I have had a very good experience with the standard or ordinary membership of Bark. I can highly recommend it's services to anyone.

However I had a very BAD experience with the Elite Pro category. All the free credits that I got the prospective customers will either have hired someone or they don't respond at all.
Some prospective customers will tell you they have hired someone yet I will be the only one who has purchased the lead. Prospective customers don't respond to the messages that I will have sent them or they don't answer their phones.

Regarding your concerns with Elite Pro, we understand it can be frustrating when customers don’t respond. The free responses included in your Elite Pro benefits apply to leads that have been out for 48 hours with no prior responses. While some customers may have already hired someone by the time you reach out, these older leads give you the opportunity to respond to a few more without using credits.

Please note that all leads are still covered by our Credit Return Policy if they contain invalid contact details or inaccurate information. If you come across any leads that meet this criteria, please reach out to team@bark.com so our team can review them.

A lot of the leads do not have much information attached. A lot of the time the phone numbers either don't work at all or you cannot whats app The leads are now quite expensive aswell..

My Experience

I came to bark in search of a hypnotherapist which I found and had a fairly good experience with. However, on my second encounter for a different service, there was what claimed to be a small business offering reiki and other services. Unfortunately this person turned out to be a scammer. It's sad that this person was allowed to slip through the cracks on a refutable business platform, and I did report them. I will no longer be using bark because of this, but it may be helpful for some.

Bark is very good at channeling end customers to their site and using the minimum number of steps to generate a lead but this lack of thorough lead qualification, lack transparency provided to the customer on how the contractor side of the process works and lack of customers 'skin in the game' means that much contractor time and money is wasted.
Contractors can get their credits returned if they can get the customer to say they no longer need a contractor but from our experience about 75% of leads don't respond to phone calls, txt's and emails in the first place so this doesn't happen.
When we've explained to a customer that contractors have to pay for their lead they are usually quite surprised and had no idea how the process works.
To avoid time wasters it would be good if the customer paid a small fee for the service. Another approach might be to create a customer profile and a facility where the contractor could leave feedback on how they found the customer. As a minimum there could be a feedback setting where a contractor could say whether a customer returned their initial communication.

Great leads but no yet hired

I've been using Bark for a while now. This app has great leads unfortunately individuals looking to hire someone, they are looking for deals and projects way under industry standard fees. I am still buying leads because eventually I will get hired. I am giving this app the benefit of doubt if actually any professional does get hired using Bark.

Bad Service

I paid for my coins and some how the two emails were intertwined so the representant said she fixed it. I have not gotten any leads. It was a waist of money!

Unproductive service

Most of the leads are not looking for care professionals. They are extremely expensive, and you have to pay before you can contact the client, but you do not get the job. It looks like they are fraudsters.

Requested solar panel installers. Within 20 minutes 1 company contacted me with a quote.
Company 2 MUKTECH contacted me via whatsapped and sent me a quote.Eric the owner then requested a site visit which happened soon after our conversation.
Needless to say, MUKTECH installed my system and I am 90% off grid.
He was also the cheapest quote with more to offer.

Good in theory, not in practice

There is not enough information left by people in the lead detail to know if it's worth purchasing. Leads are expensive-why the different "cost" to each lead? Have had zero actual clients after purchasing 2 packages. Disappointing.

Mostly Good

I found it quite difficult at first to interpret the difference between someone who is interested in using your services, someone who has looked at your profile, and just organic leads.

I do think the process could be improved because there are a lot of time wasters. It has taken much of my time and money to get to the 'real' leads.

That said, I have found the customer service to be excellent, and have, on a few occasions received credit returns when I have raised concerns.

I have invested approximately £900 so far and from that have 5 regular customers.

If there was a better way of weeding out the time wasters, this platform could go form good to excellent.
