So greatly disappointed in our experience! We went very open & honest if we couldn't get what we wanted in our budget it was ok. We spent hours waiting for financial to respond if it's possible. They came back no. So said ok and left the store. In the parking lot the sales man comes running out management said they'll make it happen. My husband asked "within our budget?" He said yes. We spent more hours waiting for financing to do paper work. Total of 6 hours in store! We get an email congrats on new camper got financed send paperwork. We did it. Every time we sent in paper work we didn't get a response that it was received and had to ask several times. The day before we are to go buy the new camper my husband couldn't get a call back to make sure all set. I had to email managers to get a response. 30 mins before close we get a call have to have $9,000 more down and $200 over our budget a month! Unacceptable! We had all ready moved and emptied our camper off the site based on email that said all finance was set & had campgrounds cut a tree so new one would fit. I made complaints to cooperate and regional because this is bad business! I did get a call from manager would give me a new camper but still over budget and not the layout I want. You don't tell us can do it and then be so far off the agreement! I am getting a new camper & will never buy from them for their snake like behavior!
Mechanics did a wonderful job. I'll beg anyone who buys a camper or RV from this location. Please read all fine print before signing anything. When I was told it was a diagnostic to screw my latch on my door and I was charged another diagnostic fee just to hammer for nails and my ceiling panel. $200. I got gypped for something that I could do with them myself in 15 minutes but I chose not to to avoid warranty. I am highly pissed and I doubt I will come to this location ever again, I am pissed ladies at front desk do a horrible job explaining things so please please read all five print or bring someone who is knowledgeable of this with you. Once again, Mckenzie did a great job but service for dish was horrible and charged me for something. I told her I did but it's my fault because I should've read it will never ever happen again so I'm warning you so you won't make the same mistake especially with Melisa. I pacifically told her not to charge me for anything if she does call me including diagnostic. I admit for me being in a rush to meet a contractor at my house quickly signed the paper, but the short her to call me before I be charged for anything
I would not even give them a 1 star! Camping world Oxford Alabama has made our life missable. And corporate is evil!. So sneaky and liars! Had to take our 2021 camper in 6 times in 11 months! And they made it worse with more repairs each time. Communication terrible. Had to drive there several times to get any information! Hour each way! Will never use any camping world again!
My husband and I purchased a used 2021 Keystone Montana 5th Wheel from CW of Concord on the 8th of July. The sole purpose of buying this camper was so we can live in it while we sell our current home and build another. We also purchased an extended warranty. CW explained that they inspect their campers and we did a walk through the day of purchase. The camper was delivered to us on the 28th of July. We had no way of hauling at this time. We then had power and sewer hooked up and we were moved in 2 weeks later. After 2 days of being in the camper, the gray tank needed to be emptied. We went to empty the black tank first and the handle would not pull out. It was stuck. So my dad calls them while I was at work and left a message for a mobile service tech. She calls later that day after I arrive home, but would not speak with him. Once I got on the phone with her, she had a bit of an attitude. I explained to her what was wrong and she informed me that we had to bring in the camper. I told her we are not able to haul it yet, plus we are living in it. So that's impossible. She said that is the only way it would get fixed. I, being frustrated at this point, said I should have never purchased a camper from them because of all the negative reviews. She then hung up on me. I then reached out to my salesman, who was great by the way, and he replied that he would forward the email to the service manager. I have to get a response. Since then, the kitchen sink was backing up. As we took the plumbing loose from the sink, black stagnant water was in the pipes all the way through the roof of the camper. Now we have to look for a second gray tank. We find it after days of searching and the cord is missing. My dad gets it drained and now the kitchen sink is working properly. Also, we cant get water to work in the residential refrigerator in the camper. My point to this review is that we paid $7,000.00 for an extended warranty and $68,000.00 for the camper and they were supposed to "inspect" the camper before they brought it to us. There is no way possible an inspection was done. They knew up front that we would be living in the camper and never once said we would have to bring it to them whenever there is a problem. Had these issues not happened immediately after delivery, I can understand. They failed to do their job and we are paying the price for it. I have contacted the CEO of the company and I'm currently waiting on a response. I also, have video of a service guy going through the camper work is. He never once pulled on the black tank release valve. The fact that the water in the plumbing lines was black and stagnant confirmed no inspection was done. I never write bad reviews but I feel this is warranted. If I can't get anywhere with the CEO, I will proceed further.
