I've moved a lot and I've used this company twice. The time I chose not to use them, items were delivered to the wrong house, the company refused to pay for it and they stole the screen off my peloton. It's been a dream each time with Colonial van lines because they actually care about your items, have prepared documentation and keep you up to date with every move. In addition your items make it from one place to the other and no one steals the items. If you're looking for a good price, safe transport of your items and people who will communicate than choose them.

This was my second move and first time using Colonial Van Lines. This move was by far the best experience compared to the first. Not only did they move our items from point A to point B, but they also shrink wrapped and padded all furniture and valuable items. They took extra care of everything, which was a lot better than expected.

I used Colonial Van Lines for a move from Maryland to Alabama. I had briefly moved from Pennsylvania to Maryland and had my belongings stored at two different homes. They picked everything up when they said they would and delivered two days before the quoted window was up. Elsie kept contact with me every step of the way. Everything arrived in good shape, including my large television set. I would definitely recommend them!

I moved from Tennesse to Connecticut recently through Colonial Van lines, and it was a very good experience for me. The person from AMILE AWAY subsidiary was very professional and he explained the billing details politely and he made sure I understood the invoice. Even though I packed my own goods, they wrapped the sectional couch and the bulky furniture really good and they came at the destination without a scratch. It was a great experience overall and I am totally satisfied on how the move went smoothly.

I had an exceptional, positive experience with Colonial Van Lines from the inception with this moving service provider. The quote and initial inventory process was executed professionally and efficiently with an extremely fair price for a 1400 mile move across the continental United States. The pick-up, move, and deliveries were all done within the proposed time windows. There was nothing damaged since all items were well stowed and wrapped with blankets and tape. The movers were professional, courteous, and extremely accommodating to all our needs and in constant communication during the entire move. Not only will I use Colonial van Lines for all my future moving service needs. It is my sincere intention to strongly recommend Colonial Van Lines to family and friends for all their moving service needs as well.

Moved from PA to WV. Planned move a little over a month in advance and everyone was very helpful in helping me plan and execute the move. The actual movers were very friendly, energetic, professional and careful while taking care of my possessions. Would recommend them to everyone.

Amazing experience with this company. They were extremely responsive and made what could have been a stressful cross country move seamless and comfortable.

Our move from a 3 BR apartment with storage unit was successful and good value. Movers arrived within time window. There was some confusion concerning office's actual date for pickup and the delivery driver, but was corrected and understood to be still within the quoted 2 day window given. 2 movers arrived and completed load in reasonable amount of time and were enroute to drop off destination. No overages for weight. Weight estimated was correct. Delivery of items was quickly done and items were offloaded into storage in just a couple hours. I would use Colonial for any long distance moves needed again.

I wrote a review about excellent service by Colonial who moved me 12/10/21, since that time my opinion has drastically changed. They moved my things to a storage facility as my new house wasn't complete then a small local company moved me in late January 2022. That's when I was able to really see how Colonial treated my belongings. They had dropped my dad's leather recliner, breaking a leg off and internally, placed deep scratches on an expensive dresser, lost 2 Pottery Barn almost new quilts, scratched a bedside table and lost numerous other things. I thought my renter's insurance would cover any losses and didn't take out insurance with Colonial. My bill was already over $10,000.00 moving from Murfreesboro, TN area to just below Atlanta, GA. They would only pay pennies on the dollar for the damages they caused. I have yet to receive the total of $350.00 and it's nearing a year later. Kenya, in their company who called me from claims called me after months of me trying to get help and was very ugly to me and spoke to me harshly and intimidating. I felt I had no recourse but to sign the release after checking with my insurance company. After getting her way, she was very nice. Bully for her. I was in a bind with my closing date on my home changing and unable to reschedule my original company, so was great full to find someone who could move me at almost last minute. Do more homework than I did, but also stay away from this company if you want your things taken care of. I learned the hard way.

Colonial Van Lines successfully and smoothly provided an interstate move for me. It was the first time I'd undertaken such a large move, and it was a very stressful endeavor for me.
The people at Colonial were, without exception, expertly professional, as well as empathetic and and calming in the midst of my expressions of feeling overwhelmed.
They absolutely came through, including helping pack and deliver my belongings
Safely and efficiently.
I would definitely recommend this company to anyone. They made a huge difference during a difficult transition.

Colonial Vanlines helped my family and I for our move from Chicago to Minneapolis. I was very pleased with every facet of this move. They kept me involved every step of the way, kept me up-to-date with when my boxes and furniture would be delivered, and when everything was unloaded on time - it was all in excellent condition. I would definitely would use Colonial again. While I hate moving, I LOVE COLONIAL!
