Missed Delivery Date

I should have read the reviews before ordering. Like many of the other reviewers stated, Halloween Express is going to miss the Guaranteed Delivery Date. Do you guys understand the meaning of the word "Guaranteed"? I paid extra so my costume would arrive in time for a party. I don't need it 2 days after the party. I am hoping for a full refund, but it sounds like that's not going to happen.

Ordered something overnight express, paid extra for shipping. Gauranteed delivery today. No package. Called and was told 'for whatever reason' it was not shipped until today. HOW inconvenient. They do not deliver as promised. DO NOT RELY on HE.

Fraud

Halloween express emailed me a coupon offering a 27% off. For example ghost girls listed on their site for $567. Everyone else has the item listed for in the area of &360-$380. Their 27% off actually comes down to $419. Buyer beware of the fraud

Never again

I ordered outfit from Costume Express, UPS lost it and they refused to send overnight another for a Halloween party that weekend. UPS contacted me the day after Halloween and had located it. I told them to send it back and hung up. They're pathetic and UPS not much better

So my wife and I ordered an outfit for our 7-year-old (Star Wars Arf Trooper) on Oct 14,2015. On Oct 22, we received the helmet without the actual costume. We contacted the company and they said they would resend the entire costume.

Today, Oct 29, the same day they said the new costume should arrive, we received an email (at 6 PM Eastern, mind you...) saying that our order was canceled due to "inventory problems".

I can understand running out of costumes... but don't wait to tell us on the day it was supposed to arrive and 2 days (arguably ONE day since we didn't get notified until the nighttime) before Halloween!

Very disappointing and I will NEVER do business with them again.

Worst service ever on northlake in palm beach gardens fla, i walked in and watch around the store and was approach to checking of my purses without no good reason what so ever bad business and service will never return but happy you guys looked really foolish in the face when my purse open without any of ur property

Do not order from this company! I am having to go out and buy halloween costumes after ordering online and then learning they will NOT arrive on time for my kids to go to beggars night! I even paid extra shipping!

This company is the worst! Don't order from them. They take your money and you get... u guessed it nothing! I got scammed. My 4 and 5 year had no costumes for there fair. Sad kids and lost my money. Thanks halloween express. I hope your kids know how it feels to be scammed by pieces of crap like yourselves.

I can not express to readers how absolutely terrible this company is. I made my first purchase on Oct 6. After I had not received the package a week later I contacted a representative (after being on hold for 40 minutes) and she had stated it was in Toronto and to check my local post office. I had explained I live in a city with a population of 2.6 million people, we do not have a "local" post office. She then gave me the tracking number (which I had not received by email as promised). When I hung up and tried locating the tracking number on the Canada post website and it had not existed. When I called back I was then placed on hold for another 40 minutes only to be told by the next representative that the package was lost in Toronto (proof that the first employee either did not know what she was doing, or was lying to me). I asked to speak to a manager who said that she would refund me for the first order, and apply a discount to reorder the package again, including express shipping for my troubles. She had also told me she would send me a personal email when the package was being sent out, which of course did not happen. The second order was placed on October 16th and once again I did not receive the package. With that, my original order was $176, and I was only refunded HALF of that amount. After contacting costume express over 20 times, I was promised calls back to sort out the shortage of money by two other employees. But of course, no phone call was ever received. After just speaking to another manager, he stated the second package had arrived to my post office, which after checking with Canada post, they stated that this tracking number I was provided did not even exist, thus determining I was lied to yet again. We are now owed a lot of money for both transactions and have threatened to take legal action if the money is not refunded by tomorrows date. Buyers be warned, you will not receive your package, and monitor your banking as the refunds they promise you will not be received either. Lastly, do not assume they will call you back as good customer service representatives will do. Make sure you take down names and badge numbers and get the problem solved on the spot. It is a shame to think this terrible company could be still receiving/stealing money from its buyers.

AVOID HALLOWEEN EXPRESS!

These jokers shipped my order by throwing everything in an over sized box (with no individual packaging either) with no packing materials. One piece of paper was in it. No surprise the plastic products that got thrown around the box and banged up during shipping were damaged. They act like it's no big deal and refuse to refund my original shipping fee or my return shipping fee. Super unprofessional and lazy from the beginning to the very end. AVOID

Scammers

I ordered a costume for my daughter and paid extra for the separate wig to go with it. The costume arrived, but the wig did not despite the packing slip saying it was in the package. After calling customer service, sitting on hold for more than 10 minutes, I was told that they were shipping out a replacement wig, expedited and it would arrive last Thursday. It is now Monday and we have no wig. I received an email last week with an order number and when I went to their website to check the order status, it says that that order number doesn't exist... an order number taken directly out of an email sent by them! I'm currently waiting to speak with customer service again and have already been on hold for 15+ minutes. I have a feeling this is $15 I will never see again. Please buy your costumes elsewhere and don't give your business to these thieves!

