Every single mod or helper is just out to censor you. From deleting my posts, to threatening to delete my account, I just can't believe this site is run by adults. You can't complain or say anything bad about the website, and they are always combing through the newest posts to censor anything they deem wrong or off topic. Just annoying, and disrespectful.

Putting the god-awful pet "rarity" system and the older players scamming newbies through said system factor aside, this site is full of mini-modding bullies. Their so-called "helpers" are biased and cold towards new players that are trying to have fun and learn about this "amazing" site. My 14yo cousin got banned for, and I quote, "Trading a 2010 rare for a 2020 uncommon"... Please note that they had a play time of 4 days AT MOST and thought they understood the bizarre trading system but apparently not. Appealing this ban both their mother and myself were met by bigotry, cold heartedness and outright refusal to give a reason other than "scamming". My attempt to join this site was just as bad, if not worse. The admins on this site are hurtful, hateful and cold, the older members ignore any requests of help from new players and it is near impossible to actually get "good pets to trade" without spending actual money or waiting for 5-6 hours just for the "pound" to possibly open up, and even then there's no guarantee for a "good pet" since none of the rarities are shown and all rare pets are snatched up by older players. If you step out of the hierarchy's line a moderator or "helper" will contact you with a rude message, expecting you to know this rule that's apparently so blatantly obvious (yet not written down anywhere) and threaten you with a ban. I closed my account because of how harmful and cruel the playerbase is, I never expected such bullying from a "popular and harmless" site such as this. This is very much a closed community that does not like or accept new members.

Staff are rude, I'm constantly getting ignored in forums, pet rarities are a mess, scammers litter the trade system, their "is this a fair trade thread" will insult and harass trades that are greatly unfair so I daren't risk posting there, the wishlist is so frustrating having to click "add" on every single image. This site is just awful! AND expensive! Not worth the time or money!

Overall the trading and community within this game is fun and -for the most part- friendly. The staff team has been an absolute nightmare to interact with though. You can follow all of their rules and they go as far to look around on your profile and dig for any dirt they can smudge on you.

One of the rules regarding NSFW is understandable since this is a family friendly site, however, majority of people that I know use toyhouse (a character storage site) which may contain NSFW characters and underage blockers to try and prevent being seen, but does not stop underage users from lying about their age. I have clicked many toyhouse links that have characters that break CS rules, but the staff team is busy being in lala land to get on everyone's arse. Other links (like Twitter and Instagram) will also be thoroughly looked through. "Oh this character has nudity (no nipples, but bare chest uncovered) well sorry, but you can no longer link this site!" for 1 post. Easy solution is to remove that specific post, but if majority of your posts (or general content) appeals to adult themes, you're better off not linking that in the first place regardless if it's SFW.

Outside of the Child Safety, staff seems to play favorites and are biased with certain individuals or busy kissing up each other. The rarity system (planning to be changed at the time of writing this review) currently sucks as there is inflation regarding those rarities. There is also an inflation with chicken dollars (their premium currency). The site, from what I've see, is like it's own dumpster fire that wants to improve but isn't taking feedback or proper measures to make those steps.

I have loved this website for YEARS and years, until I was accused of cheating. It is disgusting how my sister's account was deleted, for no reason. Soren Fey also took away MANY of my pets for again NO REASON! I am sad to have spent so much of my actual human money to this website...

I've been on that site over 11 years now. I do enjoy it, but it's gone downhill. Everyone in power is rude as hell, they don't care about most anything, and definitely play favorites. Some people are actually concerned about the future of the site and the staff basically says "lolol stfu I'm locking this" and it's getting annoying. Also a lot of the users are obnoxious as heck. I know it's safe for kids, but good god if you can't act decent get the hell off the internet. The red marks on the picture show that I actually spend money on the site- I feel like if you get a lot of users who like and pay for the site to complain, and you still don't listen, that's not good in any way.

The demand is a little high for some pets but it's still fun!

This game is addicting. You collect, dress up, trade, and show off your adoptable pets! There are also many user-made adoptables such as Sweetens (pixel gif cats with wings). There is a large, active art community and many kind members. The moderators and admins work super hard to keep the site safe, especially because so many of the members are kids, teens, or young adults.

