Dell's reputation has significantly declined, with many customers expressing dissatisfaction with both product quality and customer service. While some users appreciate the performance of their devices when functioning properly, a pervasive sentiment reveals frustrations over receiving incorrect products, unresolved technical issues, and inadequate support. Customers frequently report long wait times, ineffective assistance, and poor communication from service representatives. The overall trend indicates a growing discontent with the company's responsiveness and reliability, prompting many former loyal customers to seek alternatives. This feedback highlights a critical need for Dell to enhance its customer service and product quality to regain trust.

I bought this laptop new for over a thousand dollar (forget exactly how much). The touchpad always has problem (the mouse movement sucks). You have to call to customer support to have them work on it, every time like that it takes at least 30 minutes. Then the freaking same problem will come back. I have carry the individual mouse around otherwise I can't work.
A lot of people have the same problem. There are so many brands for you to choose from. Don't take your risk of being piss off when dealing with stupid touchpad like this.
We ordered this online for an emplyoee. A few days after ordering the empyoee decided to buy her own and no longer needed this one that was ordered. We attempted to cancel the order online but it directed us to call customer support which we did. The representive refused to cancel the order because it was in the ship status and told me that we could simpley return it once it was delivered. He never said that there would be a 15% restocking fee. I kept an eye on the status of the order and it did not ship out for another 6 days. Once we received it we started the return process. We received an email stating that we needed to consent to a 15% restocking fee before processing the return. I attempted to call someone to discuss this and after trying to get in touch with a live person for over 4 hours he was rude and refused to budge on the restocking fee. I aksed to speak to a supervior and he merely tranfered me to a survey which at the end it disconnected the call. I have emailed dell twice trying to get this computer returned and they are not responding. It is clear that they only care about money and not making happy customers. We will just dispute the charges with the creidt card compnay at this point and never purchase another Dell product for our company or personal use.
They replaced my motherboard. Didn't fix it, even more problems now. Won't replace and in college. Have to send it in which is going to take a month to get it back. Very disappointed and this could cause me to fail a class, this is the only computer I have. Worst customer service ever, I have have a warranty and premium support.
I mistakenly ordered a product and tried to cancel within an hour of purchase. Dell made this impossible. Not only could they NOT tell me if ordered, when would it arrive but the could not cancel an order after 45 min of trying. This company is shameful
I recently bought an expensive desktop (Inspiron) from Dell but when I needed information on my additional purchase of setting up my computer I called and emailed the agent who sold me the computer and he NEVER responded to any of my calls or emails. So if you have an opportunity to buy a Dell from Hemath Kumar at Dell, don't bother. He is awful and uncaring and quite uncooperative.
We purchased a lap top for our son and have since paid it off. They keep billing us for the 4 dollar service contract and there is absolutely NO one who can assist us with canceling it. I've been trying for 2 days call every number on the website only to get CSR who can barely speak English
Their products have issue the first year of buying them. Followed by crappy support that refuses to assist you. Warranty does not cover the battery what so ever and is a waste of money. They give you a run around when you try getting help for any issue till the warranty runs out to then tell you that you must buy the parts which cost hundreds. They also delete any Service Request Details so you can not argue anything and you wont have proof about your conversations with their agents.
Purchased a web cam during Cyber Monday for $69
Product was 2 days late on delivery by DHL
Week later price for same webcam is $59. I called customer service to get price difference.
Customer service told me they cant match price difference for 1 day sales.
Ok fine I will return the product and never purchase from Dell again.
Because it seems that cost of return shipment is worth more to them for an open product? Really poor business decisions on whoever is setting online pricing.
Tried to use Dell Rewards (dollar value), a Dell Gift Card, and my Dell Financing ("Dell Pay") at checkout. Impossible. Their system cannot compute this aggressively simple task. This site and this company are now completely inept. All hope is lost, for Dell. I give them 5 years tops to go bankrupt or get acquired.
Ordered something that I thought was sold by Dell but turns out their site is a 3rd party seller app as well. It said shipped but got lost and they refuse to refund my money. It's been a month and they still claim they wil refund. Have to call my bank to reverse the charges. It's a total scam. Do not order anything from them.
Bought a laptop a few weeks ago and it has a wifi 6 network card 201.11ax the reason I bought it so I can take advantage of my wifi 6 network the laptop will not recognize the 6 network I called tech support he actually tried to fix it he said it was my router contacted my internet provider they did a diagnostic and said my internet is fine the 6 is running called Dell tech again this guy did nothing but refer me to the next level tech support for a 99 dollar fee I paid the money called the next level tech who did absolutely nothing but send me an email saying my network card doesn't support wifi 6 I said to him are you out of your mind any idiot knows that 201.11ax is a wifi 6 card he actually tried to brush me off with a lie like I can't google a network cards capability
I purchased a Dell XPS 8 months ago. As I was using it today vertical & horizontal lines appeared on the screen. Dell says this is not covered under the warranty & I can pay them big bucks to fix it. This laptop is 8 months old, in perfect condition & the screen just stopped working. DO NOT BUY DELL. THEY DO NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY OR SUPPORT THEIR PRODUCTS.
