We have a sidewalk that goes up small hill. Hover round had no grip and your client slid down hill and chair and client fell. Client is on coumadin and this could of been very bad!
Thanks for the opportunity to be able to get advice on the Services and Hopefully be able to get a go around to get around.
I can't say did you do experience was good I called because I received a letter saying it was time to get my new chair they made a doctors appointment for me I went to the doctor he faxed them the info they told me he did not fax the info so I called the office they faxed it again then that same day I called back they said that they didn't have the info in time to use it the doctor waited too long only I had already received a call saying they were going to make an appointment to see about fixing mine and then I received a letter stating that I had until July 7 before my doctors stuff would expire and I did all this before July 7 so when I called them they made an appointment for me to go back to the doctor because she my stuff expired and had to be reevaluated again and told me I had never started any of the work on it and had to start from the beginning again which I know I called I know I went to the doctor I know my doctors paperwork was mailed emailed this to me is very bad service but I understand I can get a chair somewhere else it doesn't have to be a Hover round
I have a nice time talking with the person from Hoveround on the phone and the person was telling me all about the way it work and i can get my chair
I'm still waiting on my parts. No word from Horehound as to whether my order is complete. This is typical. I will have to call to verify.
Ive had a powerchair for 17 years. First 6 years I was with another company. Too many i's to dot & t's to cross to get rwcertified. How many times must a patient prove they're permanently disabled? Now Im diabetic. Had to choose my phone bill or my new meds, meds won
I have been an occupational therapist for close to 6 years now and have worked with many wheelchair companies providing durable medical equipment for my clients and also with many technicians and ATP certified representatives to make modified to chairs... This company was the most unprofessional and unreliable business I have ever had experience with and based on their incompetence, my patient very nearly did not receive the w/c adaptation he needed. After many, many calls, and many minutes spent on call waiting listening to screeching classical music, an appointment was made requiring my client to wait weeks to simply get the speed adjusted on his MVP5 w/c and then promptly canceled with the company promising to call me back to reschedule... the call never came. I called and asked why I our appointment was never rescheduled to which the representative stated "I cannot answer that question." It turns out the technician never had the programmer to make the internal speed changes.(why a technician would not have a programmer is beyond me). Why would you even initially schedule with a client before ensuring you have the appropriate tools to perform the job and then embarrassingly cancel? A simple speed adjustment has taken over a month and yet somehow the company found the time to withdraw the 120$ from my client's account... while we still await services. Please find your durable medical equipment needs elsewhere.
Friendly costumer service rep helpful, and very good explanation. I would recommend this company to anyone that would needs a power chair. Very experienced customer serve representatives and very friendly.
I'm hoping I qualify for a 4 wheel power scooter. I've had friends in the past that had this type nothing but good reviews so if I get one I'm sure I will be very satisfied.
I made the right choice. Only had to only go to my doctors once, they took care of everything elce. HAPPY BILL
My dr ordered a power chair but because i am able to take 3 steps with difficulty to my bathroom with my walker i was denied i fractured my vertibre and have a difficult time walking. I have a caretaker for 2 hours per day the remaining time i am here alone. A power chair would have given me the ability to move around. I will stay in bed rather than ask for a chair. Hoveround wont answer my concerns. I have reported them to medicare. Do not use this company
Thanks so much for a quick understanding of the process, made the appointment and was so professional and kind and caring!
Agent was very patient and professional with the doctors office. Hope my mom can get some help from you guys.
The young man who delivered my new chariot was very informative! This new chariot is a dream, and I can now move around much better. Looking into getting me a cage that hooks onto my car, so I can take over to my daughter's house on holidays. I'M FREE!
Talking to the agent was so helpful. She walked me through the application and insurance paperwork. She put me on hold to set up my doctor appointment and came back to me in a timely manner. I can't wait to get my chair.
Very informative, I learned alot about Hoveround and am telling all my friends about Hoveround, am excited about getting around inside and outsided can't wait till I receive my Hoveround.
The chair is too small. Seat is much smaller than my last Hovraround chair. Chair sits higher than my. Last
Did not come with the little bag or cup holder. I feel squashed in this chair. O have not used it because I want the same size chair I have. My. Arms don't sit comfortably on the arm rest. This chair is not a improvement over the last chair. If I can't have the same size I had before, then come back and get this new chair. I don't want it. I'll continue to use my old chair until it breaks down.
I wouldn't choose any other company. Hoveround is the best. Products, quality and service. I've been an client about 5 years now and they always professional and shows clients they care.
I love to ride a brand new PWC very much! It is so comfortable seat with headrest, recline and swivel on everything that make me happy!
Answer: Some seem to be getting the equipment supplier mixed up with Medicare. Medicare has theirs own agenda (deny! Deny! Deny!), like most insurance co. Who don't want to pay out. Power wheelchair and scooter companies just do what they can. If a doctor prescribes and Medicare accepts/denies, its not the companies' fault. The doctor is valued to do his duty the best he can and Medicare supposed to do right by the benefiticary. I don't know. Seems a lot of blame is possible, not just with one side of it.

Answer: Yes, if doctor can prove medically necessary. Doctor must make file notes to support and you must have an office visit that only addresses the need for your chair.