Bought a used winnebego from the wentzville missouri store and had an average experience i guess purchasing it.some employees descent others i think less caring of the customer.not a big deal but we purchased a 2021 winnebego mini (used) wasnt really a great deal but felt good about buying our first camper from a place with warranties and service department and accessories so took a chance on it.the service manager and desk guy were awesome and our sales guy was descent too(didn't really have to sell us though)we knew what we wanted so was an easy purchase.problem i had was they charged us a $1000 fee to replace the battery and do a complete and thorough walk through with us and inspection of the camper to make sure everything was good and ready to go...well what we realized after we took it to indiana was that we basically paid $1000 for a battery! We climbed the ladder and immediately noticed two holes on roof that were easily noticeable and should've been caught during the so called thorough inspection.i sealed it up in two minutes and off i went.also my brother in law who owns one already walked us through the process of owning a traveler trailer and the how toos of everything involved with owning one.took him abound 15 minutes and learned way more than the almost nothing we learned during the thorough walk through.after learning the how toos we decided to try and add the water and flush it all but found out that water tank was already full and as we drained it to practice flushing realized that we were flushing the previous owners waste! It was never drained and flushed at camping world which I assumed was part of my $1000 thorough inspection...not to mention i drove it from st louis to indiana with a full water tank not knowing it was full...long story short.pretty good people but make sure you check all your stuff "thoroughly" after they have done it "thoroughly " for $1000 or youll end up with a $1000 battery like me
All of the staff at Camping World in London, Ky were amazing! All the way down to the finance dept. Thank you Nate for your assistance and service. We highly recommend this location.

Camping World has Super Shady Practices! I was researching the value of our camping trailer. I put in my info on a couple sites looking for retail price on our trailer so I could list it. Camper World called me asking to purchase or co-signed it for us. Something I had not considered. I talked to my husband and we realized we might take a small loss on it, but that would be worth the time it would take to list and talk to potential buyers. We agreed to co-sign our trailer with them under a 90 day contract, which they stated they were confident they could sell it. They listed it for 40k way over high MSRP value, which was 36k. Half way through they lowered it to 36k which was still to high. They did not price it it sell, I feel they priced it to keep it in inventory because they did not have a 2021 Forest River Hood Edition r-pod 202. Either way we were getting 26k regardless of what it sold for. I understand they need to make a profit, but let's keep it realistic. To my knowledge (looking online) they never did lower it beyond 36k. After the 90 days they said they would give us 17k, stating the summer was almost over and it would be harder to sell. At which point we said we would pick it up. Then to top it all off they lost our license plate (they did deliver our r-pod to us as we had no license plate and offered to reimburse us the cost of the plate).I understand that they needed to make profit, but felt this entire deal was extremely shady. No one ever contacted me unless I contacted them first. If we had not been under contract I would have picked it long before the 90 days and sold it on my own. I have learned my lesson. I nor any of my family members will deal with Camper in World for any reason, (buy, trade or sell) ever again.
After seeing all these horrible reviews, guess where I'm NOT going to purchase ANYTHING. I appreciate everyone's "warning".
Camping World reminds me of the Old Kmart. They mark prices up, Then Force you to pay $39.99 to become a Good Sam rewards member to get a discount you should get to begin with. Mark up to mark down tactic. The old Blue light special! They lost me to General RV. Better shelf prices! No Hoax sales. Thanks General RV.
Rude and aggressive staff. Their "friendly" advertising does not match who they are as a company. Don't go!
I was trading in my fifth wheel for a newer one but they had to do a inspection on my fifty wheel first, I was told that I had a crack weld on the frame and it would cost me $ 15,000.00 to repair so I got my insurance company involved and go to find out that was not the case, to make a long story short they did not know what they were talking about I glad I did not agree to that. On the new fifth wheel I brought I ask them to fix a few small items, so the day I picked up my newer camper they give me a walk through and during the walk through I see these things were not done that I requested and the camper was never cleaned inside, one of the shade were not in the right location so instead of fixing it they give me the run around go to find glue on with some kind of rubber that I will have to fix right when I get home, this was going on over five hours that day at the dealer. Bottom line I feel they don't care about their customer and their communication is not good at all. After getting the camper home I was flushing the system out and the toilet was leaking, they did come out and replaced the toilet, but it should of been caught during there preparation for me along with a missed sewer cap I replaced broken refrigerator light I replaced hot water heat shield not in the proper place, spare tire was at 45 psi and the main tires were at 95 psi how could that happen, the awning were never cleaned, they have a lot of opportunity for improvement.
