First time to Citizen Shipper and was very badly treated by their driver, RTTR. Trying to get quotes to drive 2 pups from eastern NC to Helena, MT and was criticized and degraded for living in NC... seems like my intelligence was lower than his, despite the fact I'm a former Marine and originally from a different state. Very rude treatment and the company refused to recognize the problem when I contacted them about this. I will NEVER return to this company because of it.

What made the difference was the driver I chose - he wasn't the cheapest (wasn't the most expensive, either) but had lots of positive feedback.
Once I understood how the bidding worked, I found out it was just like the ebay of shipping without the stupid TV show.
I'm not sure how someone could be confused about this. Maybe they should start small scale so they can understand how online bidding actually works. Would you blame ebay for a product you didn't like? No, they just brokered the deal.
I had a really posative experience with CitizenShipper. I listed my apartment for moving and got 6 bids. I picked a driver called r and r haulers and they were excellent. Took good care of my stuff, called me all the way through there trip, and unloaded exactly where I wanted my stuff. I was pleased with the price and the driver. I asked for help with the CitizenShipper stuff a lot and found them friendly and they helped me quickly. I'm really grateful for this site and will tell my friends.

First, let me apologize, once again, for this drivers behavior towards you. I personally handled your request, and this driver was actually addressed and taken to task for his unprofessional comments to you.
I also apologize if you feel that my response to you was in any way rude, as I was only striving to let you know that drivers on our site do not represent Citizenshipper as a company, as they are independent contractors and do not work for our site.
We perform stringent background screenings and numerous other verifications before allowing drivers to bid on any shipments on our site. I also offered to personally find you a new driver, so that you were not subjected further to any communication, at which time you threatened to hire legal counsel for this driver remarks, which we have no control over.
I would like to reinterrate, this behavior is 100% unacceptable and this was addressed immediately with the driver in question. If at any time you would consider giving us another shot, we will be happy to take care of your shipment for you at a discounted deposit rate for the offputting experience this driver caused.