Whenever you try to suggest ideas to make the site better they reject it. They're also really rude. Once I made a topic about what colour hair do you have some rude administrator locked it just because a topic like that already existed. I think the whole site's admins and administrators should be locked out from this site. They're really unfair because they make custom pets for themselves and not for the people that actually play the game. It's the rudest and most annoying thing ever.

I have been on cs since october 2018. I enjoy playing. There are some players that are rude and will block you for no reason. But not everyone is going to like you no matter what.

I never interact with the community so I can't tell you what they're like.
However, I've always liked hoarding pets, so if you're just into that then this site is ok for it. It's the kind of site you can forget for weeks at a time considering they only release pets once a month, and it takes weeks for some of them to grow up fully.

It can get dull because the site has barely changed since 2010. No mini games, no way to interact with the pets in any meaningful way, nothing to earn in game, no goals or anything…Yea, it's just that boring.

I actually really enjoy this site! I've had a few bad experiences with other players, but mainly this is a fun site with amazing art, great forums, and a variety of ways to play. There are some adult players who try to take advantage of newer players, but overall the community is generous, open, and supportive. There is a forum called the Comfort Corner that helps players by letting them post their issues and other players frequently gift and give away pets for free! It is free to join, free to play, and honestly you can get really far without ever spending a cent (though it does offer in-game purchases). I've quit a few times, but keep coming back. I love that it hasn't really changed much in all the time I've been on this site. It really is a peaceful place to destress!

I like this site, I havent had many issues with bullying or bad staff like the others. I love the community most the time, especially ones that develop around user made adoptables

Let's start off with the moderators and staff of the game. They act way too entitled for their own sake and are really unfair towards certain people. And they always mention that if there's any questions we should ask them, but they don't even respond to half the questions I've ever sent. (Like Anouki.)
They treat kids really harshly, and I understand they want to keep the platform and all the kids well behaved but threatening them and scaring them isn't gonna do it, you're just gonna make them anxious and NOT wanna enter the site in the first place.
My sister also had a chicken smoothie account, and had some pets in there she wanted to give me. I gladly accepted that, and they said I was "cheating with 2 accounts" and banned my sister's account.
The service overall is terrible, and the most of the mods are so full of themselves. I now see why the game has a solid 1.79 stars rating, and I know it's gonna go down even more.
The game itself can be fun without the mods constantly on your tail over every minor thing, I've seen people do explicit things/draw nudity and break the rules yet they get away with it, but once you do something a little bit off, they bite you in the $#*! for it.
Overall, the site itself gets a 5/10
The players get a 3/10
And the mods get a solid 0.2/10. Horrible staff.

So, this site I would say isn't for people who are very sensitive to things and people bullying them. There is a ton of bullying on the website and I have been a victim of it. People block you for no reason and they block you because of your beliefs and opinions. I have been a victim of that site and I don't enjoy it anymore. I think people on their think that since it is a site that isn't like discord which has strict rules and tons of helpful ways they find people who are bullying and not overlooking any situations that they can bully other users. The mods on the site aren't really helpful to the bullying as I have done many reports of someone who has bullied me and they have done nothing about it. I think they overlook a ton of issues on the site so the site can continue to function and so they don't have to get involved. I wouldn't recommend this site to people who are vulnerable, have had or experiencing bullying in real life and people who are sensitive when it comes to there mental health. Even though you can adopt pets on the site, the forums are poorly managed and the bullying on the site and people blocking others for no reason at all or because of someone's opinions and view points is extremely under-managed by the mods and helpers on the site. IF your thinking of trying Chicken Smoothie, don't. The bullying is really bad on the site and the forums and posting of people are poorly managed by the helpers and site mods. I unfortunately got blinded at first by the site's general concept and as soon as the targeting, bullying and people blocking me for no reason at all happened, the joy I felt at first is gone. I am now severely angry at the mods who created this site and who aren't putting stricter guild lines down for bullying and blocking people. I'm disappointed by the site and think the site is getting to much fuss over how great it is because as soon as you get to know the community, you'll see that it is a terrible place to be.

