The company enjoys a mixed reputation, with long-time customers expressing disappointment over recent declines in product quality and customer service. Positive feedback highlights the affordability and convenience of subscription services, with some users appreciating the variety of products. However, numerous complaints center around poor product performance, particularly with razor blades, and significant delays in shipping, leading to frustrations over customer support and difficulty in managing subscriptions. Overall, while the brand has a loyal customer base, many feel it has strayed from its original quality and service standards, prompting a reconsideration of their loyalty.

Once they change the shaver and blades don't shave like before they keep falling out of the shaver I'm out
I've been a customer for years without complaints. Recently they sent me a different type of razor blades that do not match the handle I have. I've sent numerous emails over the past couple of weeks and not received a single response. They claim to have a 100% satisfaction refund policy but they really don't. Cancelling my subscription.
I was a loyal member going back to the beginning but the new products SUCK! So cheap! The old blades lasted & were a killer value for the price now the new blades are crap! You're lucky to get a single shave out of them. The new handles are garbage. Another once great company & product that has gone to $#*! because a bigger company bought them & only cares about the bottom line, not making good products that created a loyal customer base.
I was a member of dollar shave club a few years ago and they had a great product. I recently resubscribed to the service and boy was I disappointed. The first subscription delivered high quality razors, cream, and everything else you'd need.
I re-subscribed and they went with an inferior blade, product, and everything else. A brand new razor feels used and jagged, my wife developed a rash under her armpits among other places that she had to see a dermatologist for.
I could feel the jagged scratching of cheapness when I shaved my face. 100% trash now. More expensive, inferior product. Do not buy! Trash! Avoid at all cost!
DSC's razors have always been pretty good, I've been using the same razor handle for more than a year now. I've heard they aren't as good of quality any more but cannot confirm.
I used to really like their conditioners, shampoos, and body washes. But, DSC changed all their formulas, and they aren't nearly as good as they used to be. I much prefer the products you can get at any grocery store to the new DSC formulas.
While the products seem good, when I try to cancel my membership, which I've been trying to do for over 1 week, I can't seem to do it. All of the links on their website work except the one where you are supposed to be able to cancel your membership. Doesn't that seem strange to you? I've messaged them 3 times and never get a response and they aren't canceling my membership. Stay away unless you plan to pay them every month without a way to get out of that circle.
If this company spent as much time on their products as they do endorsing domestic terrorists they have a hell of a product. But they don't! When I first started with the club the razors were fabulous. Over the last two years I'd be better off with a dollar store razor. Brand new blade and I've got to go over my face 20 times to get a clean shave. And when I'm done it's still didn't do its job. Many times I have to go back and shave again because the blades are that poor. I can't imagine what it's like for those who have a very thick beard, I don't. I usually get one out of a blade. I switched over to Harry's shave club. One pass with the blade and I'm done. The razors last 5 to 10 times longer than dollar shave club. And they're much easier to find in numerous store locations. Highly highly highly suggest avoiding dollar shave club at all costs unless you enjoy wasting your money and looking like crap
Sigh... like so many things that start out fantastic, DSC might be slipping. I have just read a lot of critical reviews because we are now left wondering where our last shipment might be. Customer Service is not that easy to get ahold of. We too have experienced several broken handles. They need to remember how they got so popular and stick to that business model. I hope we don't have to cancel our membership.
I am in week three waiting for my starter pack. I would not have wasted my time purchasing these products if I had any idea it would take nearly a month to get even just the starter pack. Still waiting on my order but wish I would have just payed retail. The advertisements about how easy and quick it is are a fallacy. Customer services is of no help either. They only send you some automated response which is not personalized to your issue. You get what you pay for... not much. Waste of timeeee.
After being summarily punted by the "Chat" branch of Dollar Shave Club, I contacted the customer service through the "Contact Us" link. I am happy to report that the customer service rep that responded could not have been nicer, unlike the "Chat" dude, and they have now sent me a replacement handle for free (like they have always done).
I have been a Dollar Shave Club member for years. My only complaint in the past was that about once a year, the part on the handle that attaches the blade has broken. In the past, (4 times to be exact) they have replaced the handle for free which I appreciated. Just now, when the handle broke again, I was instructed that I could "buy" a new handle. Sorry. Not doing that. Cancelled my membership. Not going to buy something that has proven over and over to be defective. Saw other complaints that the company had been sold and customer service has gone out the window. Sad. I liked the shave I got with their razors.
I have had to purchase multiple handles for my DSC Executive blades over 2 years. They keep breaking and DSC wants to up charge every time for their poor manufacturing and design. I have canceled my membership and found other shaving companies on Amazon to be cheaper in price and equal if not a better in quality.
So long crappy DSC handles and up charging to replace your bad equipment!

Was with DSC and settled for a lessor product for far too long. Comparable to Dollar Store razors at prices equaling industry leaders... Doesn't make sense. Especially when their product has gotten worse and worse since they first came on the scene. Waste of money and time spent with customer service that is the absolute Worst In the Industry. Save yourself Time, Money and the inevitable Headache! Steer clear. You'll thank me later.
Order men's toiletries online and set up an account that will deliver products on a regular basis. We get razor blades regularly. Add additional 1-time items, try out trial sizes, order razor handles, change your regular order items or time between deliveries as you need to. Customer service is excellent and you can chat with them online. This would be a great gift!
I'm trying to cancel because they are charging me $27,99 and I never order nothing but the trail for $5. The phone number do not work!
Please go back to the smaller package size for mailing your razors. You are wasting a huge amount of paper/cardboard packaging which is 4X the size of the razor package. Your packaging is WAY too big. Please go back to the smaller packaging.
The shipment takes a bit long but the quality of the products is pretty good, so I would say I'm satisfied overall.
I am very satisfied with the quality of the blades and all the other accessories. I don't shave everyday so the amount of blades is more than enough for the price.
I Love Dollar Shave Club. I'm So Glad I Became a Member. I Had Only One Problem With Them. Which Was One Of My Shipments Never Came. I Brought It To There Attention,. And They Sent Me Out a New One With No Problems. Other Then That I Am Very Pleased With Every Shipment. I Always Get a Wonderful Smooth Clean Shave From There Razors. All I Pay is $1.00 For My Blades & $2.00 For Shipping. Total Of $3.00. Now How Sweet is That! :) And if you don't need your blades,. Then you could always skip that months shipment until you need your blades. Great Site, Great Products, Great Deals. Thanks! :)
I just canceled my service with the dollar shave club for the past 3 months i have had to contact them because my blades are never on time when I need them I have also noticed that Dollar General has a pack of 4 razors with 5 blades that work just as good for a faction of the cost $5.75 to be exact The Shaving Cream that Dollar shave club offers is great but expensive Dollar tree has a large bottle of coco butter lotion that works a lot better for only $1.00 and gives you a much better shave at a lot lesser cost This service would be great if they could get there products out on time by the date they are suppose to arrive
An average priced twin blade last me 3-4 weeks. The humble twin blade from DSC is dull after 1 shave.
