They suck!

Express script left Several messages on my phone and then when I called them back they act like they don't know What they're talking about. They're very RUDE and Autumn even hung up on me on October 14 at 8:20 AM. Just because they don't want to deal with the phone calls. They are the most miserable customer service I've ever had to deal with!

I had placed an order for medication online on the 21st of September and had followed up with one of Express Scripts representatives by phone. There was a mix-up with one medication (prescriber information was not correct). This was quickly corrected and I was assured that I would get both medications within a week. A few days later I am getting a text that the prescriber did not respond. I am calling the office and am told "Oh yes, this company. They always claim that they contact us but never do. I just checked. Nothing from them. We will send authorization right away." On October 6 I am in my doctor's office and alerting her that I still have not heard. I am assured that they will call Express Scripts immediately. They do as it is documented on the Express Scripts website but the medication is still not processed by October 12! Instead, there are cancellations of the order. When I am calling in I am told that it is all my and the prescribers fault. However, they can expedite shipment if I am paying an additional $21 fee!

Absolute Garbage
October 8, 2021

The pre-authorization is a joke. Preexisting condition and the company my spouse works for gets sold and this is the new prescription provider. Now instead of simply going down to CVS to get my prescription I have to deal with this poor excuse for a company and try to get my prescription approved in order for them to deliver it to me. A complete waste of a company that slows down the process greatly, or simply denies coverage.

They refuse to fill my thyroid prescription that I've had for 30 yr. Previous insurance filled it for $6. It's too expensive so ES won't fill. I have no availability of a medication I need to take every day. They suck!

Express Scripts Scam
September 28, 2021

Express keep automatically refilling and charging me for an old prescription. I told them to cancel it, but they always tell me it too late as it has already been sent to processing. It was over $300 and they wont return my money

Terrible customer service.

Constantly screws up. Will hold up prescriptions because of billing issues but when I call they say "no money is owed, we will send that right out" then why were you holding it up for a month in the first place.
Ran out of two medications because of their screw-ups.

Poor Customer Services
September 21, 2021

I requested a rep to cancel a wrong prescription and Express Scripts continued to charge me and ship me 3 months supplies of the wrong prescription. I was also told the correct prescription only had 3 months worth of supplies so I had to call my doctor for a full year prescription. The doctor reported my prescription was in fact a year prescription. I called Express Scripts back and the woman said, "yes your correct prescription is good for a year" despite the previous woman on the phone telling me it was good for only 3 months. Next the rep shocked me again to learn the "wrong" prescription hadn't been cancelled during my morning phone call. If I hadn't called back, Express Scripts were going to charge and ship me the wrong prescription again! I also learned that I would receive no refund for their mistake shipping out the wrong medicine. Next, I asked to speak to the manager and the rep hung up on me.

FAR from express
September 17, 2021

On July 2 2021 I sat in my doctors office as she electronically sent a refill for a medication that keeps me from needing a nebulizer. Now, almost three months later, I am still waiting. The office has contacted them multiple times since July. I've contacted them multiple times. Every few days I get a new email: "Everything is fine. Oops, everything is NOT fine. We will be mailing this today. Uh-on we need prior approval. Congrats, we will mail next week! Sorry, there's been a delay." And now I was just disconnected after being told I have three refills. I have NEVER dealt with a more incompetent company.

When MedMark was separate that company was great. But, now that Express Scripts took over it has just been an absolute pain to get medications. It used to be that I would have to call in my medications as a military retiree. The customer service was so bad that I ended up getting a single person to speak with to get my prescriptions filled. Now, that they are doing prescriptions via mail and online it is NO BETTER. I have been using them since 2002. I did not use their service in 2020. Now, in 2021, I have to use their service again and now they state that I do not have an email address with them. That is BULL, as I just recently got a prescription filled by Express Scripts. They want my life history it seems with full name, service number and other items that they have as I have been with them for nearly 20 years. Someone is trying to get my information for who knows what and perhaps sell it off. I do not trust them, but as a military retiree they are the only ones that we can use for mail order prescriptions. Get Congress to investigate them, PLEASE.

Horrible. Customer service has no clue what the pharmacy is doing. You get different answers from everyone you talk to. Supervisors supervise nothing and have ZERO authorization to do anything. They shipped my medication to an address I used 2 years ago, mind you in the past 2 years they have been shipping to the correct address!?!? Then to get the script resent I had to have my doctor call in the script again. After a week and not hearing from express I call and they tell me they need more u formation from the doctor. They say they called and faxed the doctors office. I know the receptionist very well and she said they never called nor faxed. I have the doctors office contact them, they tell me it's all taken care of and it will be overnights to me 4 days later, no meds. I call express scripts. They tell me I can't have the meds this soon becuse they just sent them. I tell them THEY sent it to the wrong address and this was to fix their initial mistake. They now thought it was a refill... I can go on and on... WHAT A JOKE THIS COMPANY IS.