My kids and their friends used CS. As part of being allowed to use CS, I have access to my kids' private messages. The power tripping bullying attitude some of these mods have is unbelievable. They need to keep in mind they're dealing with kids. Yes, kids need to follow rules and I would hope their parents are teaching them how to interact well on these kinds of sites and monitoring them too. But it seems the staff are extremely selective when it comes to enforcing or interpreting rules, or what constitutes cheating.

The last straw for me, and a friend with kids who loved CS, was when the kids were threatened with permanent bans for absolutely ridiculous things. Now I'm not being a Karen-mom here, I'm speaking from 20 years experience dealing with online communication, sites, forums, user interaction etc etc where you have rules that are fair, and then absolutely over the top power tripping staff who blatantly use their position to threaten and bully kids.

My friend's kid got threatened with a permanent ban for something so silly that other users do all the time with no consequence. This kid spent a lot of time and real life dollars on CS, loved creating the artwork etc and had a big mental health/depression crash after receiving this threat of permanent ban-- when there are numerous examples of other users doing this exact same thing. His parents had no choice but to pull the plug on CS because the bad attitude by mods there had serious consequences on his mental health (they also had access to the private messages and were horrified by the poor attitudes displayed).

Don't let your kids be sucked in to this site. I've stopped my kids from using it as they too were getting really upset at accusations and threats of bans made by mods and again, I personally looked through the history of the situation and also saw numerous examples of other users not getting any warnings/messages.

CS is a site that unfortunately has quite a few power tripping bullies selected as mods, who should not be put in those positions as they use it to intimidate and bully kids. If your child wants to use this site I suggest you sit right next to them every time.

Also, we've heard too many creepy stories about CS not doing anything about grooming style behaviours by members against minors that took place on other sites, surely CS should look at the evidence supplied to them and ban those creeps from their site.

A ways back the password security thing was breached and any simple passwords were locked. I reached out a while later (after finishing some college courses) because the account I made when I was younger had been locked and I wanted to get back to trading pets for art. (The independent artist community is absolutely amazing). I didn't remember the fake birthday I plugged in while making the account because I thought I was so slick with my "18+" age to access whatever when I was like 13 and my email address had been perma locked through Hotmail. I reached out to the help team and gave a detailed description of a story I had written on CS, pets in hidden boxes that I had collected, store pets I had, my personal art store that I ran, and I even showed my deviant art where I made and posted art for other CS users. They accused me of going onto CS for darker purposes because why would I write a fake age when I was young... idk if anyone else use to write fake ages to access more stuff on websites but I use to do it all the time... anyway all my friends on my friends list were users who had been part of CS since I started way back when or people I knew in real life. Everyone I communicated with outside of the trading, buying, and selling of art or pets was my own age. The customer service was horrible and the accusation made me feel disgusting. I want to support artists and get art of my characters at a good deal (a pet i got for free instead of for money for example) but at this point it isn't even worth it which is a shame because like I said the art is amazing. I don't recommend getting attached to any pets or pictures you might get because obviously they aren't invested in keeping you as a consumer and if you happen to get OC art from there, for goodness sake save it somewhere else. Avoid the staff at all cost. Enjoy the pictures of the pets but don't expect to keep them if there is an error with your account and above all don't buy pets from their store. You won't be getting them back if you ever get locked out.

The staff on this website absolutely love to abuse their power at any chance they get and they're extremely unfriendly to interact with... If you can, please stay as far away from you can from this website. It is managed poorly at best (new events are boring and repetitive, it's always the same thing and lasting shorter and shorter as time goes on!) As a child playing this website, I was morbidly horrified to get a pm from any colorful usernames (staff). For a "child friendly" website, it creates a room of a LOT of anxiety. Especially when each moderator has a different understanding of the rules so you get a warning from one, and then are told "it's ok to do" by another?!?!?! HELLO?!?!?!?
To be clear, moderators do not even deal with questionable and potentially upsetting artworks that are posted to their art system (attached). If I had a young child playing this website, I would NOT want them to see something so gross like this on the only forums they can interact with (when COPPA'd). Instead, the lovely mods replied that it was "ok". It is very upsetting, and disrespectful really. (one artwork that they did not remove was fetus-based, but the user was banned only AFTER they drew genitalia on the system... Like the questionable things before wasn't already a red flag?!)
