won't turn on after a shutdown. Its a glorified paperweight. Just trying to contact asus was a nightmare of its own. Wasted a whole day on hold just to get disconnected. If I could rate a zero I would. As far as I'm concerned asus is a company of thieves and scammers.
ASUS laptop broke, was still in warranty, I did absolutely nothing to damage the laptop, took great care of it was 100% down to the manufacturing.
My laptop broke only a few days before I was travelling to Peru and I needed my laptop, as I had read how slow the ASUS warranty was to repair I took it somewhere else in Newcastle first to see if they could fix it before I left. They told me it would be around £100 but they couldn't for 2 weeks so I sent it to ASUS as I still had a warranty.
I sent it off as it was part of the warranty. They then told me that they would charge me £250 to fix it, if wanted it sent back unrepaired they would charge me £50!
Terrible never again
Here I bought my first computer to college. More than 3 years it is working ok. I had only once fixed some details but the company made it for my guarantee.
After 5 months my son's gaming laptop faced the death black screen problem. When we sent the computer to repair they came up with several different excuses until they just claimed that the USBs ports are rusted and as so they will not replace the motherboard which causes the problem. This is really frustrating. I really don't recommend to buy anything from this company
The battery drains so fast even if you don't use it. Asus should really work on their battery life. Total disappointment. Would not recommend at all.
Shame on ASUS for capitulating to MS by insisting their new computer can only be initialized the first time by MS forcing the new computer user to HAVE TO USE/CREATE a MS mail box.
Seems there is no way [at the moment anyway] to circumvent this MS nonsense
R E A L L Y ASUS, as an organizational entity you should be ashamed of yourselves...
Love my ROG laptop from Asus. Amazing quality for the money I paid. Recommend this brand to all of the people asking me for advice.
I have been using Rog phone 3 for the past few months though the phone feels great in terms of performance but it is riddled with issues. The black crush issue and screen framerate issues are present in almost all phones and noticeable and officially asus haven't even gave a statement, they rolled out few updates but it did next to nothing and now a flagship phone feels worse than a midranger.
Bought my ASUS laptop less than two years ago.
A couple of months after the end of the warranty, the screen hinge detached by itself - had to pay good money and wait THREE months to get it fixed.
Now a couple of months later, the laptop irremediably refuses to start up.
This may very well be the worst purchase I've ever made. Will make sure to never buy an Asus product ever again, and you should do the same
I sent my product in to be repaired under warranty to ASUS and this picture was sent to me stating that this opening in my product and scratches was the cause of it not powering on. There was no openings or cracks in my product when I sent it off. This is my first encounter ever dealing with a repair situation, so I did not occur to me to take pictures of my product before sending and you would think customer service would have made the suggestion of taking a picture of my product before sending it in. So the breakdown in communication through customer service is not appreciated. Then I called and was told that my keyboard was also dented. How does a keyboard get dented? This product stopped working in the middle of usage not because of a ding or scratch and if ASUS's products are not built to withstand scratches and minor dings, then consumer purchases may need to be reconsidered. I have other laptops that I have for my kids with scratches and minor dings that are working just fine. That opening in my product is the result of someone else.
For anyone who is dealing with this company and their customer service just BEWARE this may be the reason they do not suggest taking pictures to unsuspecting customers, like myself, so that these types of things can happen. Their INTEGRITY is questionable. No honest person should have to deal with this. Why would I knowingly send a damaged product in with expectations of being fixed under warranty? I could have just went to Best Buy down the street and had it fixed instead of the long process of sending it off and waiting to get it back THAT SIMPLE THIS IS UPSETTING!
Good experience. Delivery was faster than advertised! No issues at all. Laptop looks amazing. Highly recommended this store!
Asus is the best ever company I been their customer for more than 20 years. Quality of their products is incredible. And always helpful customer support!
The Asus company is coming out with good and quality device and another tech that is also very affordable
I was told to send in my defective motherboard, they replied that it has physical damage the warranty didnt cover. The picture they sent showed damaged pins. I started a dispute over it and sent them a picture i took of the board in the box i sent them without damage. They claim that they cant prove that the board in my pic and the one they have are the same. I ask for everything back so i can simply return it, but when i recaived it, it was missing components and was in a different box. So now i cant return it. I called them and they replied "sorry but theres nothing we can do". They are thieves and liars
I have had 3 Asus laptops in the last 11 years. My original still works, the power finally went out on one 8 years in after daily gaming and video editing. They are built well, and though support can take some time to fix things most errors I found were driver issues that were caused by Windows updates. I have called them for router support and will say their live chat and email works easier. They have helped me with products purchased over 5 years prior, and though sometimes I did not get the answer I wanted or the answer instantly I always got an accurate answer.
My only critique is that because they make so many products, if someone is not specific in the support they are looking for there are many departments and filtering to what you are looking for support on could be made easier and with less steps. To someone knowing what the issue is or specific product it is very easy to use. Overall they are a brand I recommend to anyone as a generally to incredibly reliable product.