I bought one of their higher end desktops for my business and within a few months got blue screen of death and the couldn't start up anymore. Sent it back to Dell and they got it to start up again but didn't fix the root problem and within another couple months the same thing happened. They kept dragging it out for months giving me the run around until the deadline on my "premium" service was up, then they stopped responding to me entirely. Very expensive paperweight.
When considering a computer/laptop purchase, look at the many review sites, BBB, Google Reviews, Trust Pilot and consider what the previous customers of Dell have written. Dell has incredible awful reviews with specific warnings and there is a definite reason why. Dell is currently selling computers that are so overloaded with background processes, that before any programs are opened, the computers are already consuming 35% of the available memory. Simple Excel files overload the computers to the point of 100% capacity.
The fact that the products Dell are selling flat out do not work is just the tip of the ice burg. Prior to realizing the inadequacies of their products, I placed a $1,900 order on Sep 8 and I come from a 38 year background of using computers and technology. The ordering process, the setup process, the failed struggle to make the computer work process, the return process and the refund process, involving +25 customer service reps that not only did not speak enough English to be understood, was drowned in misinformation, inaccuracies, false information and downright lies.
My entire purchase was properly packaged and returned within the allowable return timeline, 3 weeks ago and Dell has to this day not refunded me the money. I have been promised a refund in writing, (please see attachment 1, received (4) days ago) I have been assured of a refund verbally. I have contacted Executive Management of Dell, I have begged, pleaded, and cried. Nothing. I have even reached out to the owner of Dell. No response.
Per Dell's escalation department, and after customer service reps have confirmed in writing that my returned purchase was received, (See attachment #2, received after the first promise of a refund within 2 business days) Dell needs more time to ensure my returned package was received. Attachment #3, yet more excuses as to why I have not received my refund. More than 3 full days have no passed since that communication. More than 16 days after I returned the dysfunctional computer, Dell has still not refunded me my money.
I will never in my life purchase another Dell product. Never!
Not worth it for the price. If you want to get a good value for your money but a Mac instead. The sale prices for the machine you receive are definitely not to your advantage
Everytime I had to update my laptop there were issues. My backlit keyboard wouldn't light up or my trackpad stopped working. I recently updated the bios as per the request of Alienware and now my laptop is bricked. Don't ever buy a Dell
I wish my experience was as cool as the employees are mean, but it's just robots who eventually hang up on you after leading you in circles. And if you want to talk to a real person, for some reason that department is always closed. It's like the robot doesn't even want to talk to you considering how quick it is to hang up on you. It's ridiculous. Can't find a answer to my problem because of it.
I've been buying personal and work computer equipment from Dell since the 1990s and, literally, cannot believe my recent experience. In short I bought a $4,000 (!) XPS laptop, dock station and second monitor for remote work during the pandemic. It looks like it was put together in some 3rd world back room sweat shop. I've had to tape ALL of the plug-in connections, because they keep falling out! In the Sumer of 2022, I bought an "OS-Service Warranty Extension, dated to last through December 2023 (Receipt attached). Last fall, Nov 2022, my laptop would not boot up past the Dell logo (Google that; it IS a thing). Even with that extended warranty, I was told that it covered hardware only and not for Dell to reinstall the OS. I was told that I needed back pay another $386 for that to be covered (receipt attached). And, even though I bought Windows 10 with the laptop, I had never received a disk or download link, so I couldn't even try a re-install myself., so I had the XPS shipped to Dell where they re-installed Windows (which caused me to lose ALL of my data, because Dell no longer supported the 6 Terabyte external hard drive that I bought from them with my last laptop!). I am JUST NOW finally finishing the recover-rebuilding-replacement of all that data. And, once again my X Dell laptop won't boot up past the Dell Logo. I contacted Dell and once again, they won't provide any Tech Support help, unless I buy another warranty extension! And that says all that needs to be said - I am taking this $4,000 laptop, throwing it in the trash and buying an HP laptop!

I bought an OmniPlex business computer online. The money was immediately taken from my account. I get an email saying the computer had been delivered. It wasn't. Then it shows it was sent back. There are NO agents who will answer a call if you call their sales phone number. There was no explanation. It has now been almost a month and I have no computer and no money. I would pay close attention to these reviews and not buy through Dell.
Answer: Not upto the mark... felt few hadrware technician are newly appointed were not ble to understand as well as answer the query.
Answer: Cause dell is a complete scam. I regret buying one. Wasted almost a thousand dollars.
Answer: I did. I bought a machine that had hardware issues right out of the box and returned it within the 30-day window. They refunded me 100% of what I'd paid, no problem.
