The overall reputation of the company reflects a significant divide in customer experiences. Positive feedback highlights affordable pricing and satisfactory returns through specific programs, indicating some customers find value in the offerings. However, a majority of reviews reveal deep dissatisfaction, particularly regarding customer service, with frequent complaints about long wait times, communication breakdowns, and difficulties in processing returns and refunds. Many customers express frustration over product quality and fulfillment delays, suggesting a need for improved operational efficiency and customer support. This inconsistency in service presents a challenge for the company's long-term customer loyalty.

Omg returning is a nightmare. 7-10 days for a mailed return label (they misprinted mine oops). After being told I would be emailed one (haha she was mistaken, not our policy). So finally the label comes and I return a coat I tried on once, ONCE, no tags removed, put right back in the plastic, packed along with a pair boots to be returned. No refund for the coat. Apparently it wasn't in a returnable condition. I can either pay to have it back or have it sent to charity. Now I don't mind charity. I have a favorite right up the street that gets all of my hardly worn items I get on clearance and can't return. When it's made CLEAR I won't be seeing my money again. So if you're reading this, go into shopping on Avenue knowing you may or may not get a refund. And a lot of their items are hand wash hang to dry. Good if you've got money and time to burn, but there are waaaay better sites.
I recently purchased two pairs of dress pants from a store in Texas and when I wore one pair within two hours the seams were falling apart and they were the appropriate size. I was upset and went back to the store and the very rude associate told me they would not accept the pair that was worn because they can't resell them. They wanted to resell defective clothing. In no sense is that appropriate. Then when I was trying to return the unworn pair, she was very short with me and told me they couldn't accept the pair because it was wrinkled and had a few cat hairs on it because, "people have cat allergies". I have heard some terrible reasons as to why things can't be returned, but that one blew my mind. I regret ever stepping into the store and wasting my money. The company was useless when I contacted them and wanted to charge me more. I will never shop with this horrible company ever again. Their clothes are overpriced, the quality is terrible and their customer service is laughable. Don't waste your money, there are plenty of other reputable plus size clothing stores that know how to treat customers correctly. I hope Avenue as a company gets shut down soon so others don't have the same problems.
The quality of the clothing varies. Sometimes the active wear tends to fade rather quickly. I prefer to shop the sales section and can get some great clothes for very good prices. The sizing seems very accurate and the colors and styles are actually quite attractive. It is a plus-size clothing site, but it is not as cost-prohibitive as Lane Bryant. I have been satisfied thus far.
I love their clothes... I seriously adore everything I've ever bought there. My ONLY complaint is I don't feel I receive the quality for which I pay. When I pay $60 for a shirt, I expect the beading and jewelry on the tops to NOT fall apart after the 3rd wash.
Their returns department is terrible. They say you returned something damaged, or without tags, or too late. I never had multiple issues with any other company as I've had with avenue. Be prepared to argue with customer service about any returns you make. They do not care about the customer and I give them an F for customer service.
I purchased 3 capris from Avenue and returned them in perfect condition less than 90 days but above their 60 day window. They would not refund me but to make things worse they gave me two options. Donate the items to charity or charge me $7.95 to return the items. I opted to have the items returned and they charged me the $7.95 however the items were never returned to me. When I called they said they would look into it. I never received a follow up call or my items. I was now out $75.00.
The Avenue used to be reputable and provide good service but stay away. They have no interest in addressing your concerns.
I got sample but did not keep sent back with promise of my 96 pound as soon as thy received it thy signed for it on the 8th of the month still no refund
Today I called to see why I didn't get refunded on a bra I sent back. I was told because it had been worn and did not have a tag attached. I told the lady, who wasn't so nice, that I literally wore it for 2 hours and it totally fell apart. Wire out both side and stitching around it had completely separated. Didn't matter, tag has to be on, not just sent back with item, or no refund. I said I had to take the tag off to wear it! I had bought 3 other bras with this one and after 1 or 2 wearings they are also coming apart. Very, very poor quality. I was told someone contacted me to tell me they could not refund the bra. That never occurred. AND I HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE IT RETURNED TO ME! Do not recommend buying bras from this company. I wish I had read their reviews before buying. Horrible!
"I purchased two bras from Avenue that both had different size underwires sewn into the bra, rendering one side too large, digging into my skin. They were obviously from the same defective lot. They would not exchange them, or refund my $. So now I will be taking this to the better business bureau to try to find some resolution. I would never recommend shopping at a store that sells defective goods, and then won't refund your money. Terrible customer service."
Answer: Shein, although the quality is not as good. It is cheaper and they have an excellent return policy and customer service as well. Avoid Woman Within.
Answer: Yes. Everything was above board. I got a refund the same day I dropped of my return.
