I've had Flipboard on my phone for 5 years and use it daily for a variety of articles. The last year the number of pop up ads have gone to warp 10. I've written to Flipboard numerous times explaining how difficult it is reading an article when I'm constantly getting bombarded with pop up ads. Their response was the ads were coming from the source of the article and not Flipboard themselves and they have no control over the pop up ads.
I haven't been insulted like this in a long time. There are so many different apps on the market today. I deleted Flipboard today.
Flipboard seemingly is slowly becoming a Fox outlet judging from how many posts come from it.
I guess other outlets require subscriptions which limits their sources.
They kick you off the site for telling the truth, censor every opinion going against the mainstream.
I've been a long-time subscriber to Flipboard but, suddenly, they locked me out of its App. I've had the same password for years but it won't let me log in. Even after I reset my password, the app still won't recognize it. I tried contacting Customer Service, but it's a chatbot. A live person doesn't respond.
5-stars on the site and app when you can get it to work, but then you don't use the android app for a few weeks, have to log in and then can't! That's after using it for years! Hate to give the app a low rating, but relying on it as a daily newspaper topic RSS reader type thing isn't happening.
About three weeks ago both my wife and I had a new application pop up asking for permissions to access apps on or phones. Prior to three weeks ago we had never seen this application, called Briefing on either of our phones, both the same model of Samsung.
I complaining to Flipboard about the app they falsely stated it was preload by Samsung. We have had our phones long enough to know that statement is a falsehood..
I enjoy being able to curate a feed that inspires. Flipboard has been beena good source of information and inspiration I might not have found elsewhere.
