I found Chewy after the last on-line pet food site jacked up the price on their food after the initial purchase. So far, the second purchase was the same lower price so I am a happy customer right now.
I happened up chewy.com when looking in amazon.com for a cheap flea drop store. So i ordered from them. I received my order the next day (with free shipping). However I ordered the wrong thing. So i got into a chat room to find out how to exchange the drops. They said to donate the drops to a shelter and took care of ordering the correct ones. Very pleasant and quick. I ordered several things at once from chewy.com. My order came and I noticed that one of the bags of treats was one week expired. I called and the guy was very nice and said that he would send another bag immediately. When I received my new bag of the same treats, I was in disbelief when I saw that they had the same exact expiration date as the last one. At that point it was two weeks past the expiration date. I called, talked to the same person on the phone as the last time and they issued me a refund. He told me that he was afraid that the same thing would happen again. Why are they not just pulling this item off of the shelf?! I'm sure they are currently sending out the same treats to other unsuspecting customers who aren't looking at the expiration dates. Very frustrating that they didn't do anything for the hassle of it all either. They could have sent me out a different treat bag free of charge or given me a coupon code for the next time I'd get anything from there, or anything at all to make the experience more positive! But nothing! Not sure if I will be ordering from this company again.
Twice I had to call them to inform them that the treats they sent me were expired! The replacement they sent me were also expired with same expiration date as the first shipment. One of the toys they sent was damaged. I ultimately just asked them to give me a credit as I did not want to get another expired shipment. The amount of the credit they gave me was not even the right amount. I had to call them again. I placed this order for convenience but it has caused me more work. The other order I had asked to be shipped to my daughter who lives in another state was also needlessly delayed. Never again!

My understanding for returns is any item can be returned, even if it has been used you may return it within 1 year of original purchase. Their Custom Service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. So, if you work odd hours you don't to wait until Customer Service is available.

Then you scream at the reps you speak to due to your own stupidity levels in NOT READING A COMPANIES POLICIES. FYI it is a CONSUMERS RESPONSIBILITY to read those policies as the company already knows their own policies. FYI shipping from the USA to Canada cost customs fees and taxes which are NOT refundable and if you chose to return an item you will will incur these fees again and YOU are responsible for paying for them not the company you do business with. International shipping also requires proper documentation to get packages through customs. Not every USA company has the man power to deal with this enormous amount of work nor do they wish to deal with the headaches involved with shipping outside of the USA. How so many of you Canadians do not know this information is mind boggling.