BUY IT SOMEWHERE ELSE! My 4 yr old son loves dinosaurs and the costume he wanted was out of stock. I continued to searched online and finally found one at Halloween Express. I was thrilled. I ordered the costume on 10/13/2015, they processed payment on 10/14 and was guaranteed delivery by 10/21. On 10/22, I did not have the costume and called customer service. Waited 35 minutes to talk to someone and to get a blanket response that there was a shipping delay, the package was at UPS and it was getting scanned and I was guaranteed to have it by the end of 10/23. It is the morning of 10/23, checked my email and the website and I still do not have a tracking #! So far I have been on hold waiting to talk to someone in customer service for 20+ minutes. How does it take 8 business days to process an order? BIG FAIL COSTUME EXPRESS! We are attending a Halloween Party tomorrow and I have to 3 kids all 4 and under shopping at Halloween stores! Want to know what one of the stores do with broken merchandise? The manager will "fix" them by rigging them up to the package in a way so that the customer would not see that it is broken, then put it back on the shelf, they do this with expensive items too. - source used to work there.

I ordered two costumes and the one was way to big and the other included a mask. The mask smelled so bad it made me sick. It was also distorted, permanently wrinkled and none of the eye or mouth openings aligned. Top that off and the customer service was terrible. They wouldn't allow me to return the mask.

We spent 200.00 on 4 costumes. When we received them they were so junky none of us could wear them. Returned them only to gwt told we cannot have our money or the costumes back because it was over the 15 day return... we do get a 127.00 credit (Lost 73.00) but who would want to order from them again? Definitely not us!

The quality of the costume I got was terrible. And being an international buyer it was hard for me to return it. I would never buy again from Halloween Express. I had to buy another costume in my country that was cheaper and had better quality. I don’t understand how can the charge $45 dollars for something that is worth like 5 dollars, plus the shipping to my country. Not recommended at all.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! The young lady and older woman were NOT helpful whatsoever. They were pretty much pushing us out of the door. We asked questions and they were annoyed with every single one. For some reason I STILL purchased a costume. Got home and tried it on again a few days later realizing that it did NOT fit correctly. I called the store to ask if there's anyway I can return or exchange costume since I will NOT BE ABLE TO WEAR IT! They had my on hold for what felt like 10 minutes and a man answers. I let him know my situation and asked if there is anything he can do. He said "sorry ma'am since people are wearing these costumes we are unable to take them back" " mind you it was only 3 days that I had this costume in which it SAT IN THE BAG THE WHOLE TIME. I told him that and he continues with "sorry we just can't" are you kidding me?

I'm absolutely infuriated with this company and primarily the BRANDON HALLOWEEN EXPRESS.
I never IN MY LIFE have come across such horrible service. I don't recommend purchasing anything from that store.

Paid extra for guaranteed delivery date, and IT DID NOT SHOW UP ON TIME. Their remedy is to offer a store credit for the shipping costs only. You're still out the costume & replacement costs if you needed it that day, and have to pay shipping to return the costume out of your own pocket. THEN, to return an item, you have to sign in, fill out the return form, print numerous copies, wait for an email confirming the return & giving a return number, print THAT sheet & put it in the box, find the correct address to ship the return (there's a correct & incorrect address), write the return number on the package, pay for shipping, and then you can return it - most likely at a 15% restocking fee. If you don't like jumping through hoops, stay away from this store. They're not easy to work with.

I was gonna be the corpse bride this year. Browsed many costume online stores, finally I got this one. But I was so disappointed rather than surprised. My costume arrived 8 days after I placed my order. That was nice. However, the costume was far different from the one I want and the one in the cartoon. The wig was so fake. I don't even wanna use it. I should have get a casual white wedding dress from Persundresses.com. That was my former plan. But I am kinda on a budget, so I finally decided to get it from a costume store. This costed me $71.97. If I had known that, I would rather get the dress and draw it myself. I could do better than them. And the dress is just a little bit over $100 too. Warnings that everyone don't buy from them. They never offer a full refund even with tags. :(
