I was suckered as well. They promised that I could opt-out at any time, but then the "opt-out" feature didn't work, no matter how many times I tried to use it. There was no answer at the phone number given, no email address for contact is given, and a few days later they charged me $44.85. I disputed the transaction with my bank and sent a demand letter to CheckThem to cancel my "service" and refund my money.
I'd be surprised if any of the favorable reviews were legitimate - they are probably ginned up by the thieves themselves.
I did a one time lookup that was $2.95...then they let me know I was now enrolled for $44 a month!!! I IMMEDIATELY canceled the bait & switch SCAM. That was a month ago. Today the charges my account $44 and then when I called the man was so RUDE. He wouldnt let me speak to a manager. I will take legal action against them and am so glad I have RECORDS of everything they did. DO NOT USE!!!!

I essentially echo all other posts. Information was nothing more than what a google search would show, and some was even inaccurate. Also got scammed for a month when i signed up for a trial because i could not cancel my account on-line. Customer service no help and attitude.
Seems so funny how this business gets ONLY 1-star or 5-star reviews... guess you can tell which ones are from real customers and which ones are listed by company hacks! Stay away from this rip-off service, they are nothing but a bunch of vultures scamming good, hard-working people. I hope people like that burn in hell!
I could have found more information searching social media. Attempted to cancel the account on the night that I opened the account using the website and received multiple error messages. Sat on hold for quite some time when I called in and received a rude, obnoxious representative to assist me with the call. He was impatient and appeared to have a problem with me inquiring about confirmation for the account being closed, voicing my feedback about the error when attempting to cancel via the website, and having him wait to ensure I had a record of the charge on my bank statement. Needless to say, I had to get extremely assertive with him to remind him that since it has passed the 5 day trial period, I am a paying customer and he is there to assist me with my questions.
Ordered a trail account went to cancel it which via the website and it would not cancel it. Called them on the 5th day they still charged me for over 40 dollars after being disconnected 3 times talked to someone who did not do anything for me. I have not used this service after the first day and they make it so you can not cancel the membership until after they charge you.
Although some of the info. Was accurate, more of it was inaccurate and left out some MAJOR details like, current marriages and existing businesses. Other, basic information that was left out included the location of the individual... and I'm fairly certain they didn't just evaporate into thin air! Also I tried calling them repeatedly, but each time after about a 5 min. Wait, the call was disconnected. Huge waste of my time.

The rub is I pay close attention to what I sign up for. I know I didn't sign up for a $40+ membership. And I know my way around a website.
They would not reimburse me.
To charge me for something I never knowingly signed up for, they must be deceptive in their website set-up and fraudulent in their intent & practices.
Worst Customer Service EVER - site doesn't work and no-one answers calls! SCAM! ALso, the site has old information and needs to be updated.
The "close account" button doesn't work, there is no email address, no matter what the replies say here. Which means they lied, twice, already. Which means the telephone number cannot be trusted. And I have to close out my bank card.
Not even close to my REAL relatives names, my correct age or half my addresses. Feel bad for the fools who pay for this scam.
Good luck to those trying to remove your info. Some sites are actually decent and remove your data right away. Do you know why? Because they know it's crap info like this company except this one doesn't care.

Well it does not tell you in fine print that for you 1st month your gona be charged $60 to just open an account then the money charge. I somehow could not access n e more info than what was given already they can only refund me 1 month they tookout which i can happy at least got something back. But would not try again.

This service is similar to the data that attorneys get. I think private investigators get this information as well. They do a good job looking up public records across the nation. Not 100% accurate but close enough to make next decisions. I searched a few people that I'm suing and found some assets, homes, that we can add to the judgement.
Scam of the first order. They charge you for items that you decline and will not let you get your first $1.00 profile unless you opt for some monthly costs. Stay away.