Not good at reimbursement

Cannot get reimbursed for prescription paid for out of pocket. Making me submit more forms that I have already submitted. They say that it cannot be reviewed over the phone and I have to resubmit. Not professional

The absolute worst. I have never once gotten my medication on time in the two years I've been with them. Through my work, I have to use them, or I can drive an hour away to my hospital pharmacy. Everyone I work with has the same complaints. Doesn't matter how far in advance your doc requests the medication. You will never get it in time.

Diabetes is a terrible disease to have. Dr's nurses, everyone tells you to keep close watch with your body when it comes to this disease. They only tool we really have to work with are testing machines. The machines are cheap, but the test strips are what costs. I need to test at least twice a day, but express scripts refuses to pay for more than 25 a month? Average days in 1 month is 30. I can't even test ONCE a day because they won't approve more than 25 strips a month. I called into see if I could get more than 2 a month. That person told me, no problem the next time you refill your strips, tell them to call us we will explain the way the need to make a claim for 50 test strips a month. The next time I went for a refill, i gave them the exact information I was told to. They made the call, in front of me. They said there is NO WAY the are going to approve 50 test strips a month. The rotten $#*! lied to me. And made me look like a fool to my pharmacists. This company is WORTHLESS and does NOT give a $#*! if you die or not. Don't trust them for anything. They'll only pay for the cheapest $#*! they can.
Liars, don't give $#*! about you or your medical issues. I have no choice, this is who my company pays to see to it I stay healthy. If you have ANY OTHER OPTION than express $#*!, take it.

I hate the mail order they mess up your order send you all kind off different manufacturer medications when you been on the same one for years. I rather pay more at a local pharmacy because at lease it will be correct and the people will be nice to you and I want have to keep going back in forth arguing with express scripts they don't care how they talk to you they have attitude problems all the time. I HATE to pick up the phone to even call them... I am going back to a local pharmacy and deal with a 39 day supply I can't take this anymore I suffer from MIRGRAINES and they make me have one sometimes just by trying to get my point across and they try to make you seem like you stupid!

Stay away from them!

Worst company ever! Stay away from them. They harass you to use the delivery service, but they don't deliver the prescriptions, they'll take all your personal data like credit card number. No serious at all and they have a huge mess internally, they're are worst than a cult to let you out! Kafkian process to get the prescription transferred to a "real" pharmacy.

Every. Single. Month. I spend hours on the phone with them to get them to file my insurance correctly. I've had the same insurnace since day 1. They send emails saying you owe which sends you to Cigna but Cigna doesn't collect for Express Scripts. Transfer and transfer and transfer. Voice prompts force answers to questions and then it doesn't recognize your words. You get transferred repeatedly. Reps are very poorly trained. The same questions are asked repeatedly. They have worn me down so much that I would rather deal with a severe skin condition than deal with them each month.

Much tricking the system to talk to a live person, a lady whom sounds tired and annoyed. I ask to have a prescribed cream transferred to mail order a week ago from CVS. After a week, then receive email of a complication filling this cream and receiving prescription. They sent a new prescription to my doctor and not transferred original prescription. Cigna pharmacy now Express Scripts shares network with CVS. I call to ask why doing this and not transfer my prescription. She was circling and not helping. I am put on hold for over 20 min. Phone call etc... was 48 min. Now see canceled online... hoping transferred and mailed. Cigna Pharmacy changed to Express Scripts is always feeling not assured. Some parts of refill on website helpful but also lacks finding original prescriptions and requires calling them.

This company is a scam! Stay away from this scam. They will waste your time to refill a simple prescription. Harass you to the core so that you give up and they save the money. Worst company ever existed on earth.

Bad idea
July 24, 2021

So far, all I can say is these people are not very competent. They sent me a prescription without even notifying me that it was on its way, and then it's sat there in the mailbox for 2 weeks in the Texas heat. According to the pharmacist, Emma nothing happens when medications are exposed to heat except their shelf life. My doctor has told me multiple times not to leave my meds in the car as the heat can affect them. These people refused to accept their responsibility, no refund, no credit, nothing. Now I am stuck with these meds for 3 months.

Customer service is impossible. They sent the wrong prescription which I returned and they admitted to receiving but continued to require payment. Spent three hours on the phone, no help. So I quit using them.

Now I am told through insurance that I can no longer use Walgreens and am being forced to use Express Scripts. They will not fill any prescription until I pay in advance for the wrong prescription and the new one. I am not happy with them or the insurance company. I should have a choice in pharmacies but I don't think enough people choose them due to customer service so it now has to be mandatory.

I also have no assurance they don't send out cheap Chinese drugs that do not have good quality control.