BEST JOB EVER DREAM JOB WAITED A LIFE TIME TO WORK HERE,LOVE THE OUTDOORS LOVE EDUCATING PEOPLE ON THEIR VACATIONS AND NEW CAMPERS!

General manager made his employees lie to make a sale. When confronted he threatened the employees job if he spoke to his customers again after being caught.
Bought a new motor home December 2022 and as of this date August 2023 we haven't been able to use it. It has been in the shop most of the time. We have a lemon law lawyer handing our case. Warning-buyer beware. Please check the reviews before buying! You will be glad you did.
BEWARE- Slated to buy a camper…check in hand arrived after a 9 hour drive to pick up camper only to find it damaged because it was set up incorrectly. And sat there for over two days with water dripping and the condensation from the AC that flooded over the over flow pan. Opened the door and the entire mattress was soaked and the flooring soaked already showing signs of warping. Zero effort on Camper Worlds end to make it right. All they did is continue to pressure and gaslight me into buying it. Claiming "nothing is wrong…it is fine…it will dry…." Yet clearing the damage could be seen. No offer to correct the issue- NONE. No compensation in price, no offer to replace the plywood, no offering a warranty, no offer for reimbursement of time and travel. When I asked for, at the very least, if they cover the cost for us to come pick it up I was basically told too bad, while still being gaslit. If I had agreed to buy the camper in the condition that we found it obviously that would not be an issue but the damage occurred AFTER I agreed to buy it…. Come on Camper World do better! Gio the general manager has zero sympathy or customer service skills.
Went to camping world and had hreat service by technician ken. Will return he went above and beyound
After getting my trailer delivered and going over it I found a ding in the front of this new trailer, a bent strut on a stabilizer as well as a bent cross member on the frame. I had to staple and/or glue pieces of trim back in place. The tongue jack quit working the first time I attempted to hitch it to my truck.
They assured me multiple times that my less than perfect credit was not a problem only to drive one hour and find out that they lied multiple times. Now, after looking at different reviews online, I'm thankful. I feel like I just dodged a bullet. Would never recommend and if I could give zero stars, I would.
My husband and I signed papers to buy a camper trailer last Thursday. The process was as overwhelming and time-consuming as buying a car. We had a bottom line price we wanted to spend on the camper and ended up adding about $5,000 more with warranty, protective coating, and taxes. There was actually a charge of over $1,400 to "get the camper ready" for us, which I thought was a bunch of bologna in the first place. Let me tell you how that has worked out thus far.
After signing the papers Thursday, we were supposed to pick up the trailer Friday. When we went to pick it up, there was an exterior light out, and the brakes on the trailer were not working. (Because my husband is familiar with driving trailers, he knew how to test the trailer's brakes; I wonder what would happen to the first-time buyer who doesn't know better and has to stop quickly and the trailer rams into his/her car and possibly a car ahead of him/her.)
Back to the story - we were supposed to be able to pick it up the following Monday, but nobody called. I called several times today (Tuesday); it took me three times and several minutes on hold to find out the camper was indeed ready for pick-up. When we got there, the brakes were still not working. The service techs had assumed it was fixed as they found a bad connection. However, it was not the connection; it was the brakes. They had not even checked the brakes! I would think that checking the brakes would be part of the $1,400+ charge! At any rate, the trailer is still being serviced, so up to this point, we have never left the lot with our camper. My husband and I are extremely disappointed, to say the least.
Answer: Honestly, the more I look to find answers on Camping world, the more negative reviews I see, had an RV dropped off a Forklift while I was signing papers! Try to beat that! New RV and dropped off a forklift. Worse yet, the corporate managers DID NOT WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT, that folks is the legit truth! It's one thing for accidents to happen, it's another to not make things right, bad management!
Answer: Yes I have emails to show. That I have been promised a refund waiting this line I expect a full refund and the run around is with it. If would like I can forwarded you the emails and you can ask where's my check.
Answer: Terrible - didn't seem to care and basically told me I was on my own
Answer: The people at camping world will tell you that they will call you. BULL! They never called me, so I tried calling them FIVE times! Not one return call. Not very reputable!
Answer: Just keep writing letters to all of the local politicians.
